The place is what you'd expect. Enough for a good night sleep and a hot shower, nothing to complain about. The person in the desk wasn't nice or helpful. I get it, there's not supposed to be a lot of human interaction in these places, but some basic cordiality and helpfulness never hurts. They locked us out of our rooms before the checkout time. What's the need for that?

This hotel was clean comfortable and the staff where very friendly. The room's are cleaned to a high fanfare. The breakfast in the morning was excellent. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. Well worth the money.

There is an external heating plant that sounds like you are sleeping next to a jet engine testing facility that pumps hot air into your room even if you turn the heating off. No sleep at all!!! Not recommended regardless of the price

The hotel itself was ok, clean and basic as you would expect. We arrived after 9pm and used the automatic entry system, worked ok. The a/c however barely worked and switched off at 11pm, we had a very very uncomfortable night! So get to the hotel before 9pm and check the a/c works and is not switched off later!

Very good value, have used Ibis Budget before, first time in Pau, will use again. Room larger than expected. Breakfast very good, French sticks very fresh. One small niggle, no where to eat within walking distance

The room was small but adequate and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful and the Wi-Fi was good. Several places to eat nearby. Plenty of parking but it is not secure and the day we were there the car park was full of white vans so obviously a good hotel and location for working people to stay in.

We have stayed in several Ibis Budget hotels and this is one of the best. Clean throughout with friendly helpful staff. There are also several restaurants and a shopping centre within walking distance.

Apart from the rock-hard bed I'd rate this higher, reasonable location, just off the motorway & close to a few other budget hotels. I didn't manage to spot the do not disturb door hanger on my first night so had housekeeping knocking on my door a little too early. Also the heating/cooling system doesn't have an off-switch for those who can't handle the noise of it. Plenty of parking spaces at the hotel. unfortunately the bed mattress was only 2-3" thick & placed on a solid base, so it was rock hard. I even contemplated taking the mattress off the bunkbed to provide some extra cushioning. But all in all you get what you paid for, a decent basic motel.

A pleasant and comfortable hotel, situated a little out of town. The rooms were looking a little tired, but beds were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good value. Plenty of good parking. Helpful and pleasant receptionist.

It's a good hotel to stay just for sleeping one night (very small room, very small window, but nice clean bed and clean wc and shower). Good value for the money if you just want to sleep one night while traveling (which was our case).

the hotel was very good the only thing is we came from Spain and the directions were not good we called into a petrel station to ask the way and a very kind French man took us to the front door but apart from that we had a good stay so pleased we have booked a return visit

We booked a room in an IBIS-budget hotel instead of in a F1-hotel, because the rooms in IBIS-budget offer air conditioning. Once arrived it appeared that the room was hot, a little bit of air was blown in the room, but you could only feel it if you were holding your hand right in front of the grille. When I went down to the reception, the explanation was as follows: the system of the hotel is on 24°C, we cannot make it 19°C. I think we certainly had 30°C in the room and it was even on the shadowside of the hotel. Second explanation: you are 3 persons in the room, too much for the system. So it was a triple room, I never heard this was a problem for an airco system. Moreover the person at the desk was not kind at all telling me this. She just wanted me to go. When you want to take a shower, you go from the room directly in the shower. So you have to undress and dry in the room, there is not really a bath room. Therefore this was my last stay in IBIS-budget and it will remain my last too. Next time I will look for another type of hotel.

We used this hotel as an overnight stop whilst traveling through France to Spain. Although the hotel is a little outside of the main town, there are plenty of amenity's around, ie cafes and supermarkets. As always with Ibis the staff were friendly and helpful. All in all, a very pleasant stay.

Easy to find, rooms have been refurbished with hidden lighting and new shower rooms, etc,. Breakfast good value, plenty of choice, again refitted recently. We can highly recommend this on all services.
