Good value for money if you’re looking for a cheap overnight stay. Staff polite and helpful. Building is a bit tired and could do with some tlc, but room was clean and overall was expected having stayed in other budget hotels.

The only thing that would improve the experience is access to the bar area of the Novotel it is a bit sad that although we took the budget option we were made to feel like second class citizens surely you want extra bar sales, I took my family to the shopping centre and spent over £100

We needed a hotel close to the Euro Tunnel - and this was ideal, perfect location, very easy to find. No restaurant for evenings meals, but literally opposite a Novotel and Ibis were available. We chose Ibis which allowed dogs too. Excellent food, and two mins away from our hotel. Very good stay.

booked as late night stop over having just come through the tunnel room was clean and acceptable buffet breakfast very good value left us ready to hit the french autoroutes first thing on thursday morning

The room was not as clean as it should be and the noise from the water pipes / air conditioning - not sure which - made sleeping virtually impossible. I got up and left at 04:00 AM as I'd had enough. Had there been anybody on reception at that time of night I would have demanded my money back.

We have stayed here before and as a budget hotel it was quite good but this time the room we were put in was 213 and the room was above a function room and cigarette smoke was so strong it was awful to sleep will think twice about staying there again

Travelling from northern England to mid France quite regularly we find Ibis Budget Coquelles the ideal night stop in both directions. Uncertain checkin times pose no problem with the auto checkin to hotel and room, and breakfast next morning sets us up for the second leg of our journey. Good value too.

The room seemed so small! The third bed overhang is dangerous, you wake, rise and hit your head. The shelf inside the entrance door will hit you in the face if you do not take great care. There should be light switches each side of the bed. The breakfast was poor, the coffee was diabolical. The mattress was of very poor quality not much better than sleeping on the boards. It was very noisy, doors banging at 5 in the morning and loud voices throughout the night. Not even the shower gel had been replaced. Smell of smoking throughout our stay. Much better when it was an Etap. Will not be staying again indeed we booked a B & B hotel for our return journey which was great. What about a full refund, bitterly disappointed.

The hotel was very basic but ok except for a smelly and dirty toilet. Whenever the door of the loo was open, there was an aroma of stale urine and the bowl of the toilet was dirty. The bed was comfortable and the room was ok when the loo door was closed. The breakfast was good.

Like most other people I stay there because it's cheap. But it shouldn't be nasty. You are given a key code for your room - mine didn't work. It took 15 minutes to sort it out and I was then given another room that workmen had just finished and the door wouldn't close One tip - don't eat at the nearby Ibis restaurant. I used to say that you can't get a bad meal in France - until I went there. One good point - the breakfast is OK and good value.

A very clean, quiet and easy to reach hotel with plenty of parking room. Easy to check in. Friendly staff. Good balance between quality and price. However: breakfast not very wealthy and tables not clean.

I'm a fan of Ibis Budget, and accept that the Calais Tunnel hotel serves a particular, short-stay, purpose. But this really is not up to scratch. The hotel looks shabby and under-loved; and the room stank of cigarette smoke. There were cobwebs in the room, and the radiator was not up to purpose - we never got the room warm. The door lock played up, and all in all, even though we were only staying one night while waiting for the tunnel crossing, really unimpressed. Sorry, Ibis - needs work

Requested a disability room, however the one allocated had a broken WC which made the bathroom unusable. The main security door was broken so couldn't be locked at night and the main gate never closed. We have used this hotel many times before but will not be returning in future.

Arriving in or leaving France via the Eurotunnel needs to be timed well to catch the booked train. I have twice stayed at the hotels within a stone's throw of the train and the Budget is the easiest, cheapest way to get a good rest and take away the tension around timing. The auto booking-in is a relief from Reception areas. The hotel is well insulated for sound so coming and going at unsocial hours is not a problem. The room is cleverly designed. Mine was brilliantly clean. Astounding value for the convenience.

Lacks any English speaking TV (BBC World not working) Very hard bed, towels washed many many times before (hard) Parking secure-full of police! There are better budget hotels in the area offering more for a lower price. Shop around.

Great location, close to "Cite de Europe" room was clean and staff helpful. Lots of places to eat close by and just off the main road. We did not have breakfast although this was available at extra cost.

Very clean hotel. Great value for money. The Location being right next to eurotunel is so convienient which makes it perfect for a travelers just wanting a basic hotel. Staff pleasant too. The only request is that the towels need to be bigger 😊

We recently had a very good stay in Calais at the ibis budget hotel. The staff were very nice and helpful, the room was adequate, the position was very good. We also felt very secure as, at lest a couple of hundred police were stationary at the hotel car park.

You'd think they could have checked that the seat was attached when it was cleaned. Maybe they couldnt be bothered to fix it. The hotel is close to the tunnel, but having stayed there, I think I'll bother to go slightly further next time.

The location - in the shopping/cinema centre of Cite Europe, is fine if you like that sort of thing. Basically it's just handy for a later arrival or early departure from/to Calais. Breakfast the Ibis Budget standard - but we were not keen on the all plastic plates and cups. Staff friendly and helpful. The staff make all the difference, don't they? Hence Service score of Excellent. Wifi ok too.
