A good budget place to stay with easy access to the Metro for getting into the centre of Paris. More advanced guidance on parking arrangements would have avoided another circle around the busy Paris streets!

It was nice experience to stay at this hotel. Rooms are well maintained and well kept. Breakfast need to include some fruits and egg omelet as we are unable to find the same at breakfast. The hotel is little far from Metro and Tram Station but it is manageable. Overall the stay was good and had nice experience though.

I expected to be in Paris at midnight, and I knew I had to leave a 5:30am to continue my journey. I had thought perhaps I should stay up all night. But thought it was too long and so I booked. Unfortunately I was held up at the Ferry and so didn't get to the hotel until 3:30 am. It is a rough area of Paris at that time of night and I got robbed. Fortunately it wasn't much money and I managed to avoid violence. I still had to leave at 5:30 so I only got 2 hours sleep. It isn't the fault of the Hotel but I will not be going there again. Next time I shall make sure I get to Paris early in the day.

I stayed in the Porte de la Chapelle Ibis hotel for 2 days. I had showered in the first day and wished to do the same on the second day, since I was really sweaty from the sunny day. Well, on the 2nd day, I arrived at the room and there were no towels. I thought that this was an honest mistake made by the maid, so I calmly went downstairs to ask for them. The receptionist not only refused to give me towels, but also was very rude and implied that I had stolen them and wanted more. Give me a break, who wants an Ibis towel? Anyway, me and my boyfriend had to dry ourselves with 1 hand towel...

Although spartan, the rooms are well maintained and comfortable. Breakfast was fine. and the staff are very helpful. The location is not ideal for walking as it is on the north side of the 'Periferique' motorway, and requires great care to cross a busy underpass.I would recommend using a taxi from La Chapelle metro. Taxis in general are ok, though we we were ripped off by one who did not zero his meter. It already was showing 9euros from his previous drop 30metres away! My fault for not immediately pointing this out.

service is ok but I was waiting for a long tim to check in. Room is good just for sleeping. Too small shower box and it is not so convenient. It is not far from Metro but the area is not so nice. What best about it is the price.

- Good connection to the local Metro network (20 mins total to Place de la Concorde) - Breakfast okay but don't expect too much - The area around the hotel looks really dirty and dangerous - Ideal when you just want to see and explore Paris and need only a clean place to sleep

The room and the bathroom is super small, but it is very clean and comfortable. The place is very quiet and soundproof. The staff at the front desk was polite, and the cleaning staff respected our "do not disturb" sign. Free internet inside the room. The location is somewhat bad though. Google gave me a walking direction to/from metro in which we had to walk under the bridge where the homeless people live (and we had to cross over a busy highway on a bicycle lane). It's a little scary when walking in the evening, but luckily we didn't have any problems. On the last day, we just realized there was an easier and safer way to walk there, from the other side of the street where the tram station was. For more info on this route, look up Trip Advisor people reviews on Novotel Porte de la Chapelle. Novotel and Ibis Budget is located right next to each other, and we didn't realize people posted the info on the easier way to get to the metro. Other than that, this hotel has a very good value for the price I paid, very comfortable and clean, and has an easy access to anywhere in Paris since it is close to the metro.

If you are looking for a cheap hotel in Paris then this hotel is ideal, rooms are very clean and windows are almost sound proof so could not hear main road outside the window. Location is fine if travelling as a group but would not recommend for solo travel especially after dark. Also about 30 minutes from central Paris - walk/metro from Porte de la Chapelle. Would stay again but only if Ibis normal hotels nearer centre of Paris were much more expensive.

This was a business trip to Paris, and I booked very late, so stayed at the Ibis Budget, formerly Etap hotel in Porte de la Chapelle. The reception staff were ok, but under pressure and not hugely helpful (for example, I was told my breakfast payment could not be refunded, as it was too difficult to do so). Breakfast was adequate, self service and plenty of bread, jams, coffee and juice. The room was simple, but very clean and ok for the 3 nights I was spending there - the bed was comfortable and the shower was great, with very little noise from outside (I was on the 9th floor), and wi-fi was free. However, the area around the hotel is awful, very run-down and rather forbidding at night-time, even though the metro was only a 10 minute walk away. For this reason, I will not stay here again.

nice hotel to stay but the location was not the easiest to find and located a few miles out of the best part of Paris but I wish I had stayed closer to the city centre but I am sure I would stay there again.

The hotel itself is good value for money. The room is functional with a clean toilet and decent shower...but the location is awful. To get access to the hotel you have to cross a busy main road and the area is to say the least unsavory, quite dirty with dodgy characters hanging around the streets. I would feel very unsafe walking back to this hotel at night.
