The hotel is in need of a refurbishment, as it is starting to look dated. When I visited the lift wasn't working, although I was offered a lower floor room had I been unable to manage the stairs. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and the room clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good value for money. Overall a good stay. Just what I needed.

Staff made us very welcome from reception staff to cleaners. Room nice and clean. The only drawback is that you have to park at the local shopping centre, the staff were very good giving us a map and cost.

An overnight stay prior to a meeting next day. Room standard Ibis decor very comfortable bed and quiet, one of the bedside shelves was missing and reported next day. Also the standard information indicted that newspapers could be ordered but no-one on reception knew anything about this. The breakfast area was small and there wern't enough tables at 8.30am but food was OK. Note there is no parking at the hotel but staff helpfully suggested where the nearest was at the public pay car park for the Prince's Quay shopping centre about 5-8 minutes walk away fortunately we only had overnight luggage. Convenient for city centre

Stayed for one night arrived about 9pm. if you are arriving in the car be prepared to leave the car at the multi storey car park down the road..we were a couple but I wouldn't have felt safe doing the car parking and walking through the car park / back streets if I'd been on my own. Hotel clean and had everything I needed albeit obviously basic...could've done with a socket next to the mirror for drying hair! Bar/ restaurant area could have done with some bettter furniture.....bright red plastic, and bright lights was a bit 'youth hostel' - bar prices weren't!! - £9.20 for2 drinks.. That said I was impressed that we could get hot food until 10 pm

I would recomend this hotel to anyone. It is well situated, within walking distance of the rail station, and all places of interest, culture, shopping ,resturants, pubs and cafes in Hull. The hotel is brilliant, the rooms are spacious and very clean. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The important feature I particularily liked, was that no non residents can enter the lift,to gain access to the room corridors- makes you feel very safe and secure, especially as a lone woman!! I definetely stay there again. Thankyou for a pleasant time!

I bought 2 nights for my dad's birthday. My parents loved the hotel and as they travelled by train the location was ideal. My mum was particularly impressed with how comfortable the bed was. I booked online and checked in online, both which were easy to do.

The room was small but adequate and although it was on the ground floor next to a busy road and right by the door leading from reception to all bedrooms - noise was not a problem. The bed was OK but the pillows were too hard/high. The bathroom was small and the ventilation inadequate - after 2 showers the ceiling was dripping with condensation. Breakfast was basic, and the second morning particularly, the cooked food had clearly been prepared much earlier and was dry and unappetising. Two buckets in the dinning area catching leaks from the roof suggested poor maintenance. The experience was underwhelming and I would not chose to stay there again.

Helpful and friendly staff. Comfortable & quiet rooms. Superb location. The breakfast was okay, but not the best. The bar is open late, which is a bonus. There's no parking on site (despite the website saying there is), but there's a 24 hour multi storey car park nearby which is fairly cheap.

The staff were excellent, they were so helpful. Good location and lovely room. Breakfast was very good value for the price we paid. We will definitely be staying here again. The only drawback was lack of onsite parking

Booked this hotel as we were attending a concert at the KCOM stadium. The hotel was in a convenient, quiet location. The stadium was about a 20 minute walk away. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean.

Nice hotel but hotel admin not good. booked 2 rooms for 4 adults all prepaid but at what should have been express checkout incorrect room bills as all credit put to 1 room. took time to sort out. not very good

The welcome here was not ideal, there is no car park and getting someone to tell me where I should park took a while. Add to this that ne of the pillow cases was stained then thee trip did not start well. However, things did get better after this and in the end we enjoyed the trip.

I was warmly welcomed and there was even a welcome card and bar of really nice chocolate in the room just because I am a Gold card holder. The room was well appointed and clean. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was fine, although I admit to preferring fried eggs rather than scrambled.

Ibis Hull is conveniently located for the City centre. Parking is a bit of a bind in the nearby shopping centre - but its cheap. Best to pull up outside the hotel and unload. All staff are extremely friendly and cant do enough to help. Only downside is that the hotel is looking a bit tired round the edges. Breakfast is brilliant!

The service was excellent. The staff were welcoming and went beyond standard service levels to be helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and included healthy options such as fresh fruit. The light evening meal that we had was convenient and served promptly, allowing us to eat before visiting the theatre. The menu included some healthy and vegetarian options. The hotel is well located for the city centre. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Shame about drunken louts banging the hell out of a nearby room door at 2am. Went on for ages, no sign of security staff. I reported it to reception in the morning... "thanks for letting me know but security didn't hear it"... Well they are either liars or deaf.

as always friendly welcome, very helpful rooms clean and tidy ideal for short city break. idealy based for every thing in hull, train station, deep, shopping and museums. great all you can eat breakfast, bar and evening meal av if want on

It was perfectly ok as a base for a few days in Hull to explore the 2017 city of culture. Good points - welcoming reception staff, worked hard to enable us to keep our room and not move when we added an extra night. Breakfast was alright, nice bread, but no change of cold meats, cheese or fruit each day. Housekeeping - on the last night no-one had bothered to make the bed properly; they'd just pulled the cover up. On another day the coffee mugs weren't washed. On another water beakers weren't replaced. It may be a budget Ibis but these things matter.

This trip was for a family emergency, and our trip to England was totally unplanned. The staff at the Ibis went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. There was a few occasions when help was needed, which was not part of there normal service, help was given. Staff went above and beyond to make sure that all our needs were met. I respect the extra help the hotel gave use service wise, would not be given to everyone, I will not say what they were, so a precedence is not set, however, I humbly thank everyone at the Ibis Hotel. Linda, Lucy, Lisa, and the amazing singing house keeping lady (Janet?), are articular people who stand out, though everyone, it was impossible to remember everyone"s name, you are amazing. I thoroughly recommend this hotel It may be considered a Budget Hotel, but the service is definitely a 5 star in my opinion. Our 2 week stay felt like home away from home. Thank you Ibis.

Clean comfortable room, good powerful shower, excellent central location close to the train station & K-Com football stadium, extremely friendly helpful staff & great value at the price. Very enjoyable stay.
