I last stayed here 18 months ago and all is still very good for this class of Hotel, it's a good location from which to go to business meetings and the Grand Mall is only 10 minutes walk away. The Breakfast Buffet is good and the A la Carte in the evening is excellent, though a somewhat limited choice.
I stayed 3 nights and their were not internet connection at room, it disturb my business trip. the staff was not able to solve it! The manager promise! to provide compensation but never happen! Our Muscat office close to this hotel, I do not plan to stay there again! Also I dont advise others in my company to stay there. My experience with accors hotels is good but not with ibis Muscat hotel.
the hospitality is good the rooms are somewhat small for 2 persons with more than 1 luggage the swimming pool is missing in the restaurant there shall be the possibility for foreigners to get some wine
Hotel is ideally located providing excellent service and value for money. Staff were always receptive to our requests. Only problem encountered was the not so good wifi. Need to improve WIFI connectivity.
If I were staying as a single, it might have been fine, but we went as a couple and could hardly get by each other in the room. Mold in the shower. No face cloths. No toiletries. For the same price, there are apartment hotels that are much more spacious and offer better amenities. I guess I should have known when their website stated, "new sheets" as an amenity. Isn't that a given? It took us 30 minutes to receive our dinner in the lobby restaurant - and there were only 4 people there. On a positive note, the staff was all very friendly and accommodating. It is what it is: No frills.
service was found wanted as an Iron box request was never met, even after personally meeting up the front office person. I was wondering if you really mean the 15 minutes promise or its on you, or its just hype.
Wi-Fi does not work in the rooms, bad service.very small rooms, clean and tidy. Location is 25/30 min drive to city centre, a few restaurants near by. Breakfast nothing great for the price. A place good for sleepand shower only.
I always stay in Ibis whenever I come to Muscat. I like this hotel, its facilities, and its unique location plus I am a member of Le Club Accor which gives me some extra benefits, however I still complain of the very bad quality of internet
First of all very hotel has friendly staff at reception. They are always smile and helpful. We came early at 11 a.m and we got a room. But I didn't like view from window. The receptionist offered other room with view of the big mosque. We also asked late check out. There are two big malls near hotel, some supermarkets and many shops. City center is about 10 minutes by car. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable. This Ibis is better than Ibis in Europe because there are box safe, fridge, kettle and porcelain cups in the room. Every day we got two bottles of water. Restaurant is also good and it works 24 hours. I like this hotel.
I found the Ibis Hotel clean, modern, comfortable and accessible to taxis. Close to eateries, there is a great little restaurant called Jadara nearby. Check out my review about this restaurant separately.
Staff was helpfull and kind, especially the lady taking care of the rest and meeting rooms, but the facility requires some cleaning. Some fresh juice for breakfast might help to increase the quality of food
On of the best on the area, reasonable price, and friendly staff, I enjoy dinning in room, only the room TV program and screen size not good enough, but yes overall the place is nice, quiet, comfortable, and will love to go back again and spend more time there
Overall this Hotel met my expectations, but as I was on a business trip, the operation of the WiFi was essential. It was of predominantly poor quality and frequently dropped out. This was mentioned to the Front Desk, who advised that this was an ongoing problem that was yet to be fixed. In addition the light over the desk was insufficiently bright to read easily. That said overall my stay was good, the food was good and the staff were helpful and friendly.
I spent two enjoyable nights at the IBIS Hotel Muscat. Staff were very helpful and prompt to assist. The hotel is very conveniently located and has excellent amenities and represents good value for money. Highly recommended.
The rooms are very small and the bathrooms even smaller and all with very basic facilities. At 50+ OMR per night including breakfast the Ibis in Muscat is in my opinion bad value. On my next trip to Muscat I will definitely look elsewhere.
The staff generous and helpful, the location of the hotel is perfect for those who come for business as it is in downtown The rooms are very small, even if I compare the price I paid for my stay with the different hotels: then the price is bit high for the size of these rooms. The restaurant is quite good. The location did had other similar hotels, however I would prefer this hotel again Thanks
The Signals of the Wifi is very weak and the speed is also very slow & the standard of the food for the breakfast is very low.The varity of fruits is very less and not properly arranged.No sleepers in the washroom.
For a last minute booking during Eid, room availability and rate was very welcoming from an IBIS brand. We were driving from Dubai, and the border process delayed our arrival. I step into the hotel at 3pm, presented our reservation copy and i was soon given my room card. Nobody came down to pick my bags from the car or even offered help. The room was small but comfortable enough for a business hotel standards. We dint bother the shortages since we knew we would spend most of the time with friends exploring the town. The following day at the breakfast lounge, we were really taken back with lack of experience the staff had to handle such a large guest at the hotel. The lounge was really noisy with the angry guests with just two staff from the restaurant, attending, refiling, cleaning and clearing plates and tables. Strangely nobody from the hotel management turned up to pour experience or to calm the guest. The location did have other four star hotels, and i would venture those the next time.
Excellent - very friendly, fit for purpose. Comfortable practical rooms. Great if ice machine in each floor or shared between floors. Good location to get to meetings. Staff very friendly and helpful.
The hotel is in a developing neighborhood of Muscat, away from the hustle and bustle of downtown area, but with access to every sort of amenity. Rooms were quiet and relatively well-serviced. Reception agents were extremely polite and helpful. A negative is the omnipresence of flies on the breakfast buffet every single day!
