I stayed here for 4 nights in the middle of June. The hotel is great, clean and in a pretty decent location - although it is not actually in Mala Strana, it is actually in Smichov which wasn't an issue for me as I know the city well and transport is excellant. The staff were all friendly and efficient. The only reason the hotel dropped a star was that on our last morning the housekeepers started vacuuming outside our room at 8am which woke us up, and then entered our room without knocking at about 9am while we were still in bed. They also entered our room without knocking once during the week as well, but it was in the late morning and we were not in bed. Overall, very enjoyable stay but the housekeepers need to leave vacuuming til later and knock before entering a room!
Very enjoyable stay at Ibis Mala Strana, very quick check in, clean comfy quiet rooms, friendly staff throughout the stay, short walk to Metro station, lots of bars and shops nearby, would stay here again without doubt.
Quality hotel. Great location. Clean. Plenty of facilities. Staff were friendly. Food and drink available all the time. Lifts were quick. Easy to get in and out. Would DEFINETELY use this hotel again when in Prague.
I stay at this hotel repeatedly because it's meets my expectations and needs during my business trips in Prague. Clean room with comfortable bed, parking lot for my car, reasonable breakfast range and good price/value rate. I have only one critical note regarding meal I've ordered for dinner - beef goulash was not good because of tough meat and very dry dumplings.
The hotel is located rather centrally, with easy access to the center of Prague - there are many trams and buses passing nearby all day and most of the night too. This is also why you need ear plugs, as enjoying the nice comfortable beds can be difficult without them. A large shopping mall (Andel) is very close (less than 300m), and whilst it offers a large variety of dining options my favourite was the vegan restaurant right across the street from the hotel. Breakfast at the hotel is average, and please double check what they mean when they advertise that breakfast is served from 04:00 AM to noon - in my experience it was served only between 06:30 and 10:00 AM. But there are some food vending machines in the hallway... All in all a budget-friendly option, with minor inconveniences that can be overlooked.
very good stay at this hotel;it is a long walking distance from the Old Town but i enjoyed the big Smichov shopping mall and the nice area all around; breakfast buffet was a delight and the people at the front desk very efficient for key room and booking a limousine to the airport the next day
Tremendous location near shopping center and tube station. Very kind and attentive staff. Good variety of food for breakfast. Hotels and rooms are tidy, well cleaned by cleaning service. There is no problem with parking place in the underground parking. All my needs have been met by the staff.
I enjoyed my stay at Ibis Praha. The hotel can by easily reached by bus then Metro from the Airport. The Metro station is located just near to the hotel and the hotel itself is located near to the city center (on foot). I appreciated the warm welcome and availability of all staff members starting from the service desk. The room was really quiet and confortable. This is the hotel where I intend to stay the next time I go to Prague.
my boyfriend and I stayed there for 8 days (inc Christmas day and Boxing day). The room was very nice and cozy and so was the bathroom, also everything was very clean. Breakfast was very nice too, lots of different food to chose from. Dinner served by Ibis Kitchen was delicious as well, especially the Christmas Eve special menu. All staff was very friendly and spoke good English. If one day I'll visit Prague again will stay in that hotel for sure!
One of the poorest of the chain that I've recently stayed in. From the minute from checking in, to departure - this hotel didn't meet my expectations. When I checked in I showed my club card, but there was no welcome of any sort, let alone the welcome drink! The heat in the hotel was extreme, and when I asked for a fan, there wasn't one. My colleagues and my rooms were across from the Tesco - and the noise from 5am was very loud (windows open so it was possible to sleep). Internet was also slow, and when asked, we were told that the hotel was fully booked! Towels were not changed, glasses not cleaned also added to the list! I had booked three rooms for a total of 11 nights between them, and with our company booking another 5 rooms for 18 nights - this was a combination of 8 rooms and 29 nights, this was not value for money! Our head office is based in Prague, and we will not be using your hotel again. With regards to being a Le Accor member, well this has brought the standard of this way down!
We knew that this hotel is not suitable for families with children so we had no problem being split into two rooms. Hotel is OK. Kids loved presence of two Pokestops reachable from the hotel room. What could you want more? :-)
I came late at night. A bit hard to find the hotel from Andel Metro because there was no guidance on the hotel site "How to get here". Good room with a bit hard bed. Good pillows. No bottled water. A bit noisy with some street sounds. The window sounded like it was open even if it was closed. Good breakfast. A bit strange to not have bacon the the scrabled eggs, but the eggs were good. In all a good stay at a place close to both the city and to the airport (bus 100 + Metro B via Zlicin). Good price. I will be back.
Very well located for my needs and interior was exceptionally clean and tidy. the staff were very helpful and as I have an Ibis card it is very worthwhile to have as it also it was value for money. It was convenient for travelling by tram and walking to the railway station
Rooms are clean and have adequate space. Hotel location is good and close to Charles bridge. There are good restaurants and cafes. Metro station is near and easily access to old town. Hotel staff have done their jobs very successfully. Breakfast is very good. We recommend this hotel.
We had very good experience with hotel location. It was easy to reach by car. There was free parking on site (not that obvious in Prague). And hotel is located in easy walking distance from all major attractions in Prague. If you are rather not for walking - there is well developed tramway network (we prefered this over underground, because of city views), and tickets are pretty cheap.
This May I needed something intellectualy stimulating. I took the calendar and picked the date, then made the booking. The place to stay was clear a choice, my experience at Ibis Mala Strana was always great. Except for that, the hotel's location is perfect to travel to any corner of the town - public transport is reliable and at a very reasonable price. My stay had 3 stages: arty-party, ice-hockey-recovery and the Carl-4th's-Crown. The hotel was a steady support to rely on, for all phases, with 24x7 reception service, comfortable bed and check-out till 12 noon. If You are not into hotel breakfast, 5 minutes walking distance are places to get what you crave - a great local tradition I recommend to try are the canapes. In local delicacies stores called 'Lahůdky' they come in great varietiy. Well, next time in autumn, c.u. Prague.
This is a very good Hotel, excellant staff and friendly, very clean.Close to shops and cafes, eating out is very cheap, minutes away,Please note also the hotel food and drink is very good and at the right price. There are plenty of areas to visit ,transport cheap,3 day pass is recommend from the metro station.(Trams,Metro,buses.etc)
There was a group of a excursion where the teenagers were drinking alcohol and speaking out loud night through in the corridor at the 4th floor. Reception didn't do anything about. Also rooms are too small, for the price we can get the same room at other hotel or even at Ibis Budget.
My brother and I were recommended the Ibis Hotels for our brief stay in Prague. We chose the Mala Strana location specifically for its affordability. The location ended up being central for traveling into town square as well as near the bus lines (about a 20min drive to PRG). Both the hotel and restaurant staff were hospitable. The rooms were clean and perfect for us since we spent most of our time out site-seeing and didn't require much space or luxury (yes, the bathrooms and rooms are noticeably smaller than U.S. hotel rooms, but this was expected) although, the rooms are updated and provide everything necessary. My brother and I enjoyed our stay so much that we stayed here again a few days later (when we passed back through Prague before heading back to the U.S.). Also, I usually eat out to experience the cafes in town, but when rushed to leave early our last day, the breakfast provided was decent!
Good budget accommodation. Staff were very helpful. Good location as close to center but not so close to be overcrowded. We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel since price seemed a little high for a budget location. We ate a snack one night at the bar, but didn't want to eat in the restaurant, felt cold in terms of atmosphere. There is a Tescos almost next door which is really convenient for families, as we were able to get some child friendly snacks for the little one, extra water and a toy or two.
