As a loyal memeber IBIs is my first hotel of choice and this time I chose wrong, the location was a plus as it was easy access to ferries, eateries and lots of nightlife, maybe that is why it was the most expensive IBIS hotel we have stayed in too date? on entering the foyer after a long flight and an awful ride from the airport I was most disappointed when entering what they describe as a foyer and reception. on opening our room door to see that the room was very room was crammed we became even more disappointed. Next I found on checking in they took a large deposit on my card without telling me they were going to do so, then we found out that country to what was presented on the website when I booked Breakfast was no longer served and they only provided a fast food takeaway service and we could choose three items from the ist provided plus tea or coffee, this is not what I paid for and what was provided was dished up in plastic containers and wooden cutlery the total cost was far less than what i originally paid for. This is the only hotel where I had to pay for internet when I queried the with the manager she assured me that as I was an Accor member I would not have to pay, it turned out I did pay. I would next time in Sydney choose another hotel, this is my thoughts and experiences, it's your decision to use this hotel and if you do hope you made to right choice. The only thing that is on the plus side is the bed and pillows are to IBIS standard and you get a good nights sleep, but remember to close both blinds as it faces a large building that its lights blare all night.
