I am a frequent customer of Accor Hotels and one of the things that drives me to stay at Ibis during my business trips is that you always know what you will find.
However, in Buenos Aires I had a not very pleasant surprise. In average, the hotel is like any other Ibis around the world. However, some details were different this time:
1 - In my first night they turned on the heat. I woke up at 4 a.m. sweating and were not able to sleep anymore because the a.c. is not manageable. You can chose between turning it on or off, but you can decide the temperature you want neither if it on hot or cold mode. When I complained about it, the concierge just told me it works this way and the only thing I could do was to turn it off.
2 - The hair dryer only works if ALL the lamps in the bathroom are on. Not a big deal, but nobody informs you that, and when I asked if someone could check, the concierge explained to me how it works as it was pretty obvious;
3 - A guy was robbed during breakfast!! They poorly manage the safety of the hotel;
4 - Staff in general are not very gentle.
Bed, shower and breakfast are in accordance with all Ibis hotels.
