The Ibis budget was a good, clean and very friendly hotel, the staff were particularly good. However, we arrived at Ibis Brisbane airport, who said they didn't know where this other Ibis Budget was it had nothing to do with them, they had no contact details.I have yet to find an Ibis that accepts loyalty points ( 4 down and counting) and yet to find any 'deal' that comes through from Ibis. Time to change I am afraid.
no room service. tiny little thing of milk. food was expensive for what you got. The two pillows that were supplied were very high and not soft enough to sink in to avoid stiff neck, so only got about three hours sleep. Finding the place was not easy, no signs for those who dont know the area.
Paid for breakfast in room cost but due to flight change they wouldnt give us anything the night before to take to snack on, nor refund. Very small rooms and very outdated. Would only stay as a last resort in Brisbane.
Surprisingly quiet being so close to Gateway Motorway. As a budget overnight stay I would thoroughly recommend the Ibis for its convenience with an excellent shuttle service (my departure was 4.30 am). Basic but clean with vending machines and microwave for the frozen meals that were available. Bed was comfortable and shower hot, my only gripe was no hair shampoo
friendly and helpful reception staff. Rooms clean and comfortable. Can highly recommend the coffee and muffins in the morning and the delivery food 'menu' available at the hotel is good -- we had the pizza-- delicious!!!!
The location is great if you are going to the airport. Room was small but enough room for two people staying for 1 night. The only downside was breakfast only started at 7am - too late to catch my flight
hi i recently booked a night at ibis brisbane airairp and what a debacle. We werent allowed to check in early so that ruin the night and we had to fofeit the room and wasted $126. When we arrived the female manager was rude and disrectful because we wanted early check in, instead of letting us have our room we booked she said we could stay in tbe foyer till check in which was sum 10 hours away and we were so tired we left and ended up sleeping in our vehicle. We tried to contact the motel itself and accor for a refund but its been 8 days and still no reply.
Very basic hotel, even though very clean room and facilites; no lift (so prepare to carry your own luggage a lot of stairs to your room). Very basic breakfast, no staff at all. Googlemapped the hotel and this was absolutely unhelpful; no updated location?
The hotel was quiet, clean and provided ample parking. The location provided easy access to the airport and other major motorways. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to DFO, a grocery outlet and a gym.
the airport shuttle which was supposed to take 5 minutes took 50 minutes to arrive / the hotel (designed for air travelers with luggage) has no elevator / the rooms are tiny and over priced / breakfast sucked
stayed one night july and one night september. Results the same. Room very noisy, building lacks the ability to dampen noises in passage. Basically no sleep obtained. Bathroom very basic but adequate. By the time you pay the shuttle cost it is more cost effective to go to one of the other more expensive hotels closer to airport. Service good, Very clean.
In general is a good quality/value hotel. Is just annoying that they charge for absolutely every little extra, even water.. ahh. and It doesn't have an elevator, so be prepared to carry your heavy suitcases up and down the stairs.
Had to go and ask for a bath mat as they are only given on request?????? Which is totally wrong as water everywhere and no bath mat, also needed to get 2 extra pillows for the bed. Also they need to start using pillow protectors on there pillows.
Very nice and cheap, close to airport and loved the shuttle bus. Don't get a taxi to the motel, arrange the shuttle bus. It will be a lot cheaper. Also take into consideration that there is no lift. But it wasn't a problem for me. You could ask for a ground floor room.
If youve ever wondered what its like to stay in a 50yr old hospital with lawnmower powered aircon then this is the motel for you. Id rather sleep in the car than stay here again. $109 for a night for an old hospital room, no lift, a bathroom that had a broken showerhead and made a puddle in the entire bathroom when you use it. Sitting on the toilet with your feet both in 1cm of water, like a foot bidet, providing the convenience of a foot spa to wind down for the day before you retire to bed to listen to the diesel powered box aircon.
It could have been much better if telephone calls had been returned as requested so that I could have altered my booking. Not good for people with heavy luggage. An hotel with no lift is now a "no no" for me.
this is the perfect location for that early morning flight. Great value for money, clean tidy rooms, restful sleep and close enough to the city for an evening out. And to top it all off great friendly and informative staff.
This was my second stay with the Ibis Brisbane Airport. The hotel is a no frills property that is close to the airport, has ample parking on site, is clean, friendly and great value for the money. There were plenty of snacks and meals available in the many vending machines and a microwave etc in the dining / breakfast room. If you want value for money and close to the airport - this is the place to stay!
Very functional for family; couple plus toddler. Cheap breakfast suitable for all, excellent and timely shuttle to domestic and international airports. Short walk to a good taeaway, and other suitable order in if you dont want to go out. Staff friendly and knowledgable and efficient
Worst night sleep in along time. Very noisy, people talking in corridor at 3am and 4am. Hard bed, dirty towels, leaking kettle and room very small . Would not stay again. Staff friendly but didn't offer much sympathy when I explained what little sleep I got due to the noise .
