Found rooms cramped. Breakfast forgettable. If a cardboard tray with hard bacon and bread like leather with a hard fried egg thats cold is the standard then will not return to this place. Have stayed here previously with no problem but not again.
We stayed two nights as had a harbour cruise to attend at king street wharf. We have never stayed this side of Sydney before, but we loved it. Close enough to walk to pitt street mall and Chinatown, and a lot of restaurants on the wharf Rooms are small but only in them to sleep, we will stay here agsin
Good clean rooms, least cost option, good location, no major issues, very clean, bathroom basin too small, (sugest hotel replace these as there is room too do so.) Ideal hotel for short business 2-3 night stays, very practical, one of the cleanest hotels I have stayed in. Not suitable for longer stays
Accor Platinum Member 1st time back into Sydney in over 13 years. Chose this Ibis due to its location to the renovated King Street Wharf area due to surprising close friend at his birthday party at the Bel & Brio. Comments Check in was efficient and informative. Platinum level was recognized. Rooms are small but adequate and are clean. Bathroom lighting was the best in any hotel I can remember and I have stayed in some truly 5 star hotels before. House Keeping was good and being a room tipper the tip was acknowledged almost every day. Room, # 405, was just outside the elevators but it was not a issue relative to noise. I did not partake in the small bar/snack food corner. As one would expect a CBD hotel room was expensive but in this case location was # 1. I would return 1 st time back into Sydney in many a year. I chose this Ibis due to its location being close to the renovated King Street Wharf area due to surprising my best friend at his 70th birthday get together at the Bel & Brio. Comments Check in was efficient and
Classic Ibis quality in all areas. Would highly recommend this hotel. Only hiccup we had was that one of the rooms allocated wasn't as booked, despite ringing up after booking and then again 6 weeks later on the morning before travelling to ensure that the right rooms had been allocated. That said, the Manager at the front desk fixed this up without complaint or fuss and checked in with us in the rooms to make sure we were happy. Wished I got that sort of response at higher end hotels. Parking is directly across the road in Secure Parking and this is a bit confusing and a bit tight for 4WDs. Will be staying here again, great location at reasonable price.
Chose this hotel for its proximity to Barrangaroo. Location was excellent.staff were welcoming and rooms were clean and modern. Our room was somewhat small with not much cupboars space but it was fine for one night.
Nice clean room and the bed was comfortable. At nigh time the rom and floor foyer area were quiet. Good simple breakfast menu. Would stay there again. The check in staff were very helpful and pleasant.
The Ibis King Street Wharf hotel is ideally located for Darling Harbour in a relatively quiet section of town, convenient also for Wynyard and the CBD. The hotel is modern, with a quirky and secluded bar area that also serves the free breakfast, brought to your table. Be aware the rooms are small - just over 10 m2 - but they are still sufficient for one or two people, a suitcase, and a laptop.
We recently had the opportunity to stay at the Ibis and found it very good, the staff were helpful & friendly. The location was excellent for what we wanted to do, short walks to the CBD & Darling Harbour also close to trains & ferries. The room was clean & spacious. The only problem we had was no hot water one morning but that was rectified by the time we returned to the room in the afternoon.
Time and again I come back to this hotel. The service and quality are great. And the location is convenient for everything I have to do in Sydney. And on budget too. I enjoy coming back and the staff are always friendly and helpful.
Terrible. Room had not been vacuumed. Hair and pubic hair in bathroom and shower. Rubbish on floor around bed. Terrible. Not stay there again. Rooms next to express way. Cars trucks less than 10 metres from bed. Rooms small and showing age.
very happy with the service and how polite the team are there. the room was very tidy and the bathroom is well layed out and very clean the night was very quiet and nice and the breakfest was very nice i had a very nice stay Thank you very much
This site is close to public transport, Darling Harbour, walking distance to the Convention Centre and located near some of the best bars and restaurants on Sydney's water front. The hotel is clean and modern and very well priced. The rooms are very adequate.
Pleasant stay with excellent staff. Particularly enjoyed my evening Bar drink & the excellent service of the Front Office Manager handling both the bar & Reception at times. Smaller rooms but good facilities in a good location short walk to both the Ferries & Wynyard station via the Barangaroo exit. Rates can be a little high for great value. Felt very welcome & will return.
This hotel is in a great location to Darling Harbour and the ferry and Wynard Station . The hotel has everything you need for a couple of nights stay, but not enough cupboard space if you wanted to stay longer.
I am at a lose as to what people expect. This place was perfect in every way. Tidy and spotless. Bed comfortable. Perfect location. Double glazed windows so you do not hear the traffic. Room small but still able yo have suit cases open. We had corner room with 2 windows. Lovely. Checked in early and 11am check out was perfect. This is our new place to stay when visiting Sydney. We walked everywhere. 30 seconds to Darling Harbour wharf. Loved it.
Very friendly and basic hotel in the Accor group. Staff very accommodating and helpful. Hotel close to all facilities in the Darling Harbour precinct. Easy walking to the CBD and ferry services. This hotel does not offer full restaurant services but plenty of coffee shops and eateries located nearby.
After being upgraded before we arrived we thought it would be a great stay. Unfortunately it went downhill from there. No parking unless you want to pay $70 per night, no drop off point. Lifts were noisy all night, after one night the basin leaked water everywhere so they moved us from a level 7 king bed to a 2nd floor disabled room queen size. only one coffee mug in the room very disappointing weekend I realise IBIS is the budget side of Accor but this certainly tranished the brand.
The staff were very welcoming and accommodating, our room and hotel was very clean with a relaxing, calming atmosphere. The Ibis is situated so close to Darling Harbour, which made our stay so much easier as we attended a show and function over our stay.
Clean, tidy and our room appeared to have been recently renovated. A quiet and convenient location in the CBD. The 'breakfast-to-go' was most convenient and well catered with good range of choices, especially as it was included in the price.
