the room rate is very good and reception was very friendly good location to approach city center and high way also easy for parking the restaurant for dinner and breakfast is very nice quality food and cuisine also room and bath room very clear
We used the hotel for 1 night before an early morning flight, it was ideal for that. Staff are very friendly the hotel is in a good location for the airport, however the rooms and carpets in the corridors are a little tired....the hotel is clean, rooms are a good size and bathrooms clean.
Every time I like to stay in Ibis or Mercure hotel. This Ibis is a good hotel, but the localization is very bad. Far from Florence and harf to pick-up a bus. The breakfast is simple but food. I do not recommend for who want to enjoy Florence night time! The dinner is very bad also. Nothing near this hotel.
It is far from the city center and do not have easy access to transportation. I think the hotel should have some shuttle service to the one point in the city center 4 times a day. When I arrived there was a long line (12 people waiting) to get do the check in - maybe the hotel need more employee or to make this process easier.
The best of Accorhotels comparing to my consecutive stays in Ibis, Mercure Siena and Novotel Bologna, every other day respectively. Hotel was clean, staff was friendly and the breakfast was good value for money. The bed was excellent. The location is good, parking places are enough. It is a safe bet.
Desk staff particularly helpful with a problem we had which was not connected to the hotel. Much appreciated A bus ride into Florence. Hotel good. Breakfast good. Problem with evening meal immediately dealt with.
Unhappily, the sidewalk was under renovation. I know that was not hotel´s fault but it was a huge problem to reach in hotel by foot even though by bus. I think the hotel should be another easy way to go to the hotel besides by cab because it is a economy hotel and there are not all people that have money to pay cab.
for 50 euro a night, you get what you pay for. wake up call never happened...almost missed my early flight. cab from hotel to the airport [5 min] was a rip-off. very uncomfortable bed. room was too warm [no thermostat]
This hotel is well run, with friendly, helpful front reception. The breakfast was abundant, with many selections. The room was large enough, comfortable with no frills, as are most Ibis rooms. It was a long way to the bus stop, if you want to take a bus into Firenze, instead of driving a car. The parking was free at this hotel, and we didn't want to drive our car into the city. The bus ends at the train station, which was a good location for walking to many sites on our list.
Property is good but as it is quite far from the city center, one feels stranded, each side taxi i.e. to n from from city costs around 50 Euros, so its better to take a hotel stay with in city..........................................................
This is a bare-bones hotel about 5 minutes from the airport. Our AC in the room did not work. The carpeting was really dirty and bathroom had bad 'sewer smell'. Luckily we were only here one night. They have a restaurant but most items on the menu were prepared from frozen food. I noticed a Novatel right next door. I should have stayed there!
We reached Florence by train. Locating hotel was not very easy as only 2 buses No. 29 and 30 go to the hotel which drop you 600-700 meters away from the hotel. Check in was smooth and easy. Room was nice and clean though we felt room was a little small. Bathroom was big with a bath tub. Room amenities like towels, pillow, blankets were generously provided. Most of the front staff could speak english which otherwise could be a problem in many parts of Italy as locals prefer to speak in Italian only. Please be aware that the Air conditioning could be a problem in peak summers as the ACs in our room was not effective at all. We stayed in the hotel in first week of June and the day tempratures touching 32 C but AC in our room was not able to cool the room. The other parts of hotel like the reception, common areas were quite cool though. The hotel staff was least helpful in this matter and rather suggested us to keep the curtains drawn at all times to not let the sun's heat come in to the room. This made the room very dark as the room lighting was not adequate. The Wi-Fi was also not good at its speeds dropped very frequently. The rear side of the hotel is very close to the next door novotel hotel. We had a room on the rear side of the hotel and the Wi-Fi networks would interfere and showed only Novotel's login due to which we were not able to log in to Wi-Fi many times. I read other people's review on trip advisor for this hotel who have complained of irratic hot water supply in the shower and it seems hotel has not take care of this yet as I experienced alternating hot-cold water supply in the shower. The hotel has a big restaurant and breakfast was good. Over all ambiance is pretty good. For those using public transport, please be aware that the frequenty of buses goes down towards late evenings. Though the service of Bus no. 30 from Firenze S.M.N is every 20 minutes, during night there is only one bus after 10.00 pm which leaves at around 11.30 pm. For first times, get on to Bus No. 30 from near the Firenze S.M.N and get down at Casa-Rosa bus stop just next stop to IKEA from where you can walk to the hotel in 5 minutes. The hotel is visible from the bus stop, so you will not have difficulty to locate the hotel. There are a couple of restaurants near Casa-rosa bus stop and a McDonalds one stop before (10 minutes walking).
Typical Ibis Hotel, very good to stay . Localization a little far from Firenze. Breakfast not so good, it does 't have even hot chocolate . Very good wifi, bed and shower! Parking covered, very good .
Nice hotel with well laid out clean room, free breakfast with many options, free parking. Staffs were very helpful and courteous. Stayed in lot of hotels but this IBIS hotel is simply awesome and provide gr8 value for money.
Even though the hotel is a bit out of the way, it was well worth staying there A 40min number 30 bus into the city, and are slap -bang in the centre Even the meals were better than expected for an ibis. The reservation /front desk staff were still smiling after hours of my questions I will stay there again
The location was right, the room was clean the bed was good and the staff was excellent. The water tempurature in the shower was not constant, I hate to take showers with alternating hot & cold. Room 216
We were pleasantly surprised with this airport hotel. Great service, good internet speeds, free street parking and an easy bus ride in to the city center. Both the dinner and breakfast were good and worth the price and the staff was very accommodating and multilingual. They even have a guarantee that if they can't solve a problem for you in 15 minutes your stay is free! The telephone wake up call didn't work and the hotel desk clerk came up to the 6th floor and knocked on our door at 4 am!! I will definitely stay her anytime I fly out of Florence.
We stayed here as a couple for 2 nights in november 2013 , but we stayed also here another times. The room is big , clean , good bed. Free internet and free parking is a plus. We will stay here and another times ...
Predictable - and quite satisfactory - standards of décor, service, accommodation and meals service. Helpful staff. Location - on an industrial estate - isn't too glamorous, but it was quiet. Poor access by public transport - only one or two local bus routes nearby.
We (my wife and myself) stayed 7 days at this hotel in Firenze (Ibis), where we enjoyed the beautiful city with its numerous historic sites. The hotel were we stayed was clean, the staff was helpful and working hard to satisfy the clients. I would like to give to this hotel the four stars rate, because of the quality of the services, which is unusual for an Italian hotel. The hotel is at a convenient distance to the airport (about 2 - 3 miles) and to the city center (about 5 - 6 miles). Definitely I would recommend this hotel for pleasurable stay.
