Friendly service, clean budget hotel with a surprisingly large breakfast choice. We booked a triple room (single bunk bed over a double bed) and it more spacious than we expected. The parking fee is nominal and the location of the hotel is excellent: 500 metres from the city centre, right next to a Carrefour and public transport and right next to the coast. I didn't give it a 5-star rating because our bed and bathroom door squeaked a lot and because we were only given 2 towels instead of 3. Nothing bad enough to complain to the staff about, as you can see :-)

Convenient for the Channel Tunnel. Secure and safe parking. Within easy walking distant of the Centre Ville and all amenities. A nearby hypermarche and petrol station completed the picture. Staff were helpful and polite.

It's important to have sensible expectations when booking these ultra budget hotels. I've stayed here several times, and am happy to save money on a single overnight stay, for a very basic room. I did get the impression this year, that the rooms are getting tired though. Cleanliness was okay, but a lick of paint is needed before the place starts to look shabby rather than just basic. Be aware that paying 4euro to use what appears to be a secure car park, doesn't buy security. The coded electric gate is to prevent other cars coming in. Anyone can walk into it via a pedestrian path, so don't leave valuables in your vehicle.

As budget hotels go Bolougne Sur Mer IBIS Budget Hotel provides a good clean comfortable experience and is well located to the town and port for shops restaurants and bars. Secure Off-road parking is available for a nominal fee, making it an ideal stop over for late or early cross channel ferries or Euro Tunnel. Optional breakfast is also available. Reception area has vending machines for tea coffee etc.

Everything was in order, but I was a little surprised at being charged for parking. Most of your customers will arrive in a vehicle, so this is in effect a price increase. I don't have anything else to say, so either accept this or forget it.

This is a standard Ibis Budget - basic but quiet and comfortable. The location is very good - close to the old town with lots of restaurants and also close to the seafront. Parking on the street outside is free. We have visited several times and found the staff friendly and helpful.

The hotel is well located to walk into the old town. It has a good large (open-gates not closed) car park. Hotel is in reasonable condition and the rooms are a good size. There is no lift in the hotel.

Clean comfortable and well placed. Friendly staff. Secure car parking. No point at all in paying more for an overnight stay 30 mins from Calais Have stayed here many times and will do again in the future

In this hotel everything is pared down to the bone, although all the basic facilities are present. Stark bedroom. Good coffee, but otherwise breakfast is limited. Parking is available but access to it isn't automatic - partly that is because of roadworks in front of the hotel.

We've used this hotel a lot in the past. It's very handy for centre of town a short walk away. Also has it's own car park, although unfortunately they now charge for it. It's still handy though. Rooms are adequate, a double bed plus a bunk bed, almost homely! Breakfast is adequate at 6 euros. Very friendly staff. And peaceful considering it's central position.

Positives: - Clean and tidy room - Kind and friendly attendant - Secure parking Negatives: - price which was significantly more then the equivalent in the UK. - no lift. - secure parking was available but cost extra and was locked on arrival meaning we had to find parking on the road in the first instance.

Rooms/breakfast o/k but parking causes a problem. I had to wait in the car in a bus lay-by whilst my wife had to check in and pay the whole bill, including the €4 car park fee before I could drive into the gated car park. Previously we had been able to pay the €4, put the car in the car park and then check in and pay the bill.

A good budget hotel at fair price for facilities. Perfectly good room - good shower. No lift which makes it difficult for older clients to carry suitcases up two flights of stairs. Car Parking next to hotel at 4 Euro per night in gated compound. Breakfast was normal 'continental' with basic fare on offer - average value. Wifi OK. The main reason for the 3 star rating was the customer service received prior to visit - it took numerous phone calls and e mails plus Facebook posts to elicit where the parking was and the cost - the customer service of the Accor/Novotel/Ibis group needs a radical overhaul!

We find this a very convenient hotel near the ports at a reasonable price. Basic but clean. A pity they have introduced a charge for the car park but there is parking outside. Quiet except for the gulls. Choice at breakfast but not great quality.

Overnight stay. Convenient location- easy to find. Up to excellent Ibis Budget standard. Family room includes bunk and extra single bed. However secure parking is not automatic. Not sure how you would book it but it was full of security vehicles belonging to someone else. Few spaces for hotel. There is free parking on the street outside and it was plentiful. Slightly more expensive than other similar Ibis hotels which probably reflects convenience for ferry ports and wasn't given the option on line to select a non-flexile rate which would have been cheaper..

We as a couple have stayed quite a few times over the years and still really like the place. As the name implies it's a budget hotel, but has everything you need including a car park. Breakfast is basic but ok. Staff very pleasent, not that you see them very much anyway. Recommend it.

I don't know if I should write this, but you will find it on Trip Adviser anyway! I was greeted in the middle of a building project which was occurring outside the hotel. Roads closed etc. We went to reception to be greeted by a woman who couldn't speak a word of English(the international language), my wife (Thai) can speak it so why can't she? She was so rude it was unbelievable. I am waiting for a knee replacement so can't walk up stairs, she didn't care, upstairs you go she said. NO LIFT, not in brochure!!! Next, my daughter 21 years old, comes back to the hotel at 10.30pm because my wife and I were talking with friends, and the new receptionist, again speaking no English, asks for her ID, my daughter produces her driving licence, to prove she is 21. The receptionist, plays with her calculator and says she is not 21! Says she cannot come into the hotel, I await your comments to this, driving licence for my daughter available if you want to see it, and hospital report for my knee replacement also available if you wish to see. Your comments please. I work for IBM and travel a lot on business, so good luck with this one!!!

My first stay in a Ibis Budget brand and very happy with the offering. As the name suggests it is basic no frills accommodation but very clean and tidy and provides all you need for an overnight stay. The staff were very welcoming and helped with the needs of grandkids (aged 3 & 4) who I was travelling with. Interesting designed bunk bed in the room but did the trick .

Hotel is in town, with their own parking -- simple hotel - it was a weekend and I wanted an early breakfast, which was immediately available and organized for the night staff. - the rooms are quiet, no traffic noise

Basic but clean and an entertaining man on reception even though he had clearly had a few to drink (mid afternoon check in). Shower head kept falling out of the cradle but alas it was warm and worked. Ideal location to walk into centre and up the hil to the old town.
