Hotel well located, in prime neighborhood, close to the historical center, to parks and monuments, with several restaurants nearby, accessible by public transport. The staff are friendly and gracious, clean and pleasant, very good service.
The hotel is half a block from Praça da Liberdade, where the public library and several museums are located. There are also restaurants and movie theatres in the area. The friendly staff provides good service.
The hotel is very charming and nicely located close to Praça da Liberdade, where good museums and very interesting architecture can be found. The hotel is very comfortable, clean and silent. Breakfast is also very good. I would surely come back for another stay.
Very well located! Nice in every single aspect. Staff there were friendly and helpful. Easy way to the mall and to the Liberty square! The bedroom was beautiful, clean and nicely equipped! I'll for sure be back one day.
Terrible! with 220 volts, we need to take adaptations and to prie the energy stay good. The bed isn't good. You can't sleep very well and they had a constructions behind the appartement. Its a good place but they need ameliorate the service quality.
When we arrive at the hotel (me, my wife and my 9 months old baby) we felt that the air conditioning was not working. I asked the manager about it and he told that it will be fixed. They did not fixed it. It was a terrible night for us, I had to take 4 showers during the night and my baby was swetting so much that we became worried about dehidratation. I will not stay there anymore and I don't reccomend this hotel.
Very good location, on a nice neighborhood close to downtown Belo Horizonte. Nice entrance hall in a charming old house right in front of the main building. Service on par with the best Ibis standards. Bathrooms are OK but need renovation. Very good parking area, secure and covered -- the only problem was the elevators (lift) partial access to the garage's 2nd floor, (due to an inoperative panel on the floor itself).
It's been my second time at this hotel. Nice property, very clean, good neighborhood, attentive staff, good breakfast, very good wi-fi. Tasty and reasonable priced hot meals offered in the evenings. Late cheque-out very convenient. Staff arranged a taxi to the airport with a discount - partnership Ibis / taxi-drivers.
This hotel is located in a large avenue very close to the central Praça da Liberdade. It has parking and a basic coffee shop. The rooms are typical of Ibis in Brazil, but they are perfectly fine for two people and you cannot beat the price of this hotel. I stayed in a room on the side/back and it was very quiet with a nice view to an old Church.
Good things: location, politeness from employees Worst things: be careful with the bills (they charge you more then it is expected), wrong information (there are rooms with two beds and they informed you that aren't), system or personnel failure (you lost time to make a web check in. They will repeat all the process again at the front desk), management problems (the employee of the bar was doing a check in and the employee of the check in was at the bar. Of course problems have happened like wrong information of the prices and so) and failure to honored your Le Club status (no special area for check in and so). Always you complain you got a smile and polite answer, what is ver nice but is it enough?
Hotel is very good, clean, very well located. Service though is bad. Check in takes forever, we asked for the 3rd bed to be open and it took almost one hour and 3 phone calls to front desk so someone show up on our room, food takes a lot to be ready and costs a lot too in my opinion. Everything needed from front desk takes a lot.
Ibis Praça da Liberdade is a very nice hotel near one of the most beautiful squares in Belo Horizonte. It's near four museums, a cultural center (CCBB) with wonderful exhibitions during all year. It's also well placed to use public transportation. The staff are very attentive, especially Carolina, Wesley and Paula.
The hotel is a great location in BH. Close to restaurantes, cinemas and malls. The food is really good and rooms very comfortable and clean. There is a parking lot, but the price is not included. This was my third time at the hotel and I would stay there again if I neeed to go to BH again.
Good location near Praça da Liberdade. Cinema, restaurants and Savassi near too. Ibis is a simple style, reasonable cost, but I had a quite and clean room. When I was checking out the electrical energy was cut so I had to go from 06 floor to the reception by the stairs. I can't understand why they do not have a generator in the hotel.
Soon after entering the room to open the bathroom he was flooded and musty. After 15 minutes climbed a maid who mopped the bathroom floor and dexiou new towel. Caused me strangeness they had no hand towels in the bathroom and that there was only duvet on the bed without sheet between the duvet and my corpo.Perguntei the receptionist Mr. Nara and she told me that this was standard Ibis and that if he wanted could ask for over a body towel. On the way out we kindly ask the reception to call a taxi, because we had time to catch Trasnporte to far from the airport, and Mr. Jason called, saying it would take five minutes. It took thirteen minutes and ended up using taxis my application, which came in 1 minute. I had expected the taxi called by the hotel reception would have lost my transportation and possibly the flight. Concludes that the Hotel Ibis Liberdade has serious staff problems with the staff of the night reception and management. I'm excluding it from my lodging options in Belo Horizonte, only because I had prepaid, which will not in any hotel.
Near entertaining museums, nice atmosphere, very good breakfast, taxi at the door. You should know that Belo Horizonte is a city with many steep slopes, don´t be fooled by the short distances you see on the map!
I would like to thank all the hotel staff for my pleasant stay at Ibis( Ibis Liberdade em Belo Horizonte ). I would also like to specially thank all the reception staff members that I spoke to, including the hotel barmaid.
Standard Ibis room! Great location, very close to Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil, Belas Artes movie theatre, restaurants and bars. It is less than one block from Praca da Liberdade - a beautiful square with imperial palm trees. You can walk from the Conexao Aeroporto stop on Alvares Cabal Avenue (it costs BRL 23.70). If it starts to rain, you can buy an umbrella from the newsstand on the other side of the street.
Pros: clean, comfortable, friendly staff (a few spoke English), great breakfast. close to Liberdade Square & historical buildings, hotel tap water is safe to drink Cons: breakfast was an extra cost, very noisy elevator which chimed loudly ateach floor, 220V electricity (bring a Brazilian adapter & voltage converter)
An beautiful old building is the entrance to a nice and clean Ibis. Rooms with fridge besides the tipical layout. Good free wifi at the lobby and the room. Just some steps from the Freedom Square full of museums and historical buildings. Nice restaurants and bars nearby.
