We decided to spend 1 night in Montparnasse area before flying back to Asia where we live. We booked online and paid 165 EUR for 1 night, without breakfast. When we arrived, a note in the elevator informed us that due to maintenance works for the hot water network of the hotel, there will be no water in the rooms between 10:00 and 18:00 ! After a 3-hour train trip and before a 20-hour flight this is a bit hard to accept. While I can understand that the maintenance was not really expected one week before, I would have expected at least an e-mail the day before and some compensation on the rate or a proposal of relocation or anything the day itself, but nothing. My wife is pregnant and we have an Accor member card, but it did not help to get more consideration however. We are not looking forward to coming back there despite the good location. It is a pity.

Guests can not choose the comfort temperature. According to information obtained in the hotel concierge, when the fall arrives the cooling system is turned off and the heating system is turned on.Even with external temperatures between 12 and 24 degrees, the system is turned on which brings a lot of heat to the environment. I requested that the heating system not be turned on in my room or that the cooling system was turned on, but my requests were denied.I asked for an ice pack. The receptionist said that the colleague who would arrive later would give me, but the ice was not delivered. I spent bad nights because of the heat.Also, cleaning the room was pretty bad as there were bits of cigarette on the window counter. Then, as I tried to escape the heat by opening the window, I could smell the cigarette.I arrived at the hotel with a cough that got worse due to dust from the work and the cigarette smell.I hoped that a French hotel chain would keep the best IBIS in the heart of Paris, next to the Montparnase tower. I was disappointed with the quality of the hotel, I think this IBIS is a shame to the accord and I advise that hotel management should to learn from the England (IBIS Black Fries), Portugal (IBIS Porto) and even Brazil (IBIS Praça da Liberdade) how to manage a hotel. It is a shame.

A hotel close to Montparnasse railway and metro stations and overlooked by Tour de Montparnasse. Room was comfortable but rather small. Bathroom was adequate. Breakfast had to be taken in the room as the breakfast room was being refurbished. In compensation the cost of breakfast was discounted. Staff were friendly.

Room smeels like it has not been used for months. Talked to the front desk but the answer was: There is nothing I can do like a typical french. I don't advise it. The only benefit of it was that it was close to the Gare Montpanasse.

The Ibis Hotel near Gare Montparnasse was exactly where we needed it to be. We had a train leaving the day after our arrival in Paris and the proximity to Montparnasse train station was very convenient . In addition the comfort of our room provided us with a good night's sleep after a long day of travel from Michigan to Charles DeGaule airport in Paris. We would stay here again.

This hotel is located just a couple of minutes from Paris Montparnasse railway station on foot and there are lots of restaurants and cinemas as well as theatres nearby which makes it a very good location in Paris. The room was slightly bigger than what we are used to in Ibis hotels and that was a good surprise as we had a lot of luggage. The room was very clean and the bed comfy but the air conditioning was not very effective even if you tried to set the temperature on the minimum. Also the sound proofing could be a little bit better: I heard noises from other rooms early in the morning. The sounds from the street were well attenuated and even though we were directly on the street we were disturbed by only a few very loud motorbikes. We found out that there was a small balcony as well and that was nice to use it to read for a while when waiting for the time of our train.

Hotel place is very good, near GARE MONTPARNASSE and all general centers, clean-calm- stuffs are plein hospitality. On the other hand it is quite expensive. During my stay for my business trip, I did not get any problem.

Hotel in a very good location, near Metro 4 & 6, room was a triple one, not to big but good enough for 3 adults. breakfast was O.K but need some more attention for refreshing the food, if you come late some food is missing.

IBIS at Montparnas is situated perfectly for exploring Paris. Four Metro.lines and a lot of buses take you all interesting sites i Paris. Price perfomance rate is very good and the hotel has now reached modern state (rooms and WiFi)..

Not the most luxurious Ibis ever, but absolutely fine. You know what you're going to get, and you get it. The breakfast room is a bit pokey, but they had my favourite apple purée and framge frais. I like the newish comfortable beds.

We arrived to our hotel for our 3 night stay at the hotel. The room we were initially given had a bathtub in it that I can quite honestly say I did not even want to put my foot in - it was stained and moldy around the bath and tiles and then our Air conditioner didn't work. We were then moved to a room that was facing the main street which would have been ideal had our Air conditioner been working. So we either had to die of heat in our room with the windows closed or open the windows and listen to non stop noise which was definitely not the way we saw our relaxing Paris get away. We were eventually given a fan to use but again we had to have the window open as it was just circulating the same hot air. We were told the aircon is only switched on in June? Which is completely unacceptable that as a guest we do not have the option to make our own decision seeing as though we are still paying for the room at the same rate and for all of the same facilities. It was never communicated to us prior to booking or once booking had been made that the air con would not be working. The breakfast selection is also extremely poor. Its fine if it is just continental but maybe a few varietals of ham and cheese would at least be worth the price you pay for breakfast. There was the exact same ham and cheese everyday - very unexciting. The reason we were so disappointed with our stay is also because we stayed at your Blackfriars branch in London a month or 2 ago and we had such an amazing stay, breakfast was incredible, the room was immaculate and the staff couldnt do enough to make sure we were comfortable. We told all of our friends and family that they must always try stay at an Ibis, but no we are going to have to tell them to maybe look elsewhere.

We had two major issues with the facility. First, the door would not lock so there was no security. Second, the air conditioning / fan didn't work. When we brought this up to the employees we were treated very rude and disrespectfully. We sent a email complaint to the company but never received a response.

The room was basic, but clean and very functional for the short time that I was there. Close to everything that you need to be, great many restaurants etc and the staff were happy to help with arranging taxis, advising of nearest banks etc.

The room was very small to be told in the morning "that room was for one person "but no offer of a refund for paying for two. The air-conditioning /heating did not work All in all it was appalling never ever again IBIS Cost 190.00euro inc breakfast mmmmm

Hotel was all we expected.... clean and well maintained. Staff were helpful and projected a very positive attitude making our stay very pleasant. Breakfast was well done and also a good value for the money. We will be back on our next trip to Paris.

No complicaiton, no fuss, everything kept simple. The hotel is located near Montparnasse, within xalking distance of most of the interesting left bank locations. The reception desk was friendly, and let us choose our room - the hotel was obvioulsy not fully booked.

Terrific newly euro-styled hotel. A well designed small boutique like hotel, one of several in the Paris area. Staff were warm, helpful and patient with our limited French speaking abilities. Rooms are large enough, beds comfortable and bath just large enough for the two of us. Close to Metro stops and a whole host of restaurants. Would stay here again as its relatively central and close to some of the major sites.

In a good location (although hidden around the corner). clean, pleasant with friendly staff. The rooms felt small and in the style of student accommodation. I would recommend the hotel for convenience but nothing more.
