Arrived late after a delay at Eurotunnel and no-one at reception. Seems that they close reception at 9.00pm (I arrived at 9.30) and luckily another guest explained the process. A note (in just the French language) instructs a guest to go to the Mecure (?) hotel next door and they then gave me my key. No help, no apology and no bar!!! Parking was provided - at a €6 fee - thanks!

The hotel is part of the budget group and is therefore fitted out to match the budget. It is well placed to visit chateaux on the Tours and is near the centre to enable visits to the old town and the cathedral. There is a good tram service which passes by the civic buildings which are impressive. The market is an exciting place to visit.

This Ibis Budget Tours is well situated close to the city center (1 minute walk) and even though the TVG train station is behind it you could not hear any trains or noise and we were on the side of the hotel that faced the station. The room had its own bathroom with shower, sink and toilet and was clean. The bed was made each day which is always nice. Well worth the price paid as we booked months in advance and with this Budget one it was practically the same as the regular IBIS hotels . The other Accor owned hotels are right next door as well. The beds are on the firmer side as they not have the mattress toppers that the regular IBIS's do. And extra pillows can be acquired when asked at the desk as well as hair dryers. All in all we stayed for 3 nights and found it quite comfy as you are out most of the day anyway. I would recommend this hotel and stay again.

This is a bare bones hotel... yes, I get this, however, the cooling unit on the room, a.k.a. air conditioning was not working properly... and the beds were equipped with thick and heavy covers... difficult not to try to open the window - that opens just barely - to try to be comfortable. Wi-fi is insufficient for the hotel... very slow speed and inconsistent. Breakfast does not offer many options... I would have fared better had I gone to the local market and bought cookies and similar

Only had a one night stay. Clean rooms and great staff. We are self-drive, a parking is free of charge. Next to other accor hotels ( partership ). Away from station just a few minute. Not to far to Rue Nationale, there is good for shopping & dinning.

I think it's a very good hotel and very clean. The rooms are big in comparation with Other Ibis Budget, it's exactly at centree ville, proche de la gare, You have all the magasines and restaurants next. i really enjoy my sejour to this hotel. And the reception it's nice and serviable.

Thanks to 2 sets of double glazed windows, 2 doors and carpeted corridors, this hotel was surprisingly quiet. Very handy to the station with a good and affordable breakfast. The room was small but was excellent value for money and we would definitely stay here again.

I have stopped twice in two years both times they have messed up the reservation, both times I requested a twin room, both time they gave me a double room, and couldn't have cared less about my request, the breakfast is the most overpriced pile of waste ever, a couple of slightly warm croissants and some 3 day old bread, some gone off yogurt (lumpy and smelly) some luke warm coffee, for €9!!! and to top it off the lift broke down with us in it! unsurprisingly I wont be using this "hotel" again, I have stopped in better youth hostels in Australia

We always use ibis hotels on our travels , mainly because they are clean ,and very good value .. I would recommend ibis to anyone who doesn't want any nasty surprises , and worrying about how good or clean the hotel is going to be ..

Receptionist extremely unhelpful. We were given such unsatisfactory instructions as to where to park the car we had to go back twice after searching for 20 minutes, whereupon she only then produced a map showing clear instructions of where to go. Why couldn't she have done this to start with as we found the parking straightaway with the map

Very hard beds and pillows. Curtains need attention. Although non-smoking some inconsiderate and lazy person did smoke in the room - I had to change rooms. Other Budget Ibis have a nicer feel than the Tours Budget Ibis. Quiet and very handy to the Station.

I stayed in the Ibis Budget Hotel in Tours for 3 nights from Wednesday 11th. to Friday 13th June inclusive. The hotel is very conveniently situated for the railway and bus stations and the tourist sights of Tours. My room had all the amenities required for a comfortable stay. Buffet breakfast offered an adequate choice This hotel represents good value for money when booked in advance..

stopped at ibis in tours on the way to the alpes for a ski trip, we were happy with the rooms and service and security of the hotel, the price was good and would probably use them again on the next trip.

If you choose to stay in a 'budget' hotel you have to accept what you get. Having said that then the context was that the hotel was very impersonal and, due to lack of staff interface, you live in a bit of a vacuum! On arrival I was allocated a room on the 6th. floor that, when I arrived, had not been cleaned. After going back down to reception I was immediately given a new room on the 7th. floor that had been cleaned. For a senior citizen carrying luggage this toing and froing was not good. Also in considering parking it was not clear, prior to arriving, what rules applied in terms of how and where you could park. At the end of the day the fact that I was able to get in and it was free was obviously acceptable.

Check in and out were straightforward. Room was clean and comfortable, although basic. Parking was available and the breakfast was good. The only thing I disliked was that dog owners clearly walk their dogs past the hotel which opens straight onto the street, and don't clear up after them; it is not nice to watch your step walking into the hotel, although I accept on a Sunday evening there were no staff available; bit unfair on the staff too.

The hotel was central to town and railway station. The bed, (albeit a foam sheet on a plywood base) was extremly comfortable ( a refresing change) the staff spoke Enlish, which was appreciated as our France was non exisstant. The breakfast was adequate.

Although this is a no smoking hotel there was a very strong smell of cigarettes at times through the air conditioning. Apart from that a good, basic, clean, inexpensive place to stay that is well located within walking distance of Tours centre. Receptionist was very helpful on my arrival and gave me options for parking motorbike securely
