Stayed in this hotel a few times now and I have always enjoyed staying at Ibis Auckland. Good value for money and everything you need is there in a nice little room and at a very handy central location.

Great price. The staff are terrific even arriving after midnight. Great comfortable bed. Room spotless. Breakfast box was good. Twin cooking plates if you want to cook. Microwave kettle crockery fridge coffe and tea sugar and little milks..Stayed twice enjoyed my stay

The hotel is well managed and comfortable. The only thing that I would like to comment was the breakfast package. A breakfast box was given instead with basic coffee. Would not choose to include the breakfast package next time.

If you don't need fancy and will trade room size for a substantial cost saving then this is the hotel for you. The 3 staff members I encountered on the main desk were very helpful, knew the tricks for cheap parking and the best places for food. Room was tiny but had everything you need. Comfortable bed and decent shower. Very clean. No on site parking so better for travellers without a car.

This is a centrally located hotel in Auckland which I found to be an excellent budget hotel. It has fairly good facilities in both the room and the hotel as well. Although the hotel was slightly small, however it was very clean and had all the basic facilities such as refrigerator, stove, coffee/tea making facility, television. generally enjoyed the stay in this hotel and the service of the staff in the hotel was very satisfactory. Check in and check out was a breeze and very efficient. The only shortcoming was the noise at night coming from the pubs below which was located next to the hotel. The hotel provided ear plugs in anticipation of this problem. Overall enjoyed this place very much and was very cheap as well for a well located hotel such as this one.

the room was simply smelly, the toilet water did not reside, the carpet smelled , the kitchenette was dirty and smelly, the entire experience was the worst i ever stayed in a Ibis hotel, the heater was faulty

Room was just what i needed for a quick stay. Small and tidy. Hotel is easy to find. Stuff not overly friendly and should tell you at check in, not to put your room card near your phone. I paid for a room with a kitchenette, only to not have one. There are nightclubs close by and it's nosey on the weekend. It's not quiet in the morning, got woken early by glass bottles, being thrown out. Oh and i was on the 16th floor.

I was looking for something close to the centre that wouldn't cost a lot but was clean. This was fine, very minimum space but it contained a shower, toilet, small fridge & cooktop, microwave, jug, sink, tea& coffee. Two beds a chair & iron...pretty amazing how they all fitted. Service was fine. The sign outside wasn't that visible is probably my only complaint.

Cleanliness: The room was not properly cleaned up as there was noodle found in the kettle and floor was not vacuumed. Bed was not tidied up too. Breakfast: If not for the pre-paid, I would not use the breakfast. The pre-paid breakfast set was miserable - only a plastic box contains a bottle of juice, a packet of milk and museli oat, a small packet of jam/peanut butter/marmite, a small piece of cookie and two packets of toast-like cookie. Room is rather small with no chair or writing desk. The pantry unit is quite redundant as you have to request for utentils/cutlery if you want to use them. No proper place to hang your clothes as the hanging area is too high to reach. No hair dryer in the room. Bathroom space is very tight. Service: The front-desk staff are generally helpful. Location is very good.

Great location, friendly staff and good price. Need to have a chair in the room as I can't reach coathangers in wardrobe & also somewhere to use laptop in the room. Also only one lift working at the time which meant delays. But happy to recommend.

I often stay at Ibis budget hotels in Europe and have always found them basic but clean, well maintained and good value for money. This hotel lacks in the cleanliness department. My room didn't feel clean, the bedding was stained and the room smelt of urine ( had to keep windows open at all times). Only 1 of the 2 lifts worked, which meant long waits for it to come at peak times and you couldn't use the staircase as the doors were locked. The breakfast is pretty bad, a little box containing warm fruit juice, small bag of cereal, UHT milk and some hard bread with varying spreads. The only plus was reasonable coffee and you could make your own toast. The staff were friendly though and the location is very good. Just a shame it doesn't keep to the same standards as it's European hotels.

Very happy with accommodation, yes its small and compact, but it had electrical appliances we needed and was very clean. Very handy to Queen Street. Receptionists who served us were very helpful and we would definitely stay there again. Ok we were only stayling for one night, but suited us and agreat cheap price.

I paid $299 for no air conditioning, didn't have any sleep as it was Saturday night and very noisy, tiny bathroom, door cards that had to be programmed three times, asked for dirty sheet to be removed - did it myself - asked three times for it to be picked up from the hall - it wasn't.

The location is fantastic. Easy walk to Queen Street shops and all the central city attractions. Easy to get to from the airport - Skybus stops very close to the hotel. Supermarket close by, not to mention lots of cafes and restaurants. Britomart and ferry terminal only a short walk away. The room was small and very expensive, particularly for a 'budget' hotel, however, the staff were helpful and friendly and the room was clean. We stayed over a weekend and it was fairly noisy, but we expected that being right in the central city. The only thing that would stop us staying here again would be the price. However, as there was a big event on the weekend we stayed the prices may have been higher than normal.

Such a ridiculously handy location. We stayed one night this time on the end of a 2 week trip to Australia. We went out into the viaduct with a friend to celebrate St. Patricks. The reception were friendly, warm and check in/out seems extra quick at Accor hotels? We've stayed in this building on several occasions and really the only downside to the property is the road noise - Maybe get some triple glazing on those windows!

Excellent location with fully equipped kitchen, however, room is so small that you must eat on bed from which you can touch walls. No storage space. Staff are friendly and helpful but have standard reply, "After all this is a BUDGET hotel!"

Tiny rooms where if you open a bag you cannot walk. Basic bathroom and toilet infrastructure. No facility to hang, place clothes except for 2 hooks behind main door. Excellent reception staff but average housekeeping.

though I am aware that this is a Ibis Budget and you can't expect too much, I was quite dissapointed of the quality of the room, I guess that who made the lay-out of the room didn't think too much about the confort of the guest. it is sold as a little studio and there is a mini-kitchen that it is not very useful as there is no table where you could eat what you cooked and however there is no place for a cupboard or something to hang your clothes, there is a smal cubicle with hanger placed almost 2 m. height and sharing espace with blankets and other stuff which doesnt allow too much place for anything.

This IBIS requires advanced payment and no refund. The room is tiny, the bathroom with shower is the size of my closet, there is no HVAC, had to beg for a fan when the room was very hot with only minor ventilation..this property was formerly a Formula 1 and they have unsucessfully tried to upgrade to an IBIS so Accor could jack up the rates...A regular guest pays $69.00 NZ but it cost me $199 so Accor could jack up the rates without the amenities normally associated with an IBIS. No Accor points even though the reservation said I would get points, the room was hot, there was no microwave or stove as indicate in the reservation, no common area to speak of in the Lobby....I will never stay in another IBIS Budget if it offers this foremat...

Our three night stay at the Budget Ibis was satisfactory and overall we were satisfied. Room were very small, no seating or case stands but clean and adequately equipped. Staff were friendly and helpful. The reason for choosing the Ibis however has got to be location. Right in the centre of things with an easy walk to the shopping, waterfront and transportation provision. Can be noisy however so go for a high floor
