No Air Conditioning - had to sleep with Balcony door open to get some air flow and cool the place down because room was very hot. Bed was too short. Had to try and sleep with legs hanging over the end of the bed. Very expensive for room type.

Small rooms!! No AC or ceiling fan. Had to leave patio door open for air. Back alley backs on to bars and garbage collections. Very noisy. Smallest 2 twin room I have ever stayed in. Great beds and linens though! Great location. Budget best describes this hotel.

I spent 2 nights there and was glad to leave. The hotel is opposite a noisy building site, and my room was close to the noise of a late night bar. My room was small and there was a cockroach in the kitchen area. Disinterested staff and a poor hotel. On the plus side, the hotel is located centrally.

The bathroom was run down and unpleasant, the linoleum was peeling from the wall and there was a smell of damp The toilet got soaked by the shower and the water pooled under the toilet after the shower was used. The TV in the room did not work, it appeared that it was not connected to anything. The pillows extremely uncomfortable.

The hotel was in an excellent location. The first few days the second elevator was not working so that was a pain. Staff was very good with any needs. Did not realize- no air conditioning in the room. This may not usually be needed in Auckland but as one woman I met said, ''This has been the hottest January on record.'' The staff did provide me with a fan and that was perfect for me. I normally do not care for air conditioning, but it does help provide 'white noise' when in the city. Would try again if ever in town.

Spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed and beautiful linen. Perfect location just off Queen St. Would stay there again - smallish room but great value. Quite warm but as we were on 17th floor got a lovely through breeze leaving our balcony door ooen

Positive: People working the front desk were nice and helpful Negative: Rooms were not clean. Blanket had stains, the carpeted floor was dirty (despite the room service), the space to hang things was too high on the wall (had to request chair to reach it), too much noise, had to change rooms - the room I got changed into didn't have functioning wifi so had to change rooms again, one of the elevators wasn't working If you stay here ask for the rooms that are higher up. The lower ones look nothing like the picture and are not very nice, the ones higher in the building actually look like the picture. Personally, I would not stay there again.

i would recommend this hotel for a short stay in Auckland. The rooms are super small so you wouldn't want to be spending too much time in one. We were there in a heat wave and would have loved air conditioning. We had to keep the door slightly open for air and the noise from outside was quite loud. But the location is excellent and the desk staff were very polite, helpful and informative. The discounted parking and breakfast nearby certainly helped make our stay hassle free.

Gréât location, very obliging reception, friendly staff. Everyone who works at this facility is there to serve you and does it well. Luggage storage was a great service. A continental breakfast is available and moderately priced. Great value for the cost.

Whilst this is clearly called a budget hotel, $200 a night is at the top end of budget. The room was smaller than I recall Ibis being normally, and there was no cooling provided in the room. In many cases leaving a window or ranch slider open is suitable, but in the middle of Auckland the noise made that a non event. We sweltered instead. Parking was suggested at Wilson's behind the hotel and we had to get our ticket validated. This inferred at the least a discount, but at $45 for overnight I was convinced I had taken out a share in the place. However, the place was clean and tidy and the staff very helpful. The suggested café just up the road offered a discount for guests so some of the disappointment was lightened.

The hotel is tiny but the level is the same as in France if you use the same type of hotel. I'm used more to Novotel and Mercure style but for one night is more than sufficient It was clean and located near the city center

This budget hotel was in a good central spot. We were shocked that our $209 room was absolutely tiny and the only thing that saved it was the tiny balcony. It had a funny smell, the shower went everywhere, it had a small stovetop with no pots, cutlery or crockery. They provided one set of earplugs for a couple - is that one each? For what we paid and got in return, it was a top off! WiFi password was provided, but never hooked up. Will never stay again!

My son and I stayed for 2 nights while in Auckland for a conference. Small room but adequate and I was aware of that. It was not as noisy as I expected being in the centre of the city. Clean and tidy and staff were very helpful. Thank you

I booked a night online and managed to get the wrong ibis. I was flying into Auckland at mid nite and needed a bed close to the airport. I booked and paid online, and within a few hours realised my error. I emailed the ibis Auckland central and explained my mistake, asking them to transfer my booking to the ibis Auckland airport. I received nothing. Not even an acknowledgement. I emailed them a number of times from my holiday destination to try and get this sorted and ended up getting hold of my daughter in NZ who rung up. She was told they could not transfer the booking and that she should book again with the airport ibis, and that it would take a few days to reimburse my credit card. They did say that they were not obligated to give me a refund but they would do it. yeah right! The only correspondence I have got from Auckland central ibis is asking me to stay xthere again. Not likely. If this is the service I get without even staying there....definitely not my kind of place

Good location. Good view. Very small rooms, minimum closet. Breakfast in a box is not satisfactory. 2 lifts for 17 floors with 8 rooms per floor is not enough. If you go by Skybus from the Airport, it leaves you 2 blocks away. The stop to go back to the airport if 4 blocks away.

Great value for the money in central downtown Auckland, close to everything. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Stayed in a room on a higher floor with a kitchenette and all was functional and clean. On'y downside have to request utensils but no real hassle.

My wife was walked in on while getting dressed and was told this was his room we were locked out of the room was told by reception that we were supposed to have stayed the previous night Friday Ilucky I had a confirmation reservation number for the Saturday The fridge had the previous guests milk and water They gave us a complementary night as compensation but if we were not there

Over the duration of my stay I can't say I was impressed. The service wasn't the best in regards of taking complaints seriously. Every night for my 4 night stay I had to reset my door access card as it would never work. I was asked if I was keeping my card next to my phone? Since this is the day and age where most people have a phone on there person I can't say that it didn't come into contact- however, the second night I made sure to keep then apart low and behold same thing happened. I was assured I wouldn't need it resetting again after that night, but still it did. Fed up enough over this (and looking at your previous reviews this is a common trend) every night I had to get it reset. Following this drama my heater never worked and the lamp didn't work.

This hotel is centrally located which is handy for walking everywhere and the service was great! The facilities were their letdown, access cards didn't work often, door slammed themselves shut, balcony doors didn't close, room smelt stale and the sheets were so old they have mold spores stained into them. I will not be staying here again

Room was very tiny but clean and comfortable. Suitable for young couples. The high step up into the bathroom was difficult for us especially at night. We are both 60+. The water from the shower stayed on the floor during the night and as the toilet seat is almost under the shower, expect to come out with wet feet. Also the loo paper kept falling onto the floor and so it got wet too.
