You'd think they could have checked that the seat was attached when it was cleaned. Maybe they couldnt be bothered to fix it. The hotel is close to the tunnel, but having stayed there, I think I'll bother to go slightly further next time.

The location - in the shopping/cinema centre of Cite Europe, is fine if you like that sort of thing. Basically it's just handy for a later arrival or early departure from/to Calais. Breakfast the Ibis Budget standard - but we were not keen on the all plastic plates and cups. Staff friendly and helpful. The staff make all the difference, don't they? Hence Service score of Excellent. Wifi ok too.

Easy booking process, good price, excellent facilities, friendly and polite staff, breakfast fresh and plentiful could not ask for better. Hotel very conveniently situated if going to Cite Europe, it's within easy walking distance

Stayed in 2 different rooms in this month. Both not considered clean and all facilities not working. LED lighting not operational. No non-French TV stations working. Toilet walls dirty. Breakfast not bad but area very crowded.

A great economic hotel to stay when using Eurotunnel. Rooms clean and comfortable all of the staff are pleasant and polite. Parking must be the most secure in France! There are good restaurants in the area for evening meals and the breakfast at the Ibis Budget is adequate to keep you going until lunch.

The budget Ibis sous La Manche is easy to find & easy to use. I'd booked in online before arrival, had received a gate code for parking, a code for entry to hotel if I was delayed and no concierge on duty. I arrived on time, my I was welcomed at the desk, my passport scanned and a room card given to me in a shorter time than it took me to type this! Room was just what I needed, everything clean, fresh and a comfy bed. No complications, which is what any traveller wants. Breakfast was just as easy and good value. I've used this hotel before and will use it again. I know what I want and the Ibis delivers

Great location, clean and tidy budget hotel Breakfast buffet fine Basic but clean rooms and shower fone Handy for Carrefour hypermarket and last or first day shopping Early check in from midday handy if trevelled through night Loads of parking available

I booked this for my girlfriend who had later joined me in Bollezelle for a surprise 80th birthday party for my mother. I expected a simple but honest standard as compared to our experience at IBIS Budget Alicante back in July. How wrong was I ! Graffiti on lift doors and a general sense of neglect compared to IBIS Budget Alicante. To cap it all my girlfriend also suffered a Tick bight on her right knee while she was in the bed!! I will continue to use the IBIS brand as I am a loyal Accor customer of several years but will somebody at IBIS HQ please get this particular IBIS Budget hotel sorted out as you are defiling the whole IBIS brand by such terrible standards.

We use this as a stop over when arriving and leaving France. We have always found it clean and the staff pleasant and helpful. The only downside is that when it is hot there is no air conditioning and opening the windows is out of the question due to mosquitos. With air conditioning I would have rated it 5 star.

We had two family rooms with our family & their children. They had a 3rd floor room with a broken window catch so couldn't leave the window open, so had a hot & uncomfortable night with lack of fresh air

After nearly 5 years of not travelling to France (due to illness) we decided to take the plunge again. We have been to Coquelles on many occasions in various hotels, Ibis Budget is close to Citie Europe with its array of eating places, our minds were made up so we did it !!

Good location, but room was dirty with balls of fluff gathered under the bed which must have taken days to accumulate, when reception staff notified following morning a shrug of the shoulders and sorry was the response.

My wife and Myself stayed at the IBIS BUDGET HOTEL in COQUELLES FRANCE on the night of the 7th of June for one night. We checked in with the receptionist .We were in bed when a man let himself into our room using the access code he had been given in the Hotel Lobby after 10.00 pm. He stated we were in his room. We said we were given this room and access code by reception just after 6.00pm. He said sorry and left to use the phone. We went back to bed. Some time later a member of staff turned up demanding to know how we had got into the room. We told him this was the room we were given by the receptionist with the access code. He then demanded to see our paperwork included our booking confirmation and the paperwork from the receptionist. This was in our car so I had to dress properly and go to our car and get the papers. They were in the car because I hadn't expect to need them again as we had already checked in. I went into the hotel and looked for the member of staff that had asked for them. I couldn't find him. He eventually arrived and demanded the papers so that he could make a copy. He said he was sorry but it must have been a software problem. He would report it to the boss who would see us in the morning. Of course he did not. Why could someone else get into our room using our access code, how could he open the door, which was locked and what would have happened if it had been a female on her own? Door locking chains should be fitted to all doors as a matter of urgency as it is not safe.

The room appeared not to have been cleaned properly, there was dust and fluff around the window and across the floor. The toilet seat was loose and moved about when needing to be used. As an Accor Hotels Member with, I am told, a valid member number, when ever I attempt to make a reservation I am told my number is not recognised

clean and tidy, nobody on reception when we arrived so we used automated system but no paper in machine to print off receipts or room number, got to room and got what we expected cheap and cheerful, the room looked run down and aged we went out for a meal when we came back we and realized the toilet seat was broken and no one to report it to, we left early the next morning after a noisy night from other inconsiderate guests so again we saw no one to report the problems to, disappointing

We have stayed here many times with family, in the past everything has been fine. This time the rooms were neglected and dirty, the floor was covered in piles of dust and dirt The toilet seat was detached from the toilet bowl, when we mentioned this to one of the men he said it wasn't broken, just needed refixing and tightening up. We do not carry tools to fix this sort of stuff nor should we have to. This must have been obvious when/if the room was last cleaned The shower in the room that my daughter and husband occupied was terrible, it needed a good clean. It is a shame because it is in a good position to visit Cite Europe on foot. We appreciate that this is a budget hotel but that does not excuse lack of basic cleanliness and maintenance. I very much doubt that we will be visiting again!

Stayed overnight to catch freey next morning Ventilation shaft was too noisy could not sleep properly Nearby MacDonald very good service and good salad made while I waited top marks Standard room same as other budget ibis I stayed in

Usually stay in the Ibis but it was fully booked so opted for the cheaper option on the same site. Staff excellent and cost is good value for money as long as you are not expecting any extras. Some shabbiness of paintwork appearing here and a heater in the room which did not work but overall good value for money

When travelling over for a quick trip to Carrefour and Cite Europe we always stay in this hotel. Good value, ideally situated and bed and linen very good quality. Room has a television but we have not yet found an English channel but it is good to watch the sport. For the money you have a comfortable bed, good quality bed linen and your own shower and toilet - always a bonus not to have to share as with some other budget hotels.

This is a good standard of Ibis Budget hotels with plenty of car parking space. It is just a short walk from Citi Europe and a short drive from Eurotunnel and the Ferries. The hotel has recently been refurbished and is 'good' for an Ibis Budget.
