I'm not sure any feedback helps as Accor ends its management contract in APR2018. A tired hotel with rooms that have not been upgraded in decades as it does not own the hotel. Togolese ownership has its own drama. Just as any part of the city, it is drab. The lawns are immaculate and i wish the rooms were. Breakfast is OK and there's a lovely pool. The rooms facing the sea have a balcony which is great for smokers.
Location was excellent. Had my morning walk on the road looking at the beach.. and was at the Boarder Post to Ghana. Lots of truck whereon queue to cross over to Ghana. Did some shopping, Ghanaian Textile
Convenient Hotel at affordable Price. More focus on cleanliness (especially reception area. And do some thing about pesticide smell in the corridors The quality of break fast is not up to IBIS Standards, elsewhere. Please improve.
I've been to Togo for 12 times. And Ibis Lome is becoming my second home in Togo. Really nice people serving. Environment is clean, too. Dry clean is really prompt. The only reason I gave a 4 star is because of the newly enforced security check by the entrance really pissed me off. They asked us to take out all the luggages and open them by the street on the floor.... no dignity for us at all. I understand the tense situation now, but I hope there can be at least a table to put the luggage for security check, not on the street road. Other than that, I am really pleased with this newly-renovated hotel.
The hotel is in need of updating, inside and out. Which is currently ongoing. The rooms are completely out of date and need urgent attention. Breakfast is a disaster, the cheese was even mouldy on one morning
Every thing was nice But I could not able to utilise my Accord card points here. My accord card points may be expired , but when I discuss with at reception they did not considered that points. Else The property is good. But
I enjoyed my stay, though it was short. I had the sea view and it was refreshing to wake up each morning to the view of the sea. Friendly and helpful staff. I however wish there was a fridge in the room.
The service in the reception was extremely slow with lack of important information. The receptionist (Liebe?) answered several phone calls in the same time, while her two colleagues did not assist her at all. No information was given, after 20 minutes she gave me the key (while in the phone), pointed at the elevator and said it`s on the 4th floor. I took my suit case in the tiny elevator and went to my room. It was a city view room next to the parking lot. The room was big, but full of large (useless) furnitures. In the bathroom I found many hair on the floor, so disgusting. After complaining they cleaned it again. Still dirty, but I decided to wear shoes in the bathroom the rest of my stay. The outdoor grill restaurant next to the pool had ok food (didn`t have any soups even though it was on the menu), but it was so many flies and insects that it was impossible to enjoy the food. After 5 minutes I had 1 fly in my glass of cola and 15 on my small piece of bread. I left the restaurant still hungry. Everything on the menu was expensive. The breakfast was not included, but because it was a buffet I decided to paid 6000. Bad choice. I would not even eat it if it was for free. Just a few options and very hard to find available seats. People with lap tops used the breakfast area to have free access to internet, so there were not enough tables to the ones who actually wanted to eat. I only liked the pain au chocolate. One day a local friend came to pick me up at the hotel for an excursion. It ended up with a big fight with the taxi drivers of the hotel who claimed he was a taxi driver "stealing" customers from the hotel. They were really rude. It was hard to sleep at night due to noise from the parking lot. It was the wind hitting some loose part of a roof and it made a really load sound. I felt sorry for the guest staying in the lower floors. Free internet in the room, but extremely slow compared to the other hotels I stayed in. Sometimes there were no signals at all. The internet was free in the lobby as well, but no connections by the pool or in the bbq restaurant. The pool was ok, but very noise because of children playing and screaming. It is possible for anybody to use the pool as long as they pay. One day there was a swimming class there, it made it impossible to relax. 10 kids running around all over the place. Positive things: There was an ATM in the reception area, the check out and check in time is at noon.
