Close to airport but no direct and convenient footpath to walk to and from sydney airport. Shuttle bus available but expensive (7dollar p/p). Expensive to park vehicle( 25 dollar/ day). Average food selection. Slow checking out process. Not really a budget price.

We stayed one night prior to a flight. The room was clean and just what you'd expect and more for a budget hotel. The evening meal available didn't appeal to myself, though my wife would have taken it. We went to KFC a short walk away. We had a quiet restful nights sleep and express check out in the morning.

Staff were very responsive to my check in needs after a long flight. Very comfortable pillow top bed and comfortable room was perfect for the rest and sleep l needed to recover. Good breakfast at a very reasonable price.

Regularly stay at Budget Ibis Airport, always clean and convenient to both International and domestic terminals, perfect for plane travelers. Short walk from domestic terminal or parking available at reasonable fee, dinner and breakfast at hotel or restaurant's a short walk.

When staying at a budget hotel, one doesn't have high expectations of services and amenities. One thing that is always a requirement whether staying at a 1-star hotel or a 5-star hotel is a hospital front desk staff; one that is friendly and cares for their guests. Unfortunately, the staff at the Ibis Budget Hotel Sydney Airport couldn't give two cares for their guests and this was experienced throughout the stay, not just at a single encounter. Upon checkin, I was handed off from the first staff person to a second staff person half way through the process, which then had to be started over. They claimed to not accept the Accor Loyalty Program due to being a budget property, which is fine if that's their policy, but the fact that the front desk lady acted like she had never heard of it and insinuated that I had made it up was frustrating. I asked how far the rental car return was for Avis Rent-A-Car; she told me that she had never heard of Avis and had no idea. This was another example of her asking a colleague, or looking it up on her computer since she should have been more knowledgeable about the area than a traveler. She did neither; turns out it was 0.5 km, which I figured out, but after some unneeded frustration. Lastly, at checkout my wife asked to mail a postcard. The front desk attendant said that they don't have outbound mail. She asked where she could mail the postcard and he indicated that he wasn't sure. At every encounter, the staff was rude. Not what I look for when choosing where to stay.

Seamless and prompt check after a late night domestic flight with everything we needed in the room. Continental breakfast was included in our price and was enjoyed in the bright and cheerful dining room. All staff were friendly and polite.

Having never stayed at another kind of Ibis hotel, I can't compare the budget version with any other, but I can say that this hotel was a real ripoff. It was relatively expensive, especially when you take into account that you pay for EVERYTHING, even a ride to the airport, which is right next door. The room is so small that the entire bathroom serves as the shower. In the whole room, there is one plug, a real necessity in our wired times, unless you move out the small refrigerator and use that one. While the staff was pleasant enough, they didn't have much to work with. We'd asked for an extra towel - they give you two and a bathmat but no washcloths - and ended up with no bathmat, no extra towels and found a used towel and used soap on the floor in our room. There was food of a sort, but you had to pay for a full meal even if you just wanted something small. I realize this is a quick place to stay just before a flight, but does it have to be so awful?

This is a very convenient and inexpensive place to say when travelling as very close to the airport. Service was good and staff friendly. Rooms are basic but clean. The buffet dinner was good plus the food was hot. Breakfast was also good.

Dust was obvious everywhere. Toilet is not clean. Fridge has only small milk!! I did not use my free breakfast which was paid for because of opening hours ! The whole experience is very unpleasant and will never try them at all

We stayed at Sydney budget ibis hotel on the 16th june. We accidentally left a very priceless teddy bear behind. We tried to contact by phone several times with no success. I sent an email with no reply. Eventually my father got through to speak to someone ultimately stating nothing was handed in by the cleaning staff. This is atrocious as it is hotel policy to hand in lost or left behind property. I still have not heard any reply. This is disgusting service and the staff obviously do not do there job as per policy and procedures. I will never stay at another ibis hotel until this issue is rectified. Terrible outcome and unprofessional staff.

I was pleasantly surprised with my stay here, being so close to the airport ( about a 5 - 7 min walk ) I was sure it was going to be loud due to the planes but I was only having a short stay so thought I would just deal, however getting inside the hotel and room itself you couldn't hear anything ! Going to sleep was actually pretty easy, it was quite and could not here anything from inside or out and the beds were very comfortable.. The rooms itself is very basic and some people may say a little small but your really only there to get ready and go out and sleep so no complaints from me... It has your pretty standard bathroom ( shower, toilet, sink ) the only downfall for the bathroom itself is that the shower doesn't have a enclosing on the floor so water does go around the the sink and toilet but never went outside the room itself so that was fine ( I just put a towel on the floor outside the door of the bathroom to wipe the feet on the way out to not tread water all over the place ) It has a television in the room and a mini fridge however no microwave which is thought was a little strange, although the hotel does serve dinner meals, although i didn't go myself so cant say if the food was any good. It also has a breakfast available at $14:95 for all you can eat, although I must say it was not great, It basically just served toast, fruit, yoghurt and some cheese and crackers.. There is krispy Kreme, mcdonalds and KFC right next door to hotel and eachother that do breakfast but obviously not ideal for some as its fast food, but there is coffee club neat mascot station which is a 10 min walk.. As for public transport I bought myself a Opal Card to get around Sydney... The closest train station is Domestic Airport Station however I would suggest walking to Mascot Station which again is about 10 mins away from this hotel... I say this station only because the fare itself is cheaper then going from the airport station... From Mascot Station, Circular Quay is 10 - 12 mins, 20 mins from Central Station and 30 mins from Olympic Park and trains are always on time and very reliable... Overall I would stay again when I return to Sydney for Holidays !

This is our 2nd stay here before flying out for early morning flights. The hotel is basic. It's clean and tidy and for $129 it is worth it to us not to have to worry about getting to the airport on time.

Easy walk from the domestic airport. Transport availability at the hotel is good. Downside, lots of construction but upside, couldn't hear it in my room which was in the front of the hotel could not hear the jets either.

Good comfortable accomodation. Ideally located close to international and (even closer) to domestic. The complimentary continental breakfast is just what we needed before early morning flight. Shuttle transfer service is punctual, clean and relaxed. A great way to ensure you get to your plane well rested and with no stress.

On the positive side, this hotel is very convenient for airport travelers and is quite clean. On the negative side, the rooms are tiny and there are fees for things that are often free in other hotels.

Clean tidy rooms. It had everything we needed for the night. A good motel so close to the airport we walked to it but for $7 each we could catch the shuttle in the morning. Comfortable bed. Modern decor.
