It was a week end journey for me and my family. We were very satisfied with this hotel, for price, conditions and location. All staff responded promptly our requirements. We will return in a Ibis hotel, for sure.
In the last month i have stayed few times in Ibis Gara de Nord and Ibis Palatul Parlamentului, both Bukarest. The rooms and Hotel is very similar. Unfortunate NOT the Service and the Feeling of welcome. In Gara de Nord everything was already prepared when i checked in. The keys for the room, a Little map of Bukarest and the vouchers for the Welcome Drink (for Accor Hotel Club Members). In Palatul Parlamentului nothing was prepared. Besides of that, i had to ask the staff for the Welcome Drink vouchers and i didnt have the Feeling of being welcomed (not really friendly receptionist). Few month ago, i already had that experiance there and i thought it was just an exeption, but unfortunately it wasnt. In the future i will choose other Hotels in Bukarest.
The hotel is good and in a good position, very near the parliament house and within 15 minutes walk from the city center. Rooms are quite good. However, there were a few issues I didn't expect: we weren't allowed to pay with credit card for the restaurant (we had to use the ATM in the lobby to get cash). We had to pay for the parking. There weren't any additional pillows in the reception. The payment we did in advance wasn't resulting from their records and I had to urge the staff to check better otherwise I would have had to pay again.
Very nice and helpful staff. Very much recommended! I asked to keep room that i specially love for members of my family and the staff keep their word! Really good 😊 For sure i will come back again! !
Last December my flight was changed so I needed to add another night to my previously-booked 3 nights. The Accor website wouldn't let me so I had to book another night separately. I asked for confirmation that the 4 nights would be 'joined together'. No reply was received. A week before my trip I emailed the hotel asking for confirmation that my 4 nights were being treated as 1; the manager replied to say that they were. On arrival (4th May) the girl checking me in said the same - no problem. The next day I received a call in the afternoon asking me when I was checking out as I'd only booked for one night!!!! No apology for the inefficiency and I had to attend reception for my new room key!!! As a result I had no towels as they had been removed and my room wasn't cleaned. Throughout my 4 days there the room was never actually cleaned as the same bits remained on the floor throughout. The bar ran out of beers every night - especially draught - so it was 'pot luck' on what was available. The only bright spot service-wise was on Sunday night, the man on reception duty was very helpful in getting my flight boarding pass printed out for which I was very grateful.
neglected rooms and whole hotel. It is not IBIS standard at all. Dirty rooms and corridors. Staff was polite. Location is very good - in the heart of Bucharest. I will not go in this hotel, until it will be renovated.
Good service, excellent location, very nice price. Check in fast and efficient. Check out easy. All informations required, was Ok. Near from Parlamentului. Near to the center of city. When i back to Bucharest, probably I will use this Hotel again.
First off anyone visiting Bucharest should be fully aware that you will be ripped off by the taxis. Even legitimate (even though it's hard to tell) will vastly overcharge as soon as they know you are a visitor. Booking the taxis from the airport is easy - get a ticket from the machine - this contains the registration number and ID of the taxi BUT DO NOT GIVE THE DRIVER THIS TICKET! If you do they will charge what they like. Bucharest itself is a mix of truly beautiful buildings interspersed with hideous eastern bloc concrete and walking around is very safe with no problems. Food in the restaurants is of good quality and cheap.
Terrible service from the reception staff. We had booked a twin room. Without any notice they gave us a double. When we asked to change the room they reply that no other room is available. I asked to talk to the manager but they reply that he was away from city. When i reply that I don't care and I will call the tourist police they found a twin room in seconds. 100% non professional behaviour!
hello, i have one question i have three rooms reserved on my name and the invoice made by the hotel show this fact also the payment and paid for one night , way i receive points as i stay in only one room , for me it looks not correct this, i wait an answer regrading this problem
The overall services were ok, I am really disappointed instead about the fact that I had to wait 4 hours in the lobby to get a room (and I am a member of le club accor hotel), just because the hotel was not able to manage properly the check outs. :(
Wery bat organisation on the breakfast room . It's a For like to small personal for so many people are specially when are groups in hotel and than singel person must wait for clean table. short stay it's OK.
Excellent location, in the city centre. Very good service at the reception (24/24). Safe parking, and at a good price (if you stay longer, you receive a discount). The room has no closet, just some shelves that could be better arranged. Advanatge - you can open the window for a breath of fresh air, when the air conditioner makes you sneeze! The breakfast - a little bit disappointing (they are not prepared for a lot of people in the same time). However, everything can be improved, with a little effort.
Nice hotel, good location and comfortable rooms. Price is correct for the services that the hotel provides to the customers. It is very well integrated in the Accor Hotels Group and fidelity program. It was a good choice for staying in Bucharest,
The rooms are spacious, beautiful and clean, and so is the bathroom, which was bigger than i expected. The location is great, close to the Palace of Parliament and to a metro and bus station, while the area is still quiet. The bed might not be that comfortable if more than one people sleep on it, since the matress is just placed on top of a plain wooden piece of furniture and it has a tendency to slide, but if you are travelling solo, you will get a good night sleep. The staff do their best to be nice.
I think that it is below the average of Ibis hotels. Needs renovation (carpet and bathroom). Hotel area is boring but you can feel safe. Besides Palatul Parlamentului and a park there is not something else interesting close to the hotel. Its not far from old town (15-20 min on foot) but it is a boring trip..... Wi-fi it is very good and also is a really friendly hotel to people with special needs.
As I would expect for a typical Ibus hotel. Well and truly satisfied. Only let done was that sometimes, there were periods there were no staff, day and night, so it was the case to shout out for some service. Apart from that, everything else is typically Ibis.
On arrival there where no clear indications as to how access the hotel carpark. the security guard finally came out to help. we came from our Ibis stay in Sibiu and this time, reception was more matter of fact, when i stated that i had a car in the parking, there was acknowledgment or reaction. I also was asked to pay upfront on this stay. r`com was Ok except that, there is no safe in the room and the mattress was on a wooden plank edged on a bed box that was clearly too small. As for the previous ibis, better pillows need to be considered. Upon leaving we could not get out of the carpark because there was no indication that this was paying parking. We were late for the airport and when i had to go back to reception to get my carpark token validated, i was asked to pay 43 Lei without getting a receipt. Why is there no information on the hotel website that this is paying parking service and not free parking as it was in Ibis Sibiu.
This is my third or fourth stay in this Hotel and as usual can't complain about anything. Staff, rooms are as always very good but best is of course location, it's next to the Parliament :) Of course made another tour in the Parliament, second biggest building in the world after the Pentagon, which I can only suggest everybody who visits Bucharest.
The room was very spacious and clean but the internet connection was a disaster, not stable at all, got disconnected all the time. The location was ok, behind the parliament but to reach the real city center you have to walk 20 minutes ot take the bus.
