The hotel was quite difficult to find, being at the end of a street in the middle of a noisy building site and overlooking the railway line. However, it is convenient for Bristo! Temple Meads Station, being only a few minutes walk away. The room was very clean, had a large comfy bed and everything you need for one night's stay. The shower was good and had plentiful hot water. However you were only given one small bath towel each, no hand towel, so the towel soon got sopping wet. I cannot comment on breakfast. I was convinced I had booked breakfast but reception insisted the booking was room only. I skipped breakfast, not wishing to pay another £8.95. All in all this hotel is good but it is right in the middle of a building site and you can hear trains until after midnight so keeping the window closed is a good idea. The hotel itself is quiet inside and I did not hear any noise from any adjoining room. There is a very good Wetherspoon's in a nearby square.
Very close to Bristol Temple Meads station. A great value hotel. A tidy quiet room. The breakfast was OK. We had a drink in the bar Which was fine. Parking is a bit if a problem but there is parking nearby
3 friends shared a family room whilst we went to Cardiff to watch an international. Great to be able to check in early and had a brilliant nights sleep. Really close to Railway station and a couple of bars and restaurants
Hotel is expensive but location is good. It is ot the best IBIS where I have been and it is expensive comparing with what you get on return. However after checking hotels nearby, IBIS is the most convenient option
Have stayed here on a number of occasions, though this is the first time since the refurb of reception and bar, all very nice. Dinner was ok though a few things were missing from menu. Overall a nice, friendly atmosphere.
I have stayed here a number of times and the staff are always very helpful and the rooms are clean and just what you want for a night or two. I also found the new beds very comfortable. I stayed half-board and it was definitely worth it - £23 for a two-course meal, drink and breakfast. The meal included *almost* everything on the normal restaurant menu and I ended up saving about £10-15. The breakfast buffet was much better than expected, there was a choice of fried breakfast (bacon, sausage, egg, beans and hash browns), as well as porridge, cereals, toast and mini pastries. The lady operating the breakfast area was very friendly each morning and made you feel very welcome for breakfast.
Hotel was clean with friendly helpful staff, room was good and clean, basic but good value for money. The bar area was good and plenty of seats, food was okay and again the staff were really attentive and provided good service.
The staff were helpful and accommodating particularly as I arrived very late on the night. The room was comfortable and I had a good night's sleep.Breakfast was varied, plentiful and enjoyable. The location of the hotel was convenient for the railway station and buses.
My stay at this hotel was for just one night. I found the room to be adequate for my stay together with a tea and coffee making facility inside the room. All features of the room worked with the exception of a dodgy bedside light switch. The only thing I would have preferred this hotel to offer is some vending machine facilities for out of hours use or in my case out of season use when all of the local shops are closed for Christmas.
I booked this hotel as I was getting a late flight back into Bristol. Unfortunately, my flight was cancelled. I called up to cancel the hotel and they said no refunds were available. Fair enough, it was on the day, but they offered to transfer my stay to another night, but only if I could tell them then and there when I wanted it for. As I was in the middle of trying to rearrange a flight and get a hotel in Amsterdam for the night, this was an utterly useless offer and the staff were very unhelpful.
Having stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions it is important that you know exactly what to expect. It certainly is not the Ritz but if your looking for value for money this hotel is top of the league
This is a no frills hotel. It does what it does well, and the price reflects this. Well located - walking distance from Bristol Temple Meads railway station. The decor and furnishing is all minimalist - OK, but rather cold and impersonal. But if you want a bed for the night, with an efficient hotel, it's fine
I always enjoy staying with you, it is always so friendly, meals are good and plenty of selection, It is fairly close to a railway station. Makes a good walk as long as it is not raining. It is qite quiet in the hotel, even with building work taking place next door.
Well 3rd Ibis in a year or so & this one came in 3rd. A few small details that werecbelowcexpectations, pladtuc teaspoons in rooms = a low mark, no waste bin in room = poor show. Breakfast was low score, the solid block of scrambled egg tsted disgusting looks like had been there for at least an hour.
A good hotel in a great convenient location We needed the train station to go to Cardiff the next day so worked well Clean and quiet - rooms were simple but had all that you needed Restaurant food Choice slim but close to a Wetherspoons
Booked a room more than big enough for 3 people. Very spacious, modern ,clean and bright. Could not fault it. Staff friendly and security good. Close proximity to the train station. Only a short walk and a cheap taxi ride away from the bars and restaurants!
Very pleasant and helpful staff but hotel requires modernising, interior and bedrooms very depressing. Breakfast o.k. and service good but some fresh fruit would have been appreciated. However situated very close to the station.
Ibis Bristol Temple Meads Quay is ideally situated just 3 minutes walk from the main railway station and 1 minute from the Bristol Ferry boat service. God value for money with friendly staff providing excellent service. Bar and Restaurant very comfortable and the buffet style breakfast served from 0630 was very good. Hotel is in a quiet area, some rooms on the upper floors have views of the City.
The hotel was excellent. However, one item left in the room has disappeared - the mobile telephone charging unit. I called the hotel requesting collection of the unit but no reply came back. Had it been found, it would have been collected. Apart from that, the service at the hotel was very good as was the drinks bar and breakfast.
Awesome hotel, great place, stylish clean rooms and a walk away from some of the best clubs in the UK. The food is good and the room service is also good, well priced drinks and the price isn't too bad considering its proximity to Motion.
