We have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions and found it to be excellent value for a city centre hotel. The location is fantastic and so central to everything. The rooms are good and clean and The staff are always so helpful.
Good stay. Breakfast every morning was great. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bed did move around a bit, maybe take the wheels off next time. Room cleaned every day and early in the day as well which was great.
The hotel is very well located. The room are well equiped. The room and the bathroom seem to ne clean. But the cleaning person spent only a short time in each room. There were a small thing on our carpet on arrival. And it remained 3 days until our leave. We are given a room with a very small window. The room is in the dark all day, ideal for sleeping, but not for stay. It's nice to have a jaccuzzi in the hotel. But it's too high chlorized, not sure it's cleaned often.
Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Room was tidy and clean. The hotel is centrally located in the CBD. Access via tram was very convenient and it was walking distance to most major tourist hot spots. Our large room was great for the family. Breakfast each morning was outstanding
Parking is quite costly via the Hotel. Room was just normal. I was actually not satisfied with the receptionist who prepare my check in. She told me my room was good and has a good view. I believe in her but I was very disappointed when I open the door. Firstly my room was located so deep inside the building that I have to open 2 doors and walk through the alley but I can get to my room, secondly, when I open the window, it is facing other rooms. I wonder in what way is the view good?
It was a very pleasant stay. The location of the hotel was superb. 3-5 mins walk, you will be at the Flinder Street station. Chinatown, is within 5 mins walk. Trams and trains are all very close. The staff were excellent..Told me lots of useful information. The general condition of my room was just OK. It is an old building and you can see that it's a bit dated.. however, they are trying to maintain it to a pretty good standard. The bathroom was renovated recently I think. The size of the room is huge and very spacious. There were wear and tears, and marks on the furniture and the wall, but that's normal. Generally, I was happy.
This hotel is about as close to the action as you can get. Easy walk to Little Burke St - Little China - where all the colourful lights are and Chinese restaurants, very close to all other diners, across the river from the waterfront, and smack bang in the CBD for late night action if you so desire. The hotel staff are very professional, never have long to wait when booking in or checking out. Foxtel, internet, sauna, gym, pool, spa, bar, parking .. what more do you want. To top it all, all this at a very reasonable price. I recommend this place, that's why I keep coming back.
We enjoyed a great weekend at Ibis Styles Melbourne, The Victoria Hotel. We enjoyed being close to restaurants and cafes and were so close to a concert we attended at The Athenaeum Theatre. Vic's Bar provided life and ambience to the hotel and the overall standard of accommodation was superb for a lesser publicised hotel.
The hotel has been around for many years and recently updated. It is situated in an ideal position, close to theatres and shops. Accommodation is comfortable and good value for money. Parking is available. Buffet breakfast was OK, could have been a bit fresher but may depend on the time you arrive. Overall it was a pleasant stay and would returnagain
You can see a few years ago this hotel had a bit more style. It seems a little tired now but it really covers the basics well. Great customer service, great cleanliness in the room, and an indoor pool that was a good temperature and a well seat out gym. Buffet breakfast with lots of options but avoid the coffee machine. It might just be me but I’d prefer an old drop filter machine over modern buttons to making lattes with powdered milk.
Staying at the Ibis Styles Melbourne was great for my business trip, it was located within the CBD which made it easy to get to my meetings on time also l must mention the Staff are fantastic and made sure all my need were met.
Very Good location and the price was great. The staff were nice and approachable. The place was near to restaurants, cafe, shops and other business establishments at the city of Melbourne. The room was safe. Need a little bit check on the water pressure of the shower. The toilet over all performance was clean and nice,
Bit mixed, because I was only booked for 2 nights, for a couple of days in the city, before an early morning flight to Arrowtown, NZ! BUT because of my daughter's baby unsettlement, I added 3 days ( early) to leave Beck Adam & wee Lachie ( 8 months) a bit more space in a 2 bedroom townhouse.... so all could get some sleep! BUT because I had pre-paid from NZ for the LAST 2 NIGHTS, I got a heavy priced to NOT switch rooms for 3 nights, then go to my original booking! WHY could I not just extend without a new booking?? And have to pay up to not move rooms?? And as and extra, of course, was the FIRE ALARM, that kept on going, with no staff update for 3 hours, from 5.30am in the morning in Pants & Jacket! Many in Pajama's! with no shoes etc..... Yes I got moved as my room 5103, was partially flooded! etc... etc....
The hotel is nice and centrally located in the CBD. Nice and efficient check-in and out as well as a well presented entrance. The rooms are spacious enough and well equipped and beds comfortable. The only issue that I found was that the hallway traffic could be heard easily. Other than that it is a great spot to stay for the price.
I've stayed here many times and I've thoroughly enjoyed my stay each time. They were kind of us to let us check in early after our long train trip which was kind. Only issue was that the doona cover and cushion was a little stained in places.
We always stay here as it is so central, the rooms are spacious, clean & have Wifi. I highly recommend it as it is affordable & we had breakfast included. We were offered by the desk to call taxis or transport to the airport.
Room was clean and tidy. Bed was comfy. Room got quite hot during the night. Pool and spa had a lot of grime on the tiles at water level and the spa had a strong chemical smell. Breakfast buffet was standard but basic.
The hotel is a historic hotel with Melbourne and is within walking distance of CBS. The rooms are of good quality and has usual hotel facilities. There is an in-house restaurant that provided breakfast and if you choose evening meals
Loved staying at this hotel. On arrival our room was ready & we had been upgraded. The staff were very warm & friendly & we got a drink card & internet access upon check-in. The room was very spacious & beds very comfortable.
Location of this hotel is excellent. We were greeted by friendly check in staff who were happy to help with requests. Easy walk to everywhere and free tram in city centre. Breakfast was good with a variety of options. We will definitely stay here again.
