Stayed here for 2 nights in November with my dog. I was visiting friends in Fuengirola and this was the closest 'decent' pet friendly hotel that I had found. The room/bathroom were clean and in good repair. I had a room overlooking the motorway outside which worried me at first when I saw it, till I realised that the really quiet air conditioner was actually louder than the noise from the motorway outside. They had achieved this by building a second window on the inside of the wall creating a sound proof window system. The staff were friendly and helpful but I had one concern. As I usually prefer to eat in when tired, I enquired about eating out on the terrace as I had my dog with me. I was informed that the terrace was closed, (there was a sign to that effect on the door to the terrace). I was then informed in detail that I could sit on the terrace with my dog but would have to order my food and drink at the bar then wait for it when it would be given to me on a tray, to carry out myself onto the terrace and that if I required anything else I would have to come back inside and repeat the process. Needless to say I wasn't interested in balancing a tray and a dog on a leash plus maybe having to also open the doors myself all at the same time, so I went out and visited one of the many restaurants in the town, sitting at a table outside, closed in on three sides protected from wind and weather where a waiter happily took my order and served me outside even bringing my dog a bowl of water and I didn't have to worry about balancing anything. I didn't understand why the terrace was closed as it was not that cold and the previous week I stayed at the Ibis Alicante and the night before had stayed at the Ibis Granada, both places were not as warm as Malaga but both served me on the outside terrace. I understand different rules for different hotels but I think that exceptions can be made at times. Another small point is that as an Accor Gold Card holder I am entitled to a complimentary drink when staying at an Accor hotel. I have several unused vouchers at home because I don't always take advantage of them but have always been offered them. Not so at this hotel, it just seems odd that when it comes to service, something seems lacking here.
