The hotel is situated in a great place, the receptionists could speak very good English and were very helpful where they could be, but the down sides were that although it is a non smoking building people still seems to think they could smoke out of their room window, so leaving ours open meant that you got the smell of smoke, I think it would help to have smoke detectors in the rooms near the window and saying if you smoke even with the window the alarms will go off, The beds were very hard, but aside from that it was very clean.
Good parking lot. Nice and clean room. Staff friendly as usual. I will continue to enjoy Ibis hospitality as this is a good cost benefit relation. The breakfast was also nice with local products and fruit to take away.
a very clean modem hotel with restaurant attached electric vehicle recharging available. you used to be able to pay hotel and restaurant bill on leaving but restaurant must be paid there and then. comfortable beds
Comfortable but the aircon was OK but not very good as there was a slight smell of stale air mixed with cigarette smoke grim the rooms which allowed smoking. We will be there again on our return so will be able to check. Very attentive staff and secure overnight parking.
I've stayed here so many times that I find it hard to find anything new or exciting to say. The accommodation is no less than you would expect from Ibis Budget and while it stays like it is, I will keep using it.
Its a bit of a drive from the ferry port 20 mins but worth-it clean and recently updated the French double beds are king-size and unlike UK hotels dogs are welcome did not use the restaurant due to arriving on the afternoon departure from Portsmouth just wish the life was a little bigger for us bags and dogs good nights sleep and access to the ring road to head anywhere you want
In general very good and a shower instead of bath usually found in French hotels. Hotel being refurbished and a few rough edges need finishing (bathroom door would not fully close etc.). Not keen on combustible materials being stored at the bottoms of the two stair wells. Very handy as a touring base.
We have stayed here many times and have never been disappointed. From the friendly welcome , clean rooms. Restaurant nearby great location for ferry home or onward journey no road noise. Many thanks see you next time
Lovely clean room and bathroom, staff very helpful and polite, would of liked the facilities to make a cup of tea in the room as it was late when we arrived and it should of been made clearer that there were 2 Ibis hotels in very close proximity as this was confusing
First time at this one, we liked it alot. Nice welcome, free nuts with the beer. Used the Restaurant, menu OK, very busy on a saturday evening so order early. breakfast very good, enjoyed the food on offer, nice relaxing time before the drive to the ferry. Our dog was OK, pleanty of places to walk Forgot France is closed on a Sunday, was looking to buy goodies to bring home, no worries going back very soon.
we stayed here and it was very bad,the bed was creaking all night with every move, the fan in the toilet ran all night with a smell of other toilets ,when i complained i was offered 10% off my next booking which is about 3.5 euros.i e mailed to ask if i could change my booking to the ibis and had no reply so we went to the b&b hotel much better
for a budget hotel this is very good plenty of secure parking and the New style rooms separate toilet and shower The bed is not up to ibis standards and the third bed was not made up. one thing which stands out is the lack of air conditioning and this makes a choice of traffic noise or hot room. but still much better than the one at tours
Hotel room itself fine but situated next to the road leading to McDonalds which is open until midnight and has young people racing their cars along the road. Then a coach party arrived at 00h30 so not a peaceful experience. Nowhere to sit for breakfast so went elsewhere to eat. Not great.
Room is good and clean. Toilet OK. The reception is friendly and speaks also English. WiFi is free and reliable. Big Parking lot and is free. The only disadvantage is the beverage machine don't sell beer.
Stayed here for one night. Have stayed in ibis hotels many many times before. The staff here were rude and off hand on arrival, got the feeling it was because we we british. The bed was perhaps the most uncomfortable I have ever, (was going to slept on) layed on. Corridor was full of cobwebbs and there was the most massive spider ever on the wall of the room, which we did not fancy sharing with. The restuarant nearby was very good and we had a nice meal there with a 15% discount as a hotel "guest". TOP TIP....Pay more and stay somewhere better with friendly staff
Pros. Good budget hotel. Room clean but tiny. Convenient for port - 20min drive. McDonalds and restaurant adjacent. secure overnight car parking. Will use again. Cons. Bath towels are small and very thin. No bath mat either.
Excellent location if you're making a stop-over to break up a long drive. Restaurant in the Ibis nearby is great for an evening meal and hotel breakfast is fine - though we were disappointed to find the coffee is now from a machine rather than the pots we used to get at the Etap! With a petrol station virtually next door, it's got all you need - simple but does the job.
More than adequate at a very acceptable price. Slept really well in a very quiet location on the main route to Rennes. Breakfast up to the usual good Ibis standard. In summary an ideal stop over centre for Brittany, the Vendee & further south.
A good place to stop-over after late night arrival of Brittany Ferry from Portsmouth at 22.00 hrs. Very convenient for an early morning start when heading west to Brittany -alternative was to drive straight home and arrive at about 02.00 in the morning and then to unpack! Breakfast for under six euros each.
Excellent location, easy to find. Check in easy and breakfast very good. room could have been a bit cleaner but very well equipped for an overnight stay. we would all stay again and would not hesitate to recommend it.
