1) reception staff while check in was absolutely unprofessional 2) they did not complete my necessary request about booking the very quite room, gave me the room with the door between 2 rooms. that is why 1night I even had no possibility to sleep because of neighbour noice whole night 2) Saturday at breakfast at 9:35 was very dirty at all tables- 1 waiter was not enough to clean all tables
If you want to meet rude staff that does not want to help you, horrible Wi-Fi quality, etc. then you should stay at this hotel. Looks like this hotel is not interested in any customer satisfaction at all.
the hotel is a in a great location if you are traveling by train and have a backpack. only about 5 minutes from the Moscow train station alone one avenue. the staff was welcoming and the hotel was well run. I had a misunderstanding about the hotel policies but the manager resolved the issue immediately.
Unbelieved. The Air Condition was not work. The maneger Said me: Open the Window! The location is excelente, but I not return to this hotel. I prepaid for a confort that not had. It's a shame to the ACCOR.
Excellent choice. Near the city center, three metro stations and the railway station. Despite the fact that the building is over a decade old, it is well maintained and the hotel provides all the modern necessary amenities. Very helpful stuff and there is also a concierge, that can arrange transfers, excursions, theater tickets, etc.
Do not expect anything new in this hotel. Rooms are standard, beds are standard and even breakfasts are standard. Nothing special. Cleanliness is also average. Location is quite good but not excellent.
No elevator, none from staff help you with suitcases. The breakfast is almost invisible that is not acceptable for this hotel. Maybe its quality depends on the period> if they have mor eguests also the breakfast is more reach.,
I was very disappointed by the quality of Internet at this hotel. Internet connection disappeared regularly and I practically could not work. The good thing about this hotel is its location: it is just in few minutes from Moskovsky Railway Terminal and Nevsky Prospekt.
The Positives:- - Reception staff member Ksenia who was most helpful when dealing with an emergency for one of our small 3 person group . She really went above and beyond the call of duty. -Location to train station for Moscow - View from room over Saint Petersburg - Good clean functional modern rooms with daily room service - Very comfortable firm bed - Fridge in room - A "late" check out at 1330 hrs was offered which suited our travel needs. The Negatives :- - Not reflective of Ibis brand - Reception staff not welcoming nor particularly helpful and we had to press / prompt them for any information when checking in. Our initial reaction after coming from another Ibis hotel elsewhere in Russia was that the reception staff needed to be sent back for re-training. - The staff generally appeared to be jaded from mass tourism and were not accommodating of their guests - Crowded with tour groups - Location on Ligovski Prospect which had numerous "undesirable" looking people. - No complimentary drinking water in room - Air-con not cool - Bathroom sink not draining - Hotel looked rough around the edges - No safe in room - TV not widescreen and with limited channels - No water for 4 hours due to maintenance - this was well advertised by signs before the event - Whilst check-in is stated at 1400 hrs - after arriving at 1130 hrs being made to wait for a room at to 1330hrs is not normal at Ibis hotels. Staff did not seem to care too much - Breakfast at a cost of 540 Rubles was filling but problematic . Crowded dining room with difficulty at getting a table, slow cleaning of tables, no bacon, eggs very sad - if they were available at all - often none, coffee machines required constant servicing during peak times ( demand exceeding supply ) - Long walk to the attractions of the Hermitage etc but buses nearby In summary, this hotel served our needs for comfortable safe accommodation for our 4 nights visiting Saint Petersburg but has room for improvement.
Hotel is located in the street with permanent traffic jams, pretty far from the St Pete's historic center. Service is a disaster. Check in is process is very slow even when passed electronic check in and just need to get your room key.
Clean and simple. Good locaion. There is no need to take a taxi from train station - 10 mins by foot. Maybe we had a bad luck but had no chance to try local breakfast - at 9-30 am it already was a mess in a restarant - no stuff and dirty tables.
Comparing with some other Ibis hotels, a glass of wine is not included into the welcoming complimentary drink choice, why?) The same is regarding the discount in the restaurant for the frequent guests - accor card holders (starting level Silver). All the rest is OK.
Nice staff friendly and speak good English, convenient location, close to main train station, just a block near the Galleria, big department store, a block to bus stop ( to take bus no 3 along Nevsky to major attractions places. clean room, strong wifi, many plugs amenities as standard ibis, no hot kettle, no coffee excellent variety of breakfast : bread, fish, many kinds of sausages, rice porridge, fruits costs 560 pp taxi from hotel to airport cost 1100 rub fix price.
All standard services was OK. The room was very clean. Could you please add cable TV (some cinema channels) and also please add capability for micro-usb charger in the room, or please provide such usb charger for rent.
This hotel is clearly above average Ibis hotels as it delivers outstanding service, good restaurant and bar and is located right in the city center of St. Petersburg. Especially the service desk for tickets and taxi services and the hotelbar with barkeeper Evgeny and Anatol (Sorry if spelled not correct) were extremely good. Special wished adressed to reception where treated satisfactionary in time. Breakfast and dinner in Hotel restaurant are very good too. We will stay here again. The only point for improvement would be the WiFi signal.
The staff are extremely helpful and try to make your stay comfortable and correct. I always think that every room should have tea/coffee facilities which this does not. this could be a good improvement. I had a couple of small issues in the restaurant but overall the location and comfort makes this a good option when in St. Petersburg.
PROS: Good location - two metro stations are close to the hotel. There was the roomy shower cabin and incredible silence in the room in spite of the nearest railway hub. CONS: Acceptable quality of the breakfast. It doesn't included in the room price. To my mind, it is slightly expensive. Insufficient power of air conditioner. Mosquitoes in the room. RESULT: Good hotel for reasonable price but it could be more attractive.
Good hotel in the city center. Rooms are not too large but it's enough for 2 persons. Not really reasonable price for parking places - 600 rubles - too expensive. But you can easy find a place near the hotel. Barman is a nice guy. And awful IBIS shower gel. I think you need to change one :)
I usually stay at Accor hotels, but this particular hotel left me with mixed feelings. Finding the hotel wasn't easy at first as there are no signs out side (façade under renovation). The adjacent buildings seem old and not very well maintained. The room was ok. Check in was ok, but don't expect great service. People at reception never smile. You don't really feel welcome. On day one ordered 3 different things from the menu only to be told they were not available. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable. The concierge was very helpful. Days two and three were better. Buffet breakfast was very good. I bought a meal offer online, but it was just for lunch: soup and salad. No main dish. Metro station is not far (Ploshad Vastanya). There's a mall nearby. Nevsky Prospekt is also close. We walked 40 min from the city center to the hotel. A very enjoyable walk. Might not come back, but I can't really say it's a bad place to stay. Just don't expect much.
After staying at the ibis in Moscow Bakrushina, I was expecting a more updated building and attentive staff. To begin, at check in there was 1 staff and 1 apprentice. I waited while they helped a business man. Then a couple walked up to the counter, effectivelycutting us in line. Another staff member showed up and helped them first. At this point I walked up to the counter as well. Then a group of 3 guys came up and again cut us in line by walking up to the counter. When the business man was done The 1 staff/1apprentice proceeded to help the 3 guys despite them seeing us when we arrived. At this point I said, "Hey we were here first". We had been waiting over 12 min already (I timed it on my phone). By the time we were done checking in, it had been over 20 min, far surpassing their 15 min guarantee. (Done in 15 min or the room is on us, which hilariously kept scrolling thru on the monitor behind the counter) They never offered to give us the room. So clearly, that guarantee is a farce. On the good side, the staff was nice and asked us if we had a preference for where we wanted our room. Staff spoke decent English and was polite enough once we finally got service. We stayed 9 nights. We ran out of their shampoo/soap in both bottles (one in the shower, one at the sink) 6 nights in and the housekeeper didn't notice despite us placing the empty bottle on the sink. So I called and asked for 2 replacements. They brought one. After the 1st night we used the 2 plastic cups that come with the room. They never replaced the cups, for 9 nights. We had to ask the bar for cups. The room itself is typical Ibis layout. Our shower leaked. The glass shower did not have a good seal at the bottom so we had to watch how we showered in order to not step out of the shower into a pond. The location is good, walkable to Savior on Spilled Blood 30-40 min, 7-10 min walk to the metros. Very close to the Gallery Shopping Center which has really good food options for days when we were lazy about where to go. Wifi was open, no password needed. It could be very slow at times. We did book a taxi with the person on site, it was 1600 roubles to the airport. Perhaps a little high but we did request for 3 AM pick up. The car was a black Mercedes, the driver was nice and efficient, good experience. Overall I think this place was unnecessarily stingy in basic provisions. Service could have clearly been better.
