This Hotel Room was not up to ETAP standard, the toilet in the corners of the floor you could see it had not been cleaned properly, there was a layer of dust there. On toilet floor there were many water marks near the bowl as when people urinate there have missed and made floor wet and had not been cleaned in weeks. some electric bulbs needed replacing , and as you enter the sleeping rooms from reception the carpet was so worn and greasy, not nice to see had not been cleaned in weeks. This may be popular as on Motorway, but will not stay again

Great little hotel, right on the border, handy for an overnight stop or a few days looking round the area. will use it again in the future and would recommend it to anyone,so easy to find just follow the signs at the border

a good place to discover the nothern part of EIFEL en de town Aachen with the DOm this is the church of Charles the Great. Also Monschau with is a lovely place in miniature and you can visit the nature-parc Eifel with lies on the border between Germany and Belgian.

This is a small, neat hotel on the German-Belgian border, right at the E40/A3 motorway. As I frequently drive through Europe I stay there frequently. It is very convenient, there is a gas station, a restaurant and a big car park. The good location has its disadvantage as well as the hotel is quite noisy all night long - luckily by the time arrive there I am usually very tired so I do not care about the noise. And the hotel offers parfectly adequate clean, small rooms with a huge bed, with extra pillows / blankets if you need them. And sometimes you do because the radiators are not working with the same efficiency - some rooms are cold during wintertime. So this is not a luxury holiday hotel at the Caribbean, but a practical solution for travelling working men. Accordingly, it is reasonably priced. One more thing - which is not about the hotel - but being at the border the mobile phone signals (German or Belgian, just the same) are very weak, the hotel offers free WiFi though.

Great hotel if you are on a road trip. Great location just to pull in and sleep and rest up. Service has always been good and breakfast is good value. Rooms , spacious and clean and overall great value for money - will definitely use again.

A great place for the night on a long trip down through Europe. Helpful staff and clean room with a comfortable bed and good shower - what more could you ask for £38 ? I would definitely recommend to anyone.

We enjoyed our stay at the Ibis hotel which was conveniently located on the highway at the boarder of three countries, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. The staff has been very helpful and courteous.

Stay here every year to break a long drive to / from the UK. As usual, helpful & efficient (answered my special request email within a few hours) 2 adults + three children aged under 5 = 2 rooms at a very good booked-in-advance price. See you next year!

This hotel is fine to stay in if you are just stopping off for a night on your travels however if you intend to stay longer I would find somewhere quieter. It is situated between a motorway and a truck stop so does not have a

Good value for money. Some rooms smell of cigarette smoke which is very unpleasant when one is a non smoker. Breakfast was organised especially earlier for us. Room was clean and reasonably sound proof

Had a very good 3 nights stay, very handy for everywhere and the rooms perfect. The only problem I had was the toilet seat kept coming off otherwise everything was great, breakfast was good and facilities in the lobby available 24/7. Could get some noise from the trucks outsidethats unavoidable. My friend from America and myself thought the hotel offered very good value for money all round.

Very basic, but comfortable. Good value for the price. Very basic breakfast, nothing hot, only 2 cereals, but range of breads. Room was small but ok for a couple and 1 child. Child is up quite high on a bunk bed.

Easy to find and staff very friendly and helpful. Good offer of free toy/game to children. Breakfast good in terms of quality and variety. Handy to be able to buy supper in service station next door. Disappointing features: although our booking clearly stated that all beds in the rooms would be needed, we had to make up the bunk beds in both rooms - not ideal after a very long day travelling with young children. Also, one room clearly had a long-term problem with shower leaking onto carpet so room smelt unpleasantly damp. Unfortunately window could not be kept open overnight to air the room as this meant disturbed sleep due to traffic noise.

This ex-Etap now Ibis Budget hotel is fine for an overnight stop - have stayed there several times. BUT the computer said I had booked 2 rooms on the same night and charged my credit card TWICE! The hotel staff gave me a letter saying that we had only stayed in one room - still waiting for my refund!

I was disappointed with check-in staff who was not helpful and behaved superior. We were not given relevant information, we had to ask about everything e.g. password. The room faced the motorway so there was terrible noise and we did not sleep well. The room was clean.

Good points:- Clean, efficient, usual small rooms well laid out. Convenient location in a motorway service station. Bad Points - its a bit too close to the motorway, car noise all night with the window open. Food is served from the adjacent service station - and this stops at 21.00. Had to drive into the local town to eat. The location threw my Sat Nav. I drove up and down between motorway junctions a few times before I found it. All said - I would stay there again.

Very friendly service, excellent rooms and special requests were granted. We highly recommend this to anyone travelling through from germany . Staff is very friendly and speak any language. Although next to the highway still quiet to sleep.

We have stayed here overnight several times to break the journey up from Germany to catch the ferry back from Dunkirk/Calais back to the UK. The hotel is just off the motorway so very conveniently placed. The beds are comfortable, it is very clean, there is free Wi-Fi and the TV has BBC1 and BBC2. The shower in the room is very good (powerful and hot) and there is a separate toilet, there are soap dispensers in both the shower and the wash hand basin (which is in the room) but the towels provided are a little on the thin side and there is no shower mat provided to step out on to so you may wish to take your own. The service station cafe next door has improved its meal selection since we have been staying there and you can now order pizzas in your room from the cafe although we haven't eaten there so we can't comment on the food. We have, on occasions ventured a couple of miles down the road to Eyenatten and had a meal at the italian restaurant 'Bella Italia' where we have had a good lasagne. They have a breakfast that you pay extra for but again, we haven't bought it so cannot comment. All in all, a good budget hotel that we wouldn't hesitate staying at again.
