A nice hotel, reasonably priced with friendly and efficient staff. Great location, good parking facilities and close to Waterloo high street. Breakfast was sufficient for the price. Rooms are comfortable and have all necessary facilities. Good wi fi throughout the hotel.

Great hotel in the Waterloo area for a business trip. Very friendly staff and accommodating. proximity of stores and quick access to the highway. Good wifi and comfortable room. A small problem with the room was handled immediately and with great professionalism by the manager. I was relocated to a new room in a matter of minutes.

Just right for Waterloo battle ground tour not far away, good pub within walking distance, shops and restaurants just around the corner and not far from the motorway ideal for trip into Belgium city centre.

th bed was very hard , the mattress is too small only +/- 3cm,. In the bathroom was a bad smelll. The compressor outside the hotel is very noisy and works the whole night every 10 minutes. breakfast ok

Simple room for a simple price. Small room No kettle facilities My wife suffers with a bad back - The bed was hard but comfortable - she work up fine in the morning, big plus Shower looked new and was excellent

Excellent position for exploring Waterloo and its environs. Well signposted and therefore easy to find. Our room was clean and functional. We did have a smell of smoking in the room. We were offered an alternative position as the room was above the back door of the restaurant, where the staff congregated to have a smoke. However, we chose to stay put as the room was at the end of the corridor and was extremely quiet. The Trattoria restaurant was convenient and served excellent vegetarian food as well as catering for carnivores. Just wished there had been a kettle and coffee making facilities in the room. We enjoyed our four nights there.

The staff were very friendly and efficient at chec n. The Italian restaurant adjacent to the property served an excellent breakfast in the morning and lunch and dinner were available later. Very convenient dining options. And the property is close to the Battle of Waterloo site.

We stayed at the Ibis Waterloo for 2 nights as it was convenient to both town and battlefields. Excellent Italian nearby (we did not try the Italian in the hotel) and free car parking. Room was quite big for an Ibis. Only drawback was that our room was at the back was above the smokers area and it was hot so we needed window open which meant that we were disturbed by people talking late.

Hardly got any sleep! Hot night so had to have the window open (no air con). Club next door played horrific music until 4am. Staff helped as much as possible. Gave us a fan so we could have the window closed but couldn't move us due to high occupancy.

Hotel ok. But there is no consistant wifi connection. I stayed here in 2014 also and had the same problem. So in a year nothing has changed. Plus i was put in a smoking room which smelled terrible. Was not even offered the choice of a non smoking room.malso rooms are to hot and have no ventilation. Had to open window and ended up getting bitten multiple times by mosquitos!

They rooms were very suspicious and could be helpful if you were staying with children. However there were some drawbacks: - some of the fittings are old and we had a leaking shower cabinet which was not fixed. - more importantly the temperature is controlled centrally. The air conditioner unit really pretends to work, however they were centrally controlled. We had a terrible experience as it was a very hot day and we were told that the AC machine would only circulate warm air as it was still spring and they couldn't change it. We were asked to open our windows all night to sleep which was rediculous. We booked with breakfast which was very basic for the price we paid

Very good service and helpful staff at this hotel. Its central position makes it ideal for exploring the area. The breakfast was very expensive so we crossed the road to 'Lunch Garden' to enjoy a very good breakfast for a fraction of the price. The room was comfortable apart from one very big 'BUT' - the hotel has a restaurant beneath it and the noise coming from the kitchen at the back kept us awake into the small hours of the morning on both days of our stay. One night at 12.30am someone from the kitchen decided it was a good time to throw all the empty bottles into the re-cycling bin. The next night there was a lot of shouting and crashing about until gone 1am. It was very hot whilst we we there - air con. was only available at extra cost and the window could only be opened a very small way by virtue of a fixed chain. How safe would that be in the event of a fire? We would not want to stay there again unless the noise and the heat issues had been resolved.

Stayed at Ibis Waterloo for 5 nights and was lucky enough to have an upgraded room which had a large double bed and air conditioning. Bathroom and shower was a good size and the room was very clean. Free wifi worked well. Staff at reception were excellent and very friendly. If you book this hotel make sure you have an upgraded room as the other rooms I understand do not have air conditioning and not as big. The restaurant was very good in the evening.

WE have stayed at this hotel many times before as it is an easy stop off on our journey...and have usua;;y found it to be quite adequate..not luxury but has all the basic amenities...resturant on the premises and some near by, handy to the shops etc... .However... last weekend was the hottest of the year in reached 34 degrees on the car temperature, and upon arriving at the hotel, already hot and bothered, the room was like an oven... There doesn't appear to be any air con in this hotel...and the window was chained shut so would only open about 4".. We sat for a while before propping open the door to try and get a we went down to reception and asked for a fan...They don't have fans apparently....but after we signed a disclaimer they did eventually come up and take the chain off of the window so we could at least open it..... It was still very hot, so in the end we went across the road to the Bricolage store and bought a table fan, for 20 euors, which we had going blowing on us all night......and thank goodness..for we would never had got any sleep otherwise..... My question is....why couldnt the hotel do the same some portable fans for emergencies such as this..I know that Belgium doesn't get heat waves very often but when it does it would be prudent to be that their customers are not left in such discomfort... We were very disappointed with the OCCUR group and IBIS in particular this trip! My ratings below are based on this trip and not previous visits...

This is a wonderful and friendly Hotel . Quiet room and comfortable bed . Easy car parking adjacent to the Hotel. Pleasant Breakfast with plenty of options . A shame the optional on site franchised Trattoiria is poor.- it just needs a change of mind set.

Good hotel. Friendly staff. Did not eat there so cannot comment on the food. Beware of staying on the top floor in the summer as hotel lacks aircon so rooms get really hot. They do provide a fan to compensate.

Spotlessly clean room. We were lucky enough to have one on the top floor with velux windows (Rm. 606). The staff were friendly and polite. I'm not the best sleeper and usually don't sleep well in hotels BUT I had two very peaceful nights at the ibis! Lovely hot shower and plenty of towels too. My only gripe was the food. When we got there we were starving and in a rush so we ordered two pasta dishes from the bar. They appeared to have been microwaved. Mine was hardened on top. The next morning breakfast proved to be a disappointment too, although to be fair we arrived at the tail end of it. I recommend not booking breakfast with your room and instead going into nearby Waterloo. La Brioche does nice breakfast food, and we had delicious dinners at The Snug. Highly recommended for a cheap and cheerful hotel! Would stay again, or at another ibis hotel.

This is a standard room in a standard hotel. Location for our purpose was good which was the reason for choosing this. The only negative was they have an intern working there on the night shift who does not know a thing about providing service in the hospitality business, even going to extent of arguing with us. Luckily another employee (Mohammed aka Momo) stepped in to diffuse the situation.

This was a smaller Ibis Hotel but the parking was very good and there was an excellent Italian Restauraunt (good value for money!) within the Hotel itself which was just as well because, although we walked to Wellington's Headquarters, we did not see anywhere else to eat.

I arrived late night at the ibis Hotel Waterloo, and the staff was very helpful. I got my room key quite quickly. When arriving at my room, which was a smoking room, it really, really smelled. The reason was not so much the smoking as the ability to open the window more than 20 cm or the lack of ventilation in the room. I found a 5 cm long, black, hard hair in my bed the first night. There was no minibar or fridge at my room, so I asked the reception for a bucket of ice for my champagne. I had to go get it myself, as the hotel had no room service. So off I went, and the lady in the reception threw in like 15 ice cubes and then filled the bucket beyond half full with water, meaning I had to walk to my room with a bucket of water. Guess what - I actually have a tap in my closet-bathroom.. The cleaning staff came around 5 pm the first day, and was totally shocked by me sitting in my room at this hour. I ate at the restaurant downstairs, where they played music such as "I'm blue dabba di dabba dey" and "Boom boom boom boom" (and more 90s music I didn't get the hang of), all sung by the same male voice. When the waiter spilled hot pepper sauce on him, my instinct was to ask if he was OK - a question which he obviously found extremely funny as he kept repeating "I am OK" out loudly for all of the other customers to hear, and spoke to another customer who also found this hilarious as they kept making jokes about it only a few tables away from mine. The steak was dry and soggy, and the salad had WAY TOO MUCH balsamico in it. The fries was good though, and the pepper sauce - even though not tasting as a pepper sauce - was at least something to conquer the steak with. The staff was very helpful with getting a taxi and such, however didn't choose the cheapest taxi which has a maximum rate of 45 euros. Instead, it chose a taxi company they obviously had a deal with, leaving me paying 60 euros to the airport instead of 45. The Internet connection was excellent; I had Google Hangouts video with no problem as I also streamed TV-shows from services such as Netflix (similar). I don't think I'll return to the ibis Hotel Waterloo, even though it was cheap.
