We stayed here for 4 nights, from 4. July 2015.
We arrived at the hotel, by car. It was very easy to find the hotel with our GPS navigator.
Parking in front of the hotel is free. There are closed parking places behind the hotel too. But they are not free. I think, it costs about 5 Euro per day. There are a plenty of public road side parking places are available near to the hotel.
We found the staff at the counter more stressed and less friendly than two months before. As we have made use of the online checking-in everything for our stay was prepared.
The room and the bath are neat and clean. They are not very spacious, but we were there to visit Barcelona and therefore the accommodation was sufficient for our purpose. A safe was not available in the room. However we have made use of the safe at the reception for free to keep our important documents. We utterly missed a fridge in the room, especially because of the very hot summer.
We haven’t taken breakfast in the hotel. There are food stores in two to three minutes walking distance. We got our croissant, bun, yoghurt, coffee etc. from these stores. Our breakfast was much cheaper than that in the hotel.
We couldn’t find the 24 hour restaurant in any way worthy. The prices are high and the choices, quality and the quantity are poor. Readymade frozen food is not our choice.
There is a bus stop in front of the hotel. Bus 81 and 86 go to the Barcelona centre. The Last stop is the Plaça d'Espanya. It costs 2.15 Euros from the hotel to the Plaça d'Espanya.
If one decide to buy Barcelona Card or Barcelona Card Express which includes all Barcelona public transportation, be careful that the trip with the bus 81 and 86 is not included and has to be paid extra.
There is no Shuttle bus between the Airport and the Hotel Ibis. A taxi from the airport to the hotel costs 20 Euros. From hotel to the airport we have paid 18 Euros for a taxi on our last day.
