Very Good location and the price was great. The staff were nice and approachable. The place was near to restaurants, cafe, shops and other business establishments at the city of Melbourne. The room was safe. Need a little bit check on the water pressure of the shower. The toilet over all performance was clean and nice,
Bit mixed, because I was only booked for 2 nights, for a couple of days in the city, before an early morning flight to Arrowtown, NZ! BUT because of my daughter's baby unsettlement, I added 3 days ( early) to leave Beck Adam & wee Lachie ( 8 months) a bit more space in a 2 bedroom townhouse.... so all could get some sleep! BUT because I had pre-paid from NZ for the LAST 2 NIGHTS, I got a heavy priced to NOT switch rooms for 3 nights, then go to my original booking! WHY could I not just extend without a new booking?? And have to pay up to not move rooms?? And as and extra, of course, was the FIRE ALARM, that kept on going, with no staff update for 3 hours, from 5.30am in the morning in Pants & Jacket! Many in Pajama's! with no shoes etc..... Yes I got moved as my room 5103, was partially flooded! etc... etc....
The hotel is nice and centrally located in the CBD. Nice and efficient check-in and out as well as a well presented entrance. The rooms are spacious enough and well equipped and beds comfortable. The only issue that I found was that the hallway traffic could be heard easily. Other than that it is a great spot to stay for the price.
I've stayed here many times and I've thoroughly enjoyed my stay each time. They were kind of us to let us check in early after our long train trip which was kind. Only issue was that the doona cover and cushion was a little stained in places.
We always stay here as it is so central, the rooms are spacious, clean & have Wifi. I highly recommend it as it is affordable & we had breakfast included. We were offered by the desk to call taxis or transport to the airport.
Room was clean and tidy. Bed was comfy. Room got quite hot during the night. Pool and spa had a lot of grime on the tiles at water level and the spa had a strong chemical smell. Breakfast buffet was standard but basic.
The hotel is a historic hotel with Melbourne and is within walking distance of CBS. The rooms are of good quality and has usual hotel facilities. There is an in-house restaurant that provided breakfast and if you choose evening meals
Loved staying at this hotel. On arrival our room was ready & we had been upgraded. The staff were very warm & friendly & we got a drink card & internet access upon check-in. The room was very spacious & beds very comfortable.
Location of this hotel is excellent. We were greeted by friendly check in staff who were happy to help with requests. Easy walk to everywhere and free tram in city centre. Breakfast was good with a variety of options. We will definitely stay here again.
Comfortable, stylish and quiet...such a convenient location..close to free trams in the hub of the city..very helpful and obliging staff...small indoor pool, spa and sauna a bonus,...breakfast an absolute winner...Will definitely stay again...thanks Ibis Victoria!
Really suited our family event and central to great shopping and strolls. Nice and clean. Great bathrooms and breakfast was great. Friendly staff. what more could we want? Zoe on the desk was awesome and very helpful and friendly car parking attendants. The only negative is the carpet is a little overly tired.
Clean rooms nice bathroom great location service was good very helpful employees. My only one thing to complain about is you can hear doors slamming in the corridor this made it difficult to get a good nights sleep and was rather annoying. other than that the accommodation was very good in a fantastic location. I would stay again as this was a footy weekend with my son so perfect spot.
My partner and I stayed for 2 nights on a long weekend. The room was clean and tidy. As mentioned by others, location is awesome. The only thing I would like to mention is that as it is not a budget hotel ( we paid $334 for 2 nights ) I reckon they could offer a bit more. Things such as a free bottle of water per customer in the room don't hurt and are appreciated by customers. You also have to pay to keep your bags in the hotel after check out - lockers are not expensive, like $6 for few hours (can't remember exactly how much) but service is not free.
We had stayed at The Vic numerous times over the years however most recently decided to experience other hotels and areas close to the CBD. This time we decided to return to the Vic again and we loved every moment of it. We flew in from Perth on the "Red-Eye" flight and arrived at the Vic at 07:30hrs. We had requested an early check-in and we were helped to a beautiful room immediately. This was fantastic as my wife and I could have a short nap and freshen up. The staff is so great at the Vic and the refurbished rooms are very comfortable. Needless to say that the location of the Vic with accessibility to shops, trams and train station is superb.
Great stay at well located hotel in the centre of Melbourne. Large room with plenty of space for 4 people. Smooth check in and check out with friendly staff. Would definitely recommend this hotel for families and couples.
I've stayed at this hotel several times mainly for business. The rooms whilst not super modern are well proportioned, clean and spacious. The location of the hotel is very central to Melbourne's CBD and good value for money.
The location of the hotel is fantastic and the rooms are very clean, however a little bit of attention to detail would clean the overall hotel up a lot. Eg, bannisters in lifts and locks on room doors.
We have stayed at the Victoria Hotel numerous times now and love the location. The rooms are perfectly adequate - we don't go to spend a lot of time in our room!! Love the ease of Walking down the stairs to Vic's bar, it is and will continue to be our first choice when staying in Melbourne.
It is what it is. Great location in the heart of Melbourne where you can get a good quality room (spotlessly clean, modern bathroom and a comfy bed) with a decent breakfast. It is not fancy, but it does all the essentials very well. I enjoy the sense of history, as it is a Melbourne icon.
Clean, well appointed lovely hotel. In the heart of the CBD with a pool and gym, restaurant and bar. Room was a little warm but the window did open. Close to shopping and theater district. Will definately stay here again.
