The hotel was excellent. However, one item left in the room has disappeared - the mobile telephone charging unit. I called the hotel requesting collection of the unit but no reply came back. Had it been found, it would have been collected. Apart from that, the service at the hotel was very good as was the drinks bar and breakfast.
Awesome hotel, great place, stylish clean rooms and a walk away from some of the best clubs in the UK. The food is good and the room service is also good, well priced drinks and the price isn't too bad considering its proximity to Motion.
Not much to say. all the staff was amazing. loved my time there. close to everything. would recommend to anyone who wants to arrive by train and immediately get in the room. less than 5 min walk to the station and you don't hear the trains.
City centre hotel. Parking a little bit of a problem but there is a multistorey car park nearby. They do arrange parking for the disabled provided you show your blue badge. Brilliant hotel with pleasant staff. Very good value for money. Lovely food. One of the best in is hotels that we have stayed in for the money.
Relaxed convenient stay. Room very clean and facilities fine. Comfortable bed. Not much of a view. A somewhat 'clinical'/''spartan' feel to the room the addition of even a small print on the walls would make a difference.
Regular place to stay while working in Bristol. Hotel is conveniently located only 5 minutes from the train station and 10-15 minutes from the centre of town. Staff are very friendly and welcoming and the online service makes for a very quick and easy check in (and out). The rooms while of a typically basic Ibis design, are always clean and fresh with both heating and cooling air conditioning. The bar is well stocked and the evening food menu has something for everyone. Overall the Ibis Bristol Temple Meads has everything you need for a comfortable stay at a good price in a good location.
Absolutely excellent hotel - service - everything first class I thoroughly enjoyed breakfasts and evening meals. Well done Ibis Temple Meads Quay. Location was also excellent as i am studying Accounts at the nearby Kaplan college. Also very hand being so close to the train station.
Love this hotel. It is clean, comfortable and convenient. I stayed there twice....once on my way to Glastonbury and then on my return trip before getting a train to London. I did think it was a bit pricey food and bar wise, but I would still recommend this hotel and I would stay there again...especially if I could stay in room 708.... the Alice in Wonderland Room....magical!
Just 3 minutes walk from Bristol Temple Meads Station and 1 minute from the Temple Meads Quay. Easy check-in and check-out with very friendly and helpful staff. Good Bar and Restaurant and excellent buffet style breakfast. Quiet location and a good nights sleep.
The hotel is in a good location, very close to the train station and perhaps 10-15 minutes walk from the centre of town. It's ideal to travel to this hotel by train, just walk to the hotel from the Bristol Temple Meads railway station over a pedestrian walkway. The area clearly has undergone a transformation in recent years with nice new modern buildings, pedestrianised area and bridges over the river. The hotel is clean, tidy and absolutely fine if you're a on a budget. Unfortunately, apart from the Weatherspoon's pub near by, and the hotel restaurant, there is nowhere to eat nearby, so you'll need to walk into town, and cheap meals are not on offer in Bristol in the evening, unless you want a BigMac or Kentucky Fried chicken. There's a great sandwich shop called Philpotts nearby if you're in the vicinity of the hotel at lunchtimes.
Excellent service and value for money, Good location and close to Bristol Temple mead station. Very helpful staff and manager. Food was great too. I highly recommend dinner and a drink at the Bar. Quick check-in too
We had the same experience in November last year by being woken at 5am by rowdy guests shouting and banging on doors. our grandson in another room was also woken. Very frightening when it happens. A fire extinguisher was left outside our door. Like the hotel such a shame
The hotel was difficult to find and the girl on the phone when I called to ask directions was unhelpful. On arrival I was welcomed, checked in and directed to my room. The room was clean and well presented. I had booked an evening meal package The menu was ok, but nothing special. On the second evening there were two menu items that were not available. My room was on the first floor not far from the lift and it was very noisy. The main concern was the comfort of the bed. It was HARD. I did speak to reception and they got housekeeping to provide another very very thin topper which was cheap foam. Sadly it is not a hotel I would recommend or use again.
This hotel is 5 minutes walk from the station and the ferry boat into town. Cabot's Circus a short walk away and about 20 minutes walk along the canal into the city centre. Pubs and wine bar just around the corner. We have stayed here many times. This time we were in a magical Alice in Wonderland themed room on the 7th floor. We loved it. Always good value and very friendly staff.
This is a very good Ibis. The rooms are modern and comfortable. The location near the station is convenient. The staff are friendly and very efficient. The reception and bar areas don't look much, but there is a nice and laid-back atmosphere thanks to the staff, who make an effort to help without being overbearing. Handy tear-off map of Bristol available at reception.
We stayed at this Ibis the weekend after Easter. Having also stayed over Easter when it was very noisy the next weekend was a peaceful contrast. Staff as ever are helpful and friendly responding quickly to any requests. The room was comfortable and clean with a very efficient shower. It is a short walk from the railway station and you can catch a passenger water farry into the centre just a short walk over a footbridge. Unfortunately no hotel parking the recommended car park is 24 hour monitored, a short walk away and quite expensive but if you are prepared to walk 10 mins or so you can find free parking in the outlying roads. There are also short stay lay-bys by the hotel £1/£2 per 1 or 2 hours. It is free after 5pm ‘til 9am and all day Sunday and Bank hols. It is lovely that the check out is later at the weekend (12pm) and the weekend breakfast is also served ‘til 12pm. We would stay here again !
This hotel is ideal for Temple Meads station, quiet rooms, usual amenities, good service Good value for money, as is usually the case with Ibis Hotels Didn't use bar/restaurant, check-in/out absolutely flawless
All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was very close to the station and buses and within walking distance to the shopping centre and amenities. Breakfast was self service and you cold have as little or much as you liked.
Easy access to the trains and to the airport are big plus points. I slept well, had a good meal in the restaurant, all at a very fair price. There is a big building site opposite the hotel entrance, the surroundings should be more attractive when this is finally finished.
Really great location, ideal if your on a short stay or in town for business. Book far enough in advance and staying here really makes sense. The staff are always very helpful and the food is good for its price (not saying its good or bad just you get what you pay for
