Room was basic but clean and comfortable. Staff were incredibly helpful and never had to wait more than a couple of minutes for a queue to be sorted out. Convenient for the ExCel centre albeit with a little bit of a walk. Quiet location was appreciated as had early mornings!

As a budget hotel, it has a great location; is clean and, although basic, very welcoming and convenient. We didn’t stay for breakfast (as we were traveling early) but the social area look very well stocked, friendly and laid back

The staff or receptionist (known as maliha) was pointing her small finger to talk to my colleagues. She was not friendly to speak to guests, my colleagues pointed her approach as rude. Terrible hospitality experience!!!

I have stayed at this ibis for the past three weeks. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. I have no issues with noise from other guests. There are absolutely no frills included, even the ability to make tea/coffee in your room. There is a lot of noise outside, mainly because the hotel is located very close to industry. Lorries going past the hotel are felt and not only heard. While the hotel is well located geographically, it is in an area that is really not very well served. With I think one exception there is nowhere nearby to have a drink or go for something to eat. The closest shop is reasonably well stocked but very expensive. You need to come prepared! My main concern with the location of the hotel is the lack of street lighting leading up to it. The walk from the nearest DLR stop (Pontoon dock) is only about ten minutes but in places, especially near to the hotel, is very dark and you are walking past derelict land. As a middle-aged man I feel reasonably safe, but the street is quiet and secluded and more could be done by the hotel to improve approach to it. Even if that only means asking the council to switch the street lights on!

I wasn't expecting too much from a budget hotel, but was pleasantly surprised. The service was efficient and friendly. Only a continental breakfast available, but at a good price and good quality. I tried the 24/7 pizza service which was pretty good! Free parking was a welcome bonus, and the nearest train station (DLR) not too far away. If I need a budget place to crash in London, I will be back.

Stayed for one night, the room was clean and had everything we needed. The bed was comfy, I did ask for extra pillows and was given these straight away. There was a Tv in the room as well. The hotel is close by to passing trains and the airport, when the window was closed there was hardly any noise. Me and my partner slept well and check was at 12 so we didn't have to rush in the morning.

Good price to stay in a modest but very clean hotel, with an easy going staff and a very helpful service from the housekeeping girl, whose name I don't remember (the room number was 125). For a budget premise it delivers what is promised and expected.

On arrival there was no receptionist and no obvious way to raise one. The reception area was clean and tidy if a little unappealing. Once checked in the room was adequate, but the level of noise around the hotel and outside from guests was quite loud. This died down about 23:00 and a good nights sleep was had. For a budget hotel, it hit the mark in all aspects with exception of cost. Paying £160 per night for a budget hotel is crazy, when I get hotels in the more "upmarket" chains in Knightsbridge and Kensington for the same price, or less. A short 15 minute walk into London City Airport in the morning. Would only use this again, at this price, as a last resort.

I found the staff very helpful and friendly. The rooms were comfortable although compact. The breakfast buffet was limited but the items were tasty and the price reasonable. The ventilation was not good.

Stayed here a couple of times now, quiet hotel and clean rooms. Would have been nice to have a kettle and tea/coffee, as you get in the rooms in Travelodge and Premier Inn, when you pay similar money.

Like other Accor hotels I have stayed at it is not well maintained The shaver socket in my room did not work. I got the impression that the reception staff couldn't care less especially the woman who was on duty late morning

My family and I were really happy and satisfied with our stay at Ibis London City Airport. The hotel was clean and warm, the staff were good and courteous and we enjoyed ourselves. We will surely recommend it to others who may be looking for budget hotel with characteristics of good home.

GOOD PRICE but Hotel room had a terrible stench when we entered. We open the windows and just left the room as we had no time anyway. In the past Ibis has always great value especially room for 3. Thanks.

Clean & presentable, surrounding area not pretty, but you're not staying there for the views, it's near airport which is what matters! Short walk to bus stop about 3/4 mins, then 1/2 mins ride, or 10/15 min walk away. Reasonable selection for breakfast at extra cost, but very welcome!

£70 for two double rooms. Can't really do much better than that. Clean and simple - polite staff. Walking distance from London City Airport so met our needs. Excellent Italian restaurant nearby - Il Vole. Rather too many lorries early in the morning.

Basic hotel, just like any other Ibis Budget hotels. Really close to a DLR station. The bed is ok and the place is silent, but the rooms get too hot during the summer. I'd only come back in the winter.

The room was simple, but basically comfortable and clean. Very convenient for London City Airport. Happened to stay on the hottest night of the year, so it was difficult to judge comfort on a a normal night.

Hotel room was extremely hot, no air conditioning available. Area for eating by the hotel reception also extremely hot. At 6am there were works going on at an industrial unit next to the hotel making it impossible to sleep as the window had to be left open to allow air into the room.

Yes it is a budget hotel, however £99 a night for a box, with no air conditioning, room was over 40 degrees C at 2am, the beds were like sleeping on a brick and the plastic sheets were the last straw, sticking to them throughout the night and waking up with bed sores in the morning, was so bad that we got up and left at 5:30am as did not get any sleep

The hotel has a useful fast track online check in service with a confirmation message along the lines; "Your Key will be ready on arrival". However, this appears not to be applicable to certain check-in times. My wife and I checked in online to arrive before 12pm but the room key was not ready on arrival. We were asked to pay additional fees in order to gain access to the room. We stayed for one night on a Saturday. The room was neat, clean and had a good smell. Also, the facilities (e.g. TV, hot shower & wifi) were in good working condition. However, I was disappointed there was no wardrobe or fridge (we had some perishables to keep refrigerated pending our long journey back to Cornwall next day); in the room/hotel for guest use. Even some budget guest houses provide these facilities as a routine standard. The hotel is located within reasonable proximity to public transport networks (e.g. London city airport, TFL buses, DLR). Not sure about restaurants and convenience shops as we didn't eat out or require convenience items. The self-service breakfast (continental) was really good value for money. In general, the staff were helpful and friendly although some of them did not have smiley faces.
