Easy to find, easy to park at, quiet (at least when we stayed there.) The room was functional, standard, no frills, obviously no character, of a reasonable size, though one couldn't swing many cats in it. There was a cabin style bathroom of reasonable proportions. There were not enough towels so we helped ourselves to a couple more from a trolley in the stair well. The bed was a queen-size, with good, firm bedding. We slept very well. No noise in the corridors. There was only one chair in the room; an extra one would have been welcome. Breakfast was fairly good, varied, and cheaper than other places. Our stay for two nights amounted to 155 euros, with breakfast. This rate was with the (free) Accor hotels card, which also means breakfast is cheaper. It's a no-brainer, as it is free and gives a reduction. Very good staff at reception, friendly, competent and unobtrusive. The hotel is very well situated just across the Pont de Pierre from Bordeaux city centre. It takes under ten minutes to walk across from the hotel. We walked everywhere, as Bordeaux is not that big a city, but without doubt one of France's most beautiful and well worth a stay. A pity it was freezing.
