Ibis budget is too small. Only one person can get dressed, the other has to stay on he bed out of the way. Breakfast not up for o ibis standard. Toilet did not work properly and no one to repair it. Tried to get our money back and stay elsewhere but it appears we used an outside company for the reservations it was not possible. Ibis is a ood hotel chain but the few dollars saved by using Ibis budget us not worth it.

We visited several chateaux in the area. The hotel is very clean and well kept. The staff welcoming and friendly. Easy to park in the secure car park. We enjoyed views over vineyards and fields on the edge of town. We highly recommend this budget hotel.

Really appreciate your stay on this Hotel. There is a vineward just in front of the hotel and the area is excellent for jogging and morning walks. Hotel provides a free parking lot that is good for people travelling with a car

The hotel was very nice, exactly what you expect from an Ibis Budget. The room was clean and confortable. The breakfast was good. It was well located. Just what we needed for the night. Everything is automatic, so I didn't see the staff around much. But I knew it was gonna be like that. It's nice. I'd stay there again.

The Ibis Budget is very convenient to Amboise, and reasonably priced. It includes free parking, and a good breakfast at a reasonable cost. Rooms are very compact, and the shower opens up directly into the room, so be prepared for a little inconvenience. There are not many dining options close to the hotel. But it is an excellent base for seeing the chateaus in the Loire Valley if you are on a budget..

This is the 3rd time we've stopped here overnight on the way to the Dordogne. The hotel is spotlessly clean; rooms are no frills, but spacious, with great shower facilities and staff are very friendly and accommodating.

I have stayed at the Ibis Budget before and as usual the room was clean and practical. The Manager was very helpful when I had a problem with my mobile phone. He also ordered me a taxi when needed. In all, a very pleasant stay.

Beds are not comfortable, but the welcome and assistance given was great. I had a super meal down town at Le Reserve. I wouldn't bother going to the Novetel next door, they were not polite at all. Great location to see the Chataux.

This hotel has free secure parking. I only use Accor places which have on site free parking. This hotel is in a good location - easily accessible on the outskirts of Amboise on a hill overlooking the town. We have used this as a stop over a number of times on our way down to Southern France and Spain. It is possible to walk into town from the hotel - I guess it takes about half an hour. Good exercise after a day's drive. Lots of restaurants to choose from, but we stay away from the main street near the castle. We found alternative places to eat through Trip Adviser. Highly recommended.

Although it is a short drive to the centre of Amboise and the attractions, this hotel is quiet and right on the edge of the city, convenient for road access. We ate well in the city centre but there is a restaurant in the next-door Novotel for anyone wishing to eat there. The classic Amboise attractions of the Chateau and Clos Luce are fabulous. If there on a sunny evening, do go down to the riverside to see the Chateau bathed in setting sunlight; it is really beauiful.

Excellent service, thought rather hard to find, sat-nav sent us in circles. When found, lovely setting, great views. Breakfast excellent. Staff friendly. Busy but nothing to much trouble. Great evening meal next door. Please include a map on your print off.

I have stayed in Ibis hotels before and ranked them on a par with Travel lodge however the bedroom accommodation in this Ibis budget was budget, I doubt I will stay in in an Ibis budget again. The accommodation was cramped and no tea/coffee provision i he bedrooms. The hotel could not provide an evening meal and we had to go into town to have dinner

This hotel is well placed for Amboise with a 15-20 min walk to the old town. It is an old ETAP hotel but needs some IBIS management and experience done on it. Staff need some training in customer service as they don't seem to like their jobs. Reception was never opened (although there are times posted for opening times) staff seem to keep the front door closed and get guests to check in via the "check in machine" at the door. Even although there was staff near the reception they seemed to be doing other things and preferred to have the guests use there codes to go in and out of the hotel. We had to change rooms as the WiFi would not work (signal weak). In the second room the WiFi was excellent. Main thing with this hotel is it needs some IBIS touch. We have stayed at many IBIS hotels and this was the worse, not to the standard!

Overall, we had a decent experience at the hotel. The price is excellent, and we were able to easily travel around the Liore Valley. There may be better locations, but this was sufficient. The only issue we had was with the WIFI. It was extremely difficult to stay connected once a device was locked, or taken away from the hotel. The bathroom is unique. It is not in a separate room. The shower has a frosted door, but is open to the room. The toilet is in its own, enclosed room.

3

It is well situated, well priced; has a reasonably priced and tasty breakfast; the bed was confortable, secure parking, but on arrival I (always) inspect the toilette and the toilet seat was dirty...They did come immediatly and cleaned it thoroughly, but that first impression lingered during the 2 nights we stayed there.

A good stop over hotel to break up a long journey. It is clean and the rooms comfortable but basic - you get what you pay for. It is, however, situated on the outskirts of Amboise, which means that you really need to take the car if you want to see the town. If you've had a long drive the last thing you want is to get back in the car to look for somewhere to eat which means that you really have no choice other to use the Novotel next door. The food there is ok, but you could be eating anywhere in the world and not in a country famed for its exquisite cuisine.

An easy to book hotel within easy reach of all the Loire Valley Chateau and other splendid sites. Plenty of secure parking and run by excellent staff. Spotlessly clean offering bright rooms with comfortable beds and pillows. Excellent lighting and room facilities. No Kettle provided so take you own if needed although drinks are available from a machine 24/7. Rooms have separate shower and toilet with wash basin in the room. Good TV fcilities and WiFi which was instantly accessed. Breakfast plentiful and adequate. Would recommend without reserve.

We have stayed at this Hotel on a number of occasions on our way to and from our house in France. It is good value and to criticise it would be unfair. I would recommend always ask for a room with the view over the city. It is a bit of a walk to get to the restaurant areas but we find that good therapy having spent 3/4 hours or so hours in the car. I think an ice machine would be a good not too expensive item to install in reception as there is no bar.
