I stay for business trip, location is on simpang lima area, easy access to express way, room look like old , breakfast is simple serve local food but restaurant is not so big, many guest didnt get seat when I have breakfast, for business stay, I think this hotel is not bad.
My review is only about breakfast: It's located on the 2nd floor. The first 4 tables in front of the bar is for smoking customers. So non smokers like me has to walk through this area, which usually full of cigarette smokes. And the whole breakfast area smells! This is surely not IBIS standard. The exhaust fans are there, but surely they are not strong enough. And additional note: I came for breakfast at 9:15. The place was devastated, they didn't refill the food stalls. I have to ask and wait for 15 minutes until the refill 1 stall. Some drink dispensers were empty. Again, this is below IBIS service standard.
Very limited parking area, luckly they had free valet service to solve their problem. NIce breakfast, but they need to add a egg station in dining area, because we need to ask the chef near the kitchen to serve us some fried egg
The location is very good, near simpang lima, within walking distance of shopping mal. This is not my first visit to this hotel. Usually everything is good, but not this time. Arrived in the evening to a bit chaotic situation. Turned out there was a wedding party, so the lobby area was extremely crowded, the receptionist looked tired thus her tone was not as friendly and a bit rush in service since there are also aircrews waiting to check in. There was only 2 small elevators, usually it's not a problem but since there was a wedding on the second floor, so have to wait to get my turn. Get into the room, there was no personalised welcoming message and welcome drink voucher (used to get it elsewhere as leclub silver member). I got the welcome drink later though, after asking for it at the reception desk. The biggest problem was the soundproofing in the room. Woke up several times at night due to thumping sound from the room above and chatter from the corridor outside the room. The positive things are the usual standard ibis quality : comfortable bed, clean room, good wifi.
Hotel Ibis Semarang has a strategic location, walking distance to Ciputra Mall and some of culinary spots. Room is quiet good, clean and spacious. Friendly Staff. Need to replace a better linen and towel.
A lot of changes have been made by this hotel. They started to acknowledge its platinum member guest. Parking space still a problem for this premise, but the location of this hotel, as well as the friendly of the staff are able to cover the minorities problems. Good job !!
This hotel is look old, reservation staff is friendly, location is near Simpang Lima, just 5 minutes walk to Simpang Lima or Ciputra mall. Room bigger than ibis standard room but need more cleaness inspection.All is average.
Strategic location in the centre of town. Good hotel staff services. Can meet our requirement and needs with fast. Good breakfast menus, especially have my favourite croissant. Suitable stay with family. Must renew towels. Needs more light for reading on night time.
I stayed for 1 night. The location is near ciputra mall just about 3 minutes walking, the room is clean,and very affordable price. I don't know about the food because i don't buy breakfast. Overall, i'm satisfied. Next time i will stay at this hotel again.
It was one of my short stop by during my long trip. Arrived around 1 am in the very morning, greeted nicely by the night staffs, than rested nicely in a comfort room (and spacious enough compared to other Ibis Hotels i ever stayed). Thanks a lot.
When we arrived on 2nd January 2016, everything was smooth, check in and parking just fine. After have a lunch downtown, we back to hotel for take some rest. One of the elevator broke down and we have to wait long enough to reach our room. And when we checked out on 3rd January, the elevator problem stayed the same. At 6 am in the morning, one of the receptionist called to my room and asked me to go down to sign the bill. What THE HECK? I already had my card swiped when checking in and now in the early morning someone told me to go down to sign bill? It's ridiculous and annoying. I just told the receptionist to wait until I checked out. Please trained your staff not to call the guest early in the morning unless they are being told so by the guest.
room was changed from Regular to Penthouse (Hotel Mgr said it is upgraded) BUT the Penthouse was very bad and we regret the decision to accept the room change. one of the room door is broken, no soap, the drink water is a bit dirty, dead bugs in the room, the air-con is partially broken, phone is broken, the bed sheet is yellowish. Location is very good.
Ibis Simpang Lima has a good price-quality relation. Also the view from the higher floors is great. Other than that, very similar to other Ibis-hotels in the world. Less than nice was, that the laundry service woke up the guests very loudly already after seven each morning. Knocking on the door should be done quietly at that hour.
As a frequent guest in Accor Hotels, had seen a restaurant area like that is really annoying. I was on the way to my breakfast, first thing I saw once I got out from the elevator was a bunch of people smoking. I thought I entered the wrong floor, but the area for breakfast was there behind those guys. It is really disturbing to be exposed to the smoke on the way in and out, and while waiting for the elevator. If Ibis Semarang unable to isolate those smokers, better don't have it at all. So bad for an Accor hotel.
The hotel is clean. The location is very close to Simpang Lima. The room is big enough for two people. Usually the rooms in Ibis hotels are small. Ibis Simpang Lima is the exception.Easy to find food. The employees are helpful.
I have stayed here for 10 days with my wife. Last year we also stayed here for 3 days. I like Ibis Simpang Lima in Semarang because the place is near the Malls and the Staff are friendly, kind and very helpfull. The room is clean anD complete. I advise many friends from abroad to stay in this Ibis hotel. I certainly will come back again and stay for some days with my wife.
Nice and strategic hotel location, warm hotel team and good internet connection. This is one of the best Ibis Hotel chain in Indonesia. I had stayed several times and all gave me best memorable hotel experience.
Cleaning is excellent ; Service is good. Linen not clean, some stains and smelled of smoke, this is strange. Linen also too old. Television is too small. Corridor in my floor seems no air conditioner supply.
I submitted an report during my stay on Feb 20, 2015, because The FO staff does not issue me welcome drink and Rp. 50K dinner vouchers. But the next stay, 26 Feb, 2015, the FO staff issued it immediately.
We had a good room with a view of the city. We walked to eating places which were close by and there is a mall with a super market where one can buy fruits or anything one wants. The staff at the reception desk were very helpful.
