Good hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Room was spacious and quiet. There was a book of useful information in reception which explained where to catch the tram into Rouen from just round the corner. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful

This Ibis hotel is an old Etap hotel. It is a bit worn down, but perfectly clean and in working order. No lift. The location is currently in the middle of a building site, so it is difficult to leave the hotel by foot. The nearest restaurant is 800 m away, but there are two grill bars only 250 m from the hotel. Good safe parking.

Ibis Budget Rouen Centre Rive Gauche is an good value property for travelers with cars. The staff work hard to provide prompt check in, daily cleaning, local information, and hotel amenities. The “check in” kiosk provides off hours check in. The hotel has a parking lot for travelers with cars. Additionally, the property is within 12 minutes walk of the Avenue de Caen metro stop where one can catch a tram to the Gare - Rue Verte, Palais de Justice, Theatre des Arts, or Beauvoisine stations in Rouen. It is a good place to sleep. It serves as a good base to explore Rouen. Solid value.

The owner of this hotel was friendly and went out of her way to help. She was lovely. The hotel is close to the Metro so no need to take the car into Rouen. The breakfast was better than in other ibis budget hotels. Clean Hotel

Clean and comfortable enough for a overnight stop, clean bathroom, secure parking, you need 1.60 euros in coins per journey for the metro. Easy automated access outside of reception hours The Cathedral is worth visiting

Kind personel, tidily and clean room (a little bit oldschool - but it's budget). Bathroom sufficient and clean. There is everything you need but without super comfort. Distance to nearest subway stop could be shorter but is quite acceptable and than there is only few stops to centre of city. I recommend this place if you need travel budget.

A basic hotel in an unfashionable part of Rouen. Clean basic room, bed, shower and toilet. Manager friendly and helpful. Breakfast reasonable for the price paid. Overall you get what you paid for. Budget means budget

The first time we stayed at this hotel was 2years ago. The room was basic and on the ground floor, clean and spacious. The service and breakfast was standard. However this time. The room was small. The mattress was almost non-existent. There was a dirty yellow stain on the floor too. Also this hotel has no lift and we were on the third floor. I asked to change rooms due to the terribly low bed with very this mattress and was told all rooms were the same. As we were tired and only staying the night, we didn't pursue a change. Furthermore, it was a hot summer and there was no air conditioning. I've stayed in many Ibis budget hotels throughout France and this was the worst. The only reason we booked this was because it has free parking but next time I would choose another Ibis hotel with better facilities or an alternative company.

Really impressed by the team in Rouen. We had a friendly and helpful reception during both our visits in July. Our dog Milou was made most welcome too. We were given clear directions to the city centre and recommended a superb restaurant (Al 1) which you really shouldn't miss out on.

PLEASE do not deceive clients about the proximity of the location to the Tramway arrêt Avenue de Caen. We spent 2 plus hours looking for the place in the rain last Sunday with no landmarks and a disintegrating very wet map. Ms. Majeurie at the reception was however sweet and very resourceful during the rest of our stay. Rouen has quite a few Ibis hotels. These hotels must therefore be very precise with the information regarding their location. PLEASE put a location map at least from l'arrêt Avenue de Caen on the reservation copy .... still couldn't find Rue Duval for instance due to lack of sign boards..

Our hosts Bernard and Virginie Calliet were very friendly, and made us very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble, and they were always ready with a smile, and a friendly greeting. Our room was very clean and comfortable, and we were provided with fresh towels every day, during our fourteen day stay. Thank you to our hosts, for being so friendly, and making our stay such an enjoyable and quiet experience. We would recommend this hotel, and the beautiful gardens nearby, and would definitely stay here again, when we visit Rouen. It was so easy to take a five minute walk to the metro at Avenue de Caen, which takes about ten minutes to reach the city, and is reasonably priced. During our stay, we visited Notre Dame Cathedral, the Modern Church of Joan of Arc, Le Gros Horloge (the Great Clock), the Old Market Place, the Gustave Flaubert Bridge, and the Fine Arts Museum. There was also plenty of time to appreciate the beautiful and inspiring city of Gothic churches, cobblestoned pedestrian centre, hundreds of medieval half-timbered houses, and a variety of shops, tea rooms and restaurants. We also booked two trips from Rouen to Paris, on the Oui bus to visit the Catacombs of Paris, and the Eiffel Tower, as well as the Palais of Versailles. We also made day trips to other interesting places, including Giverny, Bayeux, Lisieux, Abbeville, Etretat,(and Fougeres, Brittany, on our return to Avranches. We would highly recommend visiting this amazing and beautiful city, and staying at the Ibis Budget Rouen Centre Rive Gauche.

First class budget hotel. Very easy booking and online check in. The receptionist was very helpful and the rstaurant he recommended was first class. Room was spotlessly clean and overall it was a very pleasant stay.

Very clean and tidy place and warm too, a nice personal touch was someone turning on the heating in our room and drawing the blinds before arrival. Location was a bit out of the way in a city that has a number of other Ibis, but obviously there is a lot of regeneration going on in the area judging by the building sites around. Hotel itself was very safe and car parking completely secure. Very generous breakfast in the morning, until 9.30am so a good stay.

Good, clean, friendly hotel close to the metro and with secure free parking. The manageress is superb, always busy and smiling and when a pickpocket in rouen's city centre stole our passports her help and kindness was very much appreciated.

Booked late but got what I paid for. I was pleasantly surprised. The booking in system works well. Breakfast was a pleasant experience. Parking was secure. Rooms were clean and secure. The staff worked hard at breakfast to keep everything on the buffet topped up.

We used this hotel for an overnight stay on our way back up to Calais from the Vendee. When we arrived the reception was closed but we were able to check in by inputting our details into the computer in the foyer which then have us our room numbers and door codes to get into the hotel. The hotel was basic but clean and nicer than the one we had stayed in on our way down in Chatellerault. Not as nice as our premier inn's but ideal for a cheap overnight stay

Very difficult to find within the city. Area looked rather run-down but the hotel was fine - particularly for the one night we had booked. Breakfast was very good. Noisy overnight, mostly road noise..

the hotel itself is may be a little better than other ibis budget but location is no good, way too far from the city centre and a long walk from the closest metro station which could be tricky at night!

Good budget hotel close to city centre. Arrived after 10 pm so reception closed. Had to park outside gates then walk through pedestrian gate to get into front porch so i could enter my code and pay for room and receive bedroom door code and car park gate code. Nice clean room and toilet. Quiet area but i was hungry. Turned right out of gates and walked 3 minutes down to the main junction Av de Caen and turned left and another 3 minues walk and on right was a takeaway or sit in until midnight. Continental breakfast was good. Friendly receptionist let me leave my car in car park after checking out so i could get the tram into town to see the sights. Only 5 minutes walk to Av de Caen tram stop. Pay E 1.50 in machine before entering tram and get off on 4th stop Palais de Juctice for town centre. Coming back there are two tram lines. Important to get on the correct one to Av de Caen. Enjoyed my stay here. Good budget option.

An excellent, inexpensive base from which to visit Rouen. A few block away from the river, on a fairly busy road with good bus service. Very clean, tidy and peaceful inside with a good car park outside - locked at night.
