We have stayed at this hotel about 4 or 5 times before. This time, we checked in, showered, changed and went out for a meal. When we returned there was an envelope taped to the door telling us that the water supply to our loo had been turned off and we would have to use the public toilet situated at the end of the next corridor. There was no-one on reception, so we were forced into this totally unsatisfactory arrangement. the next morning, I asked why we could not have been offered another room. First I was told no other rooms of the "format" we had chosen were available. The hotel was not fully booked - in fact at midnight, there were only 19 vehicles in the car park. Then I was told another room number and access code could not have been left because other guests could have opened the envelope. So why could it not have been left INSIDE the room? I was assured that the problem would be fixed that morning, but as we were leaving, that was of no help to me. If I had wanted to share public facilities, I would have booked into a Formula 1. In addition, the beds were hard as planks of wood. Since no apology or other comment was forthcoming from the receptionist, we had no choice but to leave thoroughly dissatisfied.
