Very clean hotel, good food and good service. Good car parking, will return for another stay. We were made very welcome and hotel is very well positioned for here we wanted to be near to spot eddie stobart trucks.
I find it sad that I must right a bad review, as the staff and food are outstanding, and we were in a different room, but it still smelt of sweaty feet, the carpet was covered in bits as though it hadn't been vacuumed, and the duvet cover had horrible brown marks/stains on it, I have a photo if you require it. I'm doubtful we will return as this is the second stay that I find things I'm not happy with.
On arrival at the hotel there were fresh biscuits at the reception and the receptionist chap came over with his hand held palm top tablet and was a quick and speedy check in. The room was clean but the carpet had obviously seen some mileage!! The only problem I encountered (I ALWAYS ENCOUNTER WITH IBIS) is that they do not provide a plug socket near the bed. I, like many others, use my phone as my alarm and like a full charge in the morning. The sleepy dash to the other side of the room to stop a blasting alarm i not fun. I feel this is an oversight by the room designers and does put me off booking Ibis hotels.
I enjoy the Ibis here in Rugby it is simple basic and the staff really do try hard. Excellent breakfast and it is nice and early so able to get started early in the day. The staff try to look after you all the time which is good for a budget hotel
Our flight arrived very late,we called the hotel direct(always a plus)... We arrived at 5am...to a warm and friendly welcome.hotel location a little off the beaten track but ok. Room very quiet as is the hotel.
Have stayed here a few times before booked this stay in june to benefit from a lower rate, was not disapointed good room. staff are very accomodating. well positioned for touring that area. we use it when we are fishing in that area.
This is a very welcoming hotel above the standard I would normally expect from an Ibis hotel. There are 2 downsides however. 1 It is in a very industrial/commercial estate with no immediate village/town facilities. 2 The unnecessary arrangements for using the car park with numerous signs threatening £100 penalties should you forget to register your car on a computerised system inside the hotel or make an error with your registration number. Totally unacceptable for guests to be threatened in this way.
good hotel. nice rooms. Good menu. good price. Only issue was that the only draught beer was John Smiths smooth which ok if you like pressurised beer. People left early so if your bedroom overlooks the car park it can be noisy
Apart from the room being excellent, the restaurant menu was also very good, and as I had two friends meeting me there, the restaurant and the food was lovely, so Gold Stars for the service and food. I would recommend the Ibis to anyone, and I have stayed many times in the Rugby East Ibis, and always have found it to be excellent.
Nice hotel, clean, tidy, everything worked, and a good easy location to find. Good value for money, but I wish that they would improve their security, as the bedrooms were accessible via the stairs or lift without any swipe card barrier. They are not alone in this lack of security of course, but it is easy to address, so why don't they?.
Room was fine. Clean and tidy. Perhaps a little too warm but it was quite hot outside. Dinner was a little disappointing . One of our party was vegan and the only choice she had was the mushrooms others had with their steaks. To be fair, on the second night she was offered a vegan thai curry. The best part of visiting this hotel is allowing us to take our dogs and a ground floor room for easy access with them.
We booked the Ibis Rugby East hotel because we've used the Ibis chain before and found to be clean and comfortable, even though they are only basic. Imagine out surprise when we arrived in what appeared to be at least a four star facility. Nicely decorated, complimentary refreshments, comfortable seating and sumptuous carpets, and that was only the reception area. The remainder of the hotel proved to be just as efficiently equipped with the bedrooms being light and airy with comfortable beds and seating. The hotel bar was well stocked with a mixture of draught beers and ciders, spirits and wines, perfect for relaxing after a heavy day. In the morning breakfast was typical English cooked, with cereals, fruit and a continental style choice. The staff are very polite and extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The down points, well, no swimming pool or gymnasium, or evening meal, but there again, its a budget hotel, what does one expect. We will certainly be using Ibis again the next time we visit Rugby.
Parking was easy, staff very welcoming and my room was a decent size with cotton bed linen - always a bonus. Even though it was close to major roads I was not disturbed by the noise at all. Nice to see a big shower tray too with room to move your arms. I left too early to enjoy the breakfast sadly.
Regular visitor to this hotel rooms are basic but comfortable beds much better now. Staff helpful and as a line traveller female always feel safe. Great position for motorway links and local towns. Recommend for short stays.
Friendly staff who helped check in our group of 20 rugby players. We booked 10 rooms and the staff were well used to getting the correct room keys issued. Breakfast was good with plenty to eat and reasonable choice. I would recommend this hotel to groups.
Great Budget Hotel, stayed for two night, Staff very helpful, room basic but comfortable and clean. The hotel menu is limited and expensive and not a great choice for children but the food served was very good.
We came to Ibis because of their dog friendly prices. It began at free, then £5 for a dog but now £10 per night. I will probably go back to Days Inn which is usually reasonable or even Travelodge where £20 is a lot but it's for the whole stay. A pity because Ibis is good but not at £10 a night per dog.
Stayed here for access to all the local fishing lake had a great time fishing, the hotel was well located, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was good and plenty of it, better value for money than some of the other holet chains, Thanks.
This was the fourth stay at Ibis East Rugby. The room was, as ever, clean and fresh-smelling. Reception staff were pleasant and efficient. My only issue was the mysterious disappearance of waiting staff half way through the evening meal. The food is always very good but service on this occasion was extremely slow.
We stayed here just so I could chill and my husband could do Eddie Stobart spotting. We had a family room. Room was clean and comfortable, tempreture we could set ourselves on heater. Bed so comfortable. Restaurant was an added bonus, food good, well presented and enjoyable. Staff friendly and so helpful. We certainly will return
