The hotel & room were clean and tidy & helpful staff. Just one issue, small car park! Given the number of rooms, it was a case of first come first serve or park for that matter. Had to make separate arrangements in a NCP car park.

Hotel was very tidy and clean and staff were very pleasant upon arrival and departure. Room was what we were expecting from a budget hotel, very small with the single bed over the top of the double bed. Unlimited tea and coffee was very welcome but was in reception and not in rooms. Disappointed that price of room can differ so much, we paid £130 for a Saturday night yet same room is about £35 during the week!! Also a £4 charge to park in the hotel car park after paying £130 is a bit much!! Happy enough with hotel and room though, just not the price situation.

Excellent nighty rate per room, very basic room but is good enough for one or a couple nights stay. Very basic accommodation, but did the job. I generally use this hotel for one night stays, as it's great for somewhere to crash, but I don't spend a lot of time there.

The staff were friendly and is convenient for the centre of town. The hotel was clean and quiet. There were plenty of croissants, meat and cheese available for breakfast. The bed was more comfortable than some much more expensive hotels but the pillows were a bit tired.

Hotel is clean and comfortable, reasonably priced. It has a car park on site, which is meant to be £4 a night, but they gave it for free. It is close to city centre , only a short walk to the shops and the rugby.

Paid over the odds for the room but as it was rugby weekend we expected that. Arrived just before 12pm and were allowed to check in straight away, which was a godsend after 4 hours driving. Room was clean, basic and just what we needed. Easy walk to the city (didn't need taxis- hurray!!) and we were allowed to keep our car in the car park the following day while we popped to the shops for a browse. Quiet hotel at night which was a surprise considering it was a rugby weekend. Staff were excellent and very helpful. Lady on the Sunday waived the car park charges as we'd paid a lot for the room- a small gesture but very much appreciated. Would recommend hotel based on location and staff for a budget weekend away.

Unlike in other Ibis budgets I have stayed in, there was no soap/shampoo provided, either by the washbasin or in the shower. In addition, there was no hairdryer provided and there was not an electric socket anywhere near to the mirror so that one could dry one's hair comfortably.

I was at the Motorpoint Arena for a conference this hotel was convenient clean and comfortable with good value parking at the Novotel next door it was quiet at night too just the job I didn’t bother with breakfast I walked up to the town I’d definitely stay again 👍

Having stayed 2 weeks previously and complained about 1 lift being out of order and the other in use by the cleaners, I was emailed by the hotel before my stay to assure me the problem had now been solved ! Sorry but the exact problem was encountered, 10 minute wait for lift to go to breakfast and a furthur 10 minute wait to get from room to check out. Why lie to customers if problems have not been solved ?

Very bad organisation. Had a day added to the beginning of my stay over the phone and staff didn't put it on the system. Door key kept deactivating after the first day, and we were told to move out of the room the day before the end of our stay because the staff made a mistake on the system a couple of times and never bothered fixing it. We were forced to explain everything a couple of times. Never got told about free coffee/ tea services (website states that the charge is applied). Didn't feel welcome at all. Also cleaning staff must have dropped my shampoo and squeezed half of it out because when we came back to the room it was sitting neatly on the shelve but HALF OF IT WAS GONE!

Not sure where they get budget from...booked room for a stag night. £120/night for a hospital-esque room complete with plastic sheet is not good value for money. Half it, it's not justifiable. Then charged £4 to park!

Bear in mind that this is a budget hotel, so you will not get more than you pay for. Thanks to the receptionist for allowing me to check in and pick up my room key at midday, as soon as I arrived in Cardiff. My room on the 4th floor was quiet and very clean, had a reasonable view from the window and (apart from shampoo) supplied all my essential needs. Although it was well laid out, two people would have found the room too small and the narrowness of the toilet might have given a larger person claustrophobia. No extra blankets or pillows were available, and no kettle, so, in order to get a hot drink, although I had bought teabags and coffee in my luggage, I'd have had to take the lift down to the lobby to help myself to the complimentary tea or coffee provided there. I didn't bother, especially as only one lift was working during the four days of my stay. I was glad to discover that I could open the window for fresh air and that the mattress was very comfortable. The shower took a very long time to produce hot water in the mornings; I think the plumbing system may need tweaking. My only real complaint is that the digital clock display on the wall mounted TV screen was so bright and blue that on my first night it kept me awake for several hours in the middle of the night. I didn't solve this problem until I had covered the clock with a piece of card which I stuck to the screen. If you are planning to stay at this hotel I recommend you pack a roll of sellotape and do the same.

Good welcome from the Reception staff. Room clean and comfortable but definitely budget. Shower clean as was separate WC. Bed was comfortable and I had a good sleep. Breakfast was a help yourself continental with a good choice with a range of hot drinks and also fruit juices. Parking cost £4.00.

I liked the complimentary welsh cakes that the receptionist handed me when I checked in. The hotel was clean and comfortable. It did take a bit of getting used to having to go downstairs to make a morning coffee as there are no tea and coffee making facilities in the room. There was no toiletries in the bathroom either but then again I guess that is why it is a budget hotel.

Stayed for 3 nights (MOn-Thurs) very clean and modern hotel - seems quite new - staff very helpful and friendly - stayed with my Daughter and had a very pleasant stay - I think all rooms are a double with single bunkbed not a problem for us but if I had been travelling with a friend would have been difficult to share the room - twin beds would have been better (was requested prior to stay) - short walk to town where there are lots of shops restaurants and pubs. Hotel provides a very good continental breakfast - choice of juices tea coffee water toast pastries and croissants cheese cold meats cereals and fruit

Stayed here on Saturday, I had treated my partner to a night away for just the two of us. The hotel had awful parking, we got the last parking space and had to pay for the privilege, if we moved the car we risked loosing the space and paying again. Once inside the hotel which incidentally cost £124.00 for one night!!! The room was the smallest double room I have ever seen, and overlooked the dingy car park. The toilet roll was like tracing paper, the room was not welcoming at all and the bed was hard as nails! The toilet was only as big as the toilet! My partners knees touched the door. The sink was in the bedroom and the shower stepped into the room.... I have seen better bedsits!! On the evening when we returned there was Irish bikers drinking alchohol in the foyer. We went in and out a couple of times to the car and they were still allowed to be noisy and drinking at 3am! The bikers were at the table by the guests coffee machine and made it really uncomfortable to even get a coffee. The staff did nothing and thought it was acceptable. I know this was supposed to be a budget hotel but for £124.00 for one night I accepted something better than a hostel for the homeless!!! Shame on you for treating your customers like this. I do NOT recommend and I will never stay there again.

Definitely a most stay hotel, the bed is comfortable and the room has more than enough space to make you feel good. Our only suggestion to this hotel is to give a bigger soap bar as the one that we were provided was too small and we were only able to use it on our first day and the breakfast needs to have more options. Although the breakfast we were given was good we would like to have more options, since we ate the same for two days.

Very helpful friendly staff great location can use the gym & spa facilities of their sister hotel next door at a discounted rate free beverage ( tea coffee) . You pay for the room not the amount of people staying some rooms can sleep 3

The hotel is around a 10-15 minute walk to the train station and city centre, the staff are friendly and the rooms are clean and tidy, although compact. There is free tea and coffee in the reception area. Not suitable for older people as there are no shops, bars or restaurants close to the hotel. Also the cost of drinks, food, and confectionary is expensive, exploiting the fact that there are no shops close by.

In line with the Ibis budget category, this is a simple but confortable hotel. The staff was very helpfull and friendly. The only issue is that it seems to be some problem with the sound insulation of the rooms. One of the nights we woke up with noises of people talking on the corridor and doors slaming. This happened just one night.
