As usual (I'm a regular stayer at this hotel) the shower was the major problem. If you're lucky one visit in ten results Ina shower where you can set the temperature and it stays the same, most of the time you set the temperature and it lurches violently hit or cold as you're washing, and this can happen at any hour of day or night, not just at peak times in the morning. The staff are more inexperienced than ever (thanks to Brexit leavers I suspect) but are consistently helpful and kind. The rooms are always clean, the wifi reliable and free and if you book in good time bargains are to be had.

Yet again the standard of welcome, friendliness, ease of registration has exceeded all expectations. Well done the team at Ibis Elstree. I will certainly be returning to this hotel next time I am visiting London. The hotel is only a short walk to the railway station and your in the centre of London within 30 mins, excellent location

Usual good reception and lovely room BUT shower thermo on blink and water became unbearably hot very quickly and almost impossible to adjust. For someone less thick skinned than me this would result in scalding and possibly minor burns. GET IT FIXED - Room 214

This is an excellent place to stay so I use it fairly regularly. Rooms are clean, beds comfortable, and breakfasts good with good bacon, sausages, beans and coffee. However the powdered scrapings from the bottom of a bird cage that are offered as scrambled egg are dismal in the extreme. Why can they not offer fried eggs - other budget chains manage to.

Good things : staff are friendly , rooms clean, beds comfy. Nice size shower . Bad : can be noisy when coach parties staying. Worst thing is the television. Limited number of channels, not even all free view channels, the channels that are available half do not work , the hotel really needs to sort this out.

Simple, comfortable, clean and reasonably priced. Breakfast was good but could be improved. Not keen on the eggs bacon etc being on hot plates for over an hour. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location ideal for elstree studios only a 2 min walk

Nice clean rooms and very helpful staff. The evening meals served were excellent as was the service. Breakfast was fantast vfm. Plenty of car parking spaces for just £1. I highly recommend this hotel and will stay here again. Price of £42 for the room was very good especially for this area. Well done Accor.

Ok, so this is not a 5 star hotel. But it is great value for money , modern , clean, and comfortable, with staff second to none who cannot help enough. Thoroughly recommended for a short break, convenient and cheap ( or free if available) parking.

First of all a warning: This hotel is NOT in London, has never been in London and would have to be moved more than twelve miles if it wanted to be in London, so take care that its location suits you. I have stayed here many times and have always been completely satisfied. On arrival the receptionist will be smiling and there will be smiles and pleasant greetings offered by all the staff until the moment you depart. The hotel is clean, the room is quite small but comfortable and the ensuite bathroom pod is an unusual feature - small but with quite a large triangular shower. The towels are small and thin and a disappointment. Breakfast is a pretty standard buffet and good value. But the main reason to stay here will always be the excellent value and the very nice welcome.

Very nice hotel for 2 nights and very much liked the breakfast and the efficiency of the hotel - plus they accept pets with no issue. Slight issue with a small car park but there is an arrangement with the massive public car park at the rear.

Booked online on the 10th april to stay 22nd to 23rd of april pay on arrival... Got my confirmation at 7pm 11th April to be notice that it had booked me in for the 10th to the 11th checked my bank and i had be charged £75.... Rang the hotel to be told that they would not claim the money and would be sent back to my account in 3 days... Checked today money had been cleared and IBIS have my money. Called them to be told i have to speak to the person i spoke to i the first place... Got no hope of getting my money back. Thanks IBIS for ruining my weekend break and i havent even left yet!

I am in the hospitality trade and i am usually quite critical but this place was faultless. The staff were awesome, helpfull and polite. Rooms spotless.food excellent. And only £20 in taxi to studio tour. Will visit again.

Conveniently located for visiting London without the high price tag! Trains through the night into /out of the centre of London. Close to local bars /shops. Very convenient for m1/m25. Quick & easy check in /out and large car park (chargeable but low prices for London) right next to hotel. Rooms are a reasonable size for the price and seem to have everything you can need in a compact way! Bathroom pod make great use of space & I need the shower - ibis showers are something else, best hotel showers!

Another comfortable stay at this conveniently places hotel near to the A1 and other transport links for London and Hertfordshire generally. The bed was as always the best thing about the hotel - really comfortable. The staff are all very friendly and pleasant. Easy and reasonably priced parking. All in all a great place to stay when I am working in the North London area.

Basic but comfortable hotel at a reasonable price. Staff are welcoming. Shame you now have to pay to park your car, if you can't get in the hotel's tiny private car park. Wifi has recently been upgraded and is now excellent - possibly the best I have ever had in a hotel.

The hotel was let down by the reception staff taking along time to appear from the office and staff looking after the breakfast area. The tables were dirty and the cutlery was stained. Looking through previous comments the hotel does not appear to learn as these points are frequently mentioned. The worst Ibis experience so far.

The only real problem with is nice hotel abdcuts staff are the ridiculously unpredictable showers. You never know if they will stay at the same temperature, or violently change to very hot or very cold without warning. Occasionally one is normal. Until they sort this out it is a major and long standing problem

I stayed for 2 days for business and in the morning I left a bit late because my meeting was at lunch time (left the room at 12). When I returned back, I noticed that the room wasn't cleaned at all. I've stayed in this hotel before and I remembered it as a good hotel, so I thought they simply ... forgot and I went to the reception to tell them that. The guy in the reception, simply acknowledged that they didn't clean the room and he said: "there is nothing we can do now". The following morning, I complained about that during checkout and I was told that because I left the DND: "do not disturb" sign outside of the room while I was in, the cleaners didn't want to interrupt me. I told the receptionist that I do understand that but what I don't understand is why they didn't cleaned the room after I left. So she simply replied that "the cleaners left and nobody could clean your room". I explained that I'm a platinum member of Acor and I stay many days a year in hotels and having my room not cleaned was a unique experience. I also told her that Ibis hotels have a 15 min guarantee policy that applies "to any service which is included within the cost of your room" and cleaning is included but she replied that it is only when things break. So, not only this hotel failed to provide me with the service I've paid, they also lied about their policy and also tried to put the blame to me for having the do not disturb sign while I was inside the room

The window in the room was open and the room was freezing. The Heat Pump unit in the room the filters were blocked therefor restricting the airflow. It took over 5 hours to try and get the room slightly warm.

Couldn't have chosen a more convenient place to stay. It was just 5 mins walk from the studio. Check in was efficient and all the staff were very helpful and friendly and knowledgeable about the local area.
