Hotel very central, staff lovely. But I don't like the modern furniture in the rooms. Not as much storage space as the old style rooms. The shape of the bedside table means, things you put on there, full off at night. Don't like the step up into the bathroom either. They seem to forgotten, to have a place for the hair dryer. Just left on a shelf! Also the pass keys pads on the some of the doors are falling apart! Not sure about the pillows, one is not enough, two is too much.
Very clean well decorated comfotsble room. In a good location an easy walk to the old town and restaurants. Welcoming staff, good breakfast. Good sized bed. Nothing to criticise at all. Ideal as a stop-off.
Bathroom door did not shut, toilet constantly running, air conditioning did not work and dirt and hair on the bathroom floor when we arrived. We have stayed here on many previous occasions and this time were most disappointed.
Good reception, fine room - clean, quite spacious - good for 1 or 2nights. Very good shower room. Breakfast - so so. Parking easy. Short stroll to town. Easy hotel to find, by car. Receptionists very helpful. Gorgeous town.
The headin says IBIS Styles but we actually stayed at the IBIS Centre, which this review is about. The Accor 'complex' in Troyes (IBIS, IBIS Styles and Mercure) is excellently situated just a five minute walk from the bustling centre of Troyes. Excellent underground car park if you need it (bit expensive at Euros10 but worth using if your car's loaded). Rooms are exactly what you expect from IBIS and we've used the hotel numerous times as we travel from York to the French Alps, breaking the journey here in one direction or another. The fact that we've stayed here a lot must be a recommendation (and we're a bit fussy)
This hotel, very near the centre of Troyes, provided us with just what we wanted for a one night stay to see the beautiful city, with its very many medieval buildings. It was slightly difficult to find, but worth the effort. Parking in the secure underground car park was easy and efficient. Air conditioning was effective and the hotel was clean, quiet and comfortable, with easy access to all the sights including the cathedral and the many eating places in the pedestrianised area.
Great stopover hotel. Was a bit disappointed with room this time and also very disappointed to learn that Ibis no longer participate in the Accor A Club program midweek meaning I didn't get points on the way there or back! This needs to be made clearer on the Accor booking system!
Everything about this hotel is very good, expect they do not have a full evening meal menu. They have a snack menu, but this is no good if you can't eat wheat or cream. Although there are lots of places to eat nearby, we were unable to do this on this occasion as we had a long drive and were very tied and did not want to leave the room. All the other Ibis we have stayed in have a full evening menu which is very good, with lots of choice.
Centrally located and very pleasant with secure underground parking, The staff are very helpful and the bar area clean and welcoming. All rooms are non smoking. Highly recommend as a value for money overnight stop.
