Was adequate for me as it was locacted close by to my appointment and it's basic and clean. However, the breakfast is a massive let down - no hot food apart from toast. Don't book this place for the breakfast - save your £5.50 and spend it elswhere !!

The staff at the hotel were helpful and the check-in and out was quick and efficient. Th location was not so great. I wanted to walk into the center to get something to eat and you have to cross the main rain via an series of underpasses.

I stayed for one night at the ibis budget hotel in Birmingham. The hotel is a short walk from the city centre and easy to find. Good points - good location, the room was clean, warm, not expensive and good value for money, lovely hot water in the shower and great water pressure too. Bad points - fairly basic compared to Premier Inn and Travelodge, no kettle or tea and coffee which I thought was standard, the room and shower were small but I guess you get what you pay for. I would stay again but if the Premier Inn was around the same price then I would go for the Premier Inn next time.

I only paid £33 for the night, so wasn't expecting a lot. What I got was a decent, clean, relatively comfortable room only 10-15 minutes walk from New Street station. The rooms are compact, the tv small but if all you need is a bed for the night then there is nothing to complain about. Shower was deceptively spacious. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was nothing special, probably wouldn't go for that again if I stayed another time.

I stayed for one night on business and was very happy. Within easy walking distance of the city centre with the plus of paid parking or free on street parking overnight. Quiet room, clean and warm. I won't be celebrating a 25th wedding here but it was great for a short business stay.

As the price was so low we did think we would receive basic service, however we were welcomed so well and nothing was too much trouble. We were a group of three and on arrival desk were happy to fetch us bucket of ice and glasses to take to our room so we could relax with some drinks whilst getting ready for a night out. would 100% stay here again as is probably the best value in Bham for good location

Hotel is basic but clean, as with all Ibis Budget Hotels. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Always remember to ask for a hairdryer (before you wash your hair) as they are not automatically provided in the rooms. Parking is limited however a very cheap, £3 all day car park is available on Bromsgrove Street , with easy access back to the hotel via the underpass.

Requested a quiet room at short notice due to work and the staff were fantastic finding me a room facing away from the main road. The hotel is cheap and used mainly by young people going out for the night but if you request a quieter room the staff will do their best.

Hotel and staff were great, what let the trip down was the Continental Breakfast The idea of a hearty continental breakfast at 9.00am on Sunday morning was limited. No cups for the tea and coffee machine No baguettes as identified on the hotel web site. Selection of deli meats was Ham or chicken slices Choice of fruit was apples only. The overall selection was disappointing

I use hotels regularly and with my work arrangements this meant I needed a three night stay to enable me to timetable early start/late finish programme. The Hotel suited the location and as I was really only laying my head for a few hours each night the price was important to me. This Hotel is a no fuss get what you pay for accommodation, friendly meet and greet and simple but warm and pleasant room. Parking although limited was available at an extra charge. Although I didn't partake there was breakfast and other facilites available. Good value for money and would use again.

I have stayed here before as it is near to the city centre and with a car park. Modern, nice and clean, easy 24 hour access, with a good value continental breakfast. I think good value for money. I shall use it next time I come to Birmingham.

Easy check in and check out, rooms just how they are shown on the website, friendly staff, very close to the town centre so can do lots of things during the stay... maybe could have some info on things to do around the city..

EBudget taken to rhe extreme. Even £15 B&B's offer shampoo and the ability to make a cuppa. Shockingly basic. In fact I would describe it as downright mean. I've stayed on campsites that felt more luxurious!

I paid £32.50 for a bedroom with a double bed and a single bunk bed. It had all the necesseties in there, a toilet, shower, TV, desk with a chair and fresh towels. I wouldn't expect any more than that when paying that amount of money to stay in the city center. The welcoming service was quick as i had checked in online the night before, my key was basically waiting for me when i got there. The lady behind the counter was quite blunt (end of a long shift?) but not rude! Access to our room on the 3rd floor was quick and easy via their lift, and when we got into the room everything was clean and tidy, nothing broken. TV remote etc was all their which can be quite uncommon in budget hotels. The mattress of course isn't the comfiest but easily enough for me to get a good night sleep on. The air conditioning actually worked!!!! I get really hot at night so it really helped me to stay cool and relaxed. The room itself was relatively small, but enough room to move your bags around. Shower was fine and easy to use, plenty hot enough. Checking out in the morning was easy to, and was met by three lovely members of staff who all greeted me with a smile and wished me a safe journey which was lovely. Simply handed my room key in and left. The overall experience was fantastic and the room and service was beyond what i expected from a budget hotel. In truthfulness i could have stayed at a hotel that was more expensive and closer to the place i was visiting, but decided to book here as i have visited before and always find this hotel such a simple and pleasing experience. No hassle, just turn up, sleep shower etc, then leave. Great job guys!

clean, central, cheap, good value breakfast if you want it. We only stayed one night to go to a concert Good value for money, easy booking in, Friendly staff. Could have done with 2 pillows but then I didn't ask if that was a possibility.

Far much better than other small hotels round. Good choice for short night stay. I went for s short business trip and have no regrets for chosen such hotel. Breakfast was good as well. Rooms are very clean. Do not expect any scene.

A very comfortable bed, a nice powerful shower, and overall, most satisfactory for the price. I was a little wary about another Ibis Budget place (had a not too pleasant experience at a different location a few years back), but absolutely no complaints this time. Will certainly stay again.

Lift - only one has pretty much ever worked all the times I've stayed - takes forever to get in and out, often have to wait for several lifts as full. Heat - winter, so only heats, but room boiling so window open is only option but road noise Noise - road and unusually corridor noise. Also smelt heavily of pot (again unusual)

This was a rushed trip and on a budget - all was good, although the door locks could be better -10 swipes before it lets you in gets a little annoying. As for location - the area looks worse than it is, and so arriving at night is a little concerning, but once you work out where you are, it is perfect.

It really is the hotel from hell! Checked in had to pay for parking! Mind you the hotel wasn't exactly cheap considering the hotel was disgusting inside. Paint peeling off the walls and had dirt marks all over them. The lift wasn't even working properly mind you only one out of the 2 was 'working'. Get inside the lift and all we heard was loud clanking sounds to even which the member of staff who came in with us also said 'ooh that doesn't sound healthy!' as it made a huge bang but didn't move for a while!. Corridors had this nasty stench, got to our room and saw there is no proper bathroom. The toilet door didn't close nor did the room window. So asked for another room which we got just next door. Better window and bathroom door but the walls were filthy, a big blob of sellotape on the ceiling and the smell of the sheets was so musty. The tap on the sink also had the temperature markings switched over. It's so noisy too there is no point trying to sleep early either. Waste of money and I paid way more than I should have for this disgrace of a hotel. The room looked like a childs room then I was told they all have the same deco anyway! Plus the bed was so hard. Ridiculous! I paid £75 for my room plus £7 for parking and I honestly feel like I need my money back. Wouldn't even pay £1 towards it! My advice.... Spend that however much elsewhere you'd be much happier and have a better night's sleep! Only good thing... The staff were very friendly
