Good location near the castle and a walk to the historic part of town. Room was a reasonable size but of a basic standard with little in the way of amenities. Airconditioning inadequate and no tea/coffee making facilities. Wifi was an issue on the laptop but not the mobile phone. Breakfast was varied but long queues for coffee and room was quite cramped for the number of leisure residents that need to eat when business people need to get going

Overall the Ibis was fine as they almost always are. I would have preferred if the aircon could have been a little cooler as I could not get it quite cool enough for my taste. Also, I emailed before the trip to check if the bar is open late as one of our party was not landing till 11 pm. I was told by whoever answered that there was no problem, and the website says it is a 24/7 bar. But when we met him in the bar for a welcome drink there is a sign up saying no alcoholic drinks served after midnight. A bar is not a bar unless you can get an alcoholic drink! It was doubly annoying given the website says it is 24/7 and that I emailed to ask and was assured it would be open. This is an anomaly that should be sorted.

Receptionist are very welcoming and friendly. Their 24h front desks makes our check in at 23.00 hassle free. They have a free luggage storage service and we could leave our bags after checking out and go sightsee in the city before we catch out flight in the evening - worked out perfectly and we didn't have to carry our suitcases around the whole day. We booked a 2 single bed room, the room is a bit small but does the job. The room is very clean and well maintained. With such proximity to the central old town, ibis is a very economical way to stay in Bratislava.

We picked the Ibis Bratislava Centrum for it's central location but it was only when we arrived there that we realised how perfect the location actually was! Bratislava Castle is directly behind it, so about a 7 minute walk up a small hill brings you to the entrance of the Castle. It's also only a 5 minute walk to the beautiful Old Town, where you can savour the delight of its restaurants, shops & bars. The room in the hotel was standard enough but it had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and the shower in the en-suite was excellent. We found the staff to be friendly and professional. Breakfast was very good, there's a great choice in the buffet for a small price, so you won't leave here hungry! There are plenty of trams and buses in close proximity, and only a few minutes walk from the hotel. We staying 3 nights and the value was amazing. We'd definitely stay again. Highly recommended.

Good location for the old town and everything you need for a short break. Room was comfortable and clean and the bathroom was clean and everything worked. Reception was not as efficient as it might have been but overall very happy.

The best thing about the hotel is the location. We got a room facing directly the tram lines which are really loud even at night do to the fact that not even 10 m from the hotel there is a tunnel for tram passage. The room was small and the shower drainage was close to overflowing as anytime you showered water just pooled around your ankles. Another low point is the limited places for parking, maybe 20 spots, which in Bratislava parking is a stress point, as if you are not paying for the spot you can wake up to your car impounded or blocked. I advise to ask for parking confirmation before you arrive at the hotel, because it is cheaper at the hotel (18 Euros per night) compared to a local parking garage (36euros per night).

Rooms either have a bath or a shower with a 6inch step . I had emailed in advance and I was assured I had a disabled room with a shower. When I got to the hotel I was told that all the showers were the same.

We like yr chain and hope you will correct the issues I raised below . The window can't be opened open wide just a little angle and it is not enough . On the other hand the air condition is not working so that it was hot and stuffed. Location is close to main street and TRAM noise was very high and loud . But it was impossible to close the window as there was not enough air in the the room so , the choise was to choose between sufer from noise or suffer from lack of air .

Stayed 4 nights excellent staff and clean hotel. Breakfast very good consisting of bacon sausage scrambled & boiled eggs, cereals bread rolls cold meats cheese yoghurt pastries & fruit. Hotel is very convenient for the old town, only negative was rumbling noise from trams near by.

Hotel was in an Ideal location half way between the Castle & Bratislava's Main Square and close to the restaurants at st. Michael's Tower. Hotel was very clean and the staff very welcoming and helpful. Very comfortable bed, lashings of hot water and plenty of fluffy towels. Only drawback was there were no tea making facilities in the room, and although the hotel sold hot drinks near reception it was'nt like having a British cuppa. Would definitely re visit Bratislava and would happily stay here again.

Stayed for one night and believe this room is good value for money but the air conditioning in the room as well as the circulation of air in the room requires improvement. At times the room felt very stuffy.

The location is excellent with the castle nearby. Just a note that that room is small and basic but it is very clean and modern. For the price it is a good value. Staff were very helpful. Reliable wi-fi with good speed. Note: No coffee or kettle in the room. Only two towels.

The rooms were dated with no safe in the room or a bin. I had tiny little bin in my bathroom which is not enough. When you want to use the ironing facilities you need to request key from the room. Then you go into the housekeeping room where they keep their dirty clothes and washing machine to clean them. When you return your key they will tile you how did took your ironing. The "breakfast" if we can call it breakfast was very poor. Poor selection of hot option. Maybe just one scramble eggs out of powder and hard boiled eggs. There was selection of ham and cheese. I was expecting a but more selection as well as better service. Some of the staff can barely speak English. I know it's not the first language of the country but if you do work in hospitality industry you shall be able to make basic conversions in English. The location on the hotel is very central. Few minutes away from the castle or old town.

The hotel has an excellent location for tourists - near major attractions, within walking distance of the railway station. At the same time, the hotel is a bit overpriced considering the very basic level of services. You can find minimum you may need, but no more.

This hotel was a fine place for our introduction to Bratislava. It served all our needs through a fine, clean, friendly place to stay. It is quite well situated for exploring the center of Bratislava. After bringing a quick bus from the rail station, one can walk the whole historic area.

hotel is well located, clean and confortable staff is really friendly parking is much too expensive for Bratislava. room is renovated and bathroom is new. bratislava is really nice city and worse to discover

Nice and quiet hotel, wi-fi connectivity, well located (near the city centre), friendly personnel, clean room, good breakfast, city transport available. A small fridge and more news TV channels would have been appreciated.

The hotel is in a brilliant location, just at the foot of the Castle and short walk from the Old Town. But if you drive there, be aware of funny road marking and tricky access. You will see it but you will not be sure if you can drive straight to it without breaking the rules... do not worry though. Garage access is OK but you need an access card first before you drive in, as there is an internal gate that has not intercom with the reception. Otherwise, it is a basic Ibis room, so no frills... Breakfast is OK (standard Accor) and staff is friendly and helpful. It is two-star Ibis but pricewise it is not that cheaper than Mercure further away from the Old Town but offering much better standard. So choose carefully.

I really recommend this hotel. Location is a big plus. Breakfast is OK. Room was clean and bed comfortable. There was only one disadvantage: bathroom was not very clean, it had places with mould on tiles.

Great location- short walk to old town, comfortable air conditioned room with comfortable bed, plenty choice for breakfast either cooked or continental and a fantastic price!! Would recommend to travellers on a budget
