Central hotel next to good pubs and restaurants.Romms comfortable, quiet and clean.Came for races. They were postponed but we still had a good weekend.Rooms nice and quiet and had two dood nights sleep.

As regular guests at the Ibis Carlisle, we are accustomed to the best of service. That is what we received yet again. We had a short stay having been warmly welcomed like old friends. Our room was spotless. Next morning we enjoyed a hearty breakfast compromising between the healthy and traditional options. We will be back soon!

This centrally situated hotel provides an excellent base for visiting the area or a convenient overnight stop between England and Scotland. Staff are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are comfortable. Eating out is simple as there are lots of options within easy walking. Good car park at the rear.

From the free parking, central location, easy check in to the comfy bed & buffet breakfast all at a very good price what’s not to like, my only hotel of choice for a couple of nights in carlisle good food and drink nearby and a cinema opposite

I say there one night in december, and the room was very cold, I complained about the issue and I did recieve my full refund, I would recommend stayin in a ibis as the room was very clean apart from heating issue but am assured that this will be fixed for when i stkl again

We have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions and it always exceeds our expectations. From check in to standard of room friendliness of staff quality of breakfast and overall a feeling of being a valued guest. This is probably one of the best IBIS hotels in the country. Many other establishments would struggle to meet these standards.

I have been staying at the Ibis in Carlisle for several years. This stay the bathroom had not been cleaned, hair in the shower from the previous occupant. The carpet was "bobbled" all over, Accor needs to spend money in the right places instead of focusing on the reception area- I am not a fan of the changes, especially the rough bed looks unwashed. I only stay here because of the staff but taking away the reception and having them roam around the bar area, has detracted not added to the ambience. Disappointing.

Excellent inexpensive hotel. Very clean. Good value. Have stayed several times and will return. Recommend the Woodrow Wilson pub (Weatherspoons) just over the road - including good value for breakfast!

Nice hotel with friendly and welcoming staff. Room was good size and facilities were good and a comfortable bed. Breakfast was a varied selection of hot and cold foods. Very close to city centre with all its attractions and a short walk to railway station.

staff very professional but also friendly as is typical of our Cumbrian neighbours. The car park was ideal given the city centre location. There is some sort of night club / lap dancing set up near the rear of the hotel which didn't bother me and wasn't particularly noisy but may not be ideal for some families. didn't have time to use facilities offered by the hotel so i cant comment on them.

Location was okay we walked straight in to the city centre, staff was very good and hotel room was clean although I expected to have a room with a bigger space.Parking was for free during our stay keep it up.

Another very happy stay with our friends at Carlisle Ibis. Always cheerful and helpful - thank you! The hotel was pleasant and clean as usual - we've got used to the refurb now! - still not sure about the removal of phones from the bedrooms: could be useful in emergency, especially for us "oldies" who can fumble with a mobile.

Carlisle IBIS has a great central location, close to the train station, and with bars & restaurants on the doorstep. Car parking is sometimes difficult as the IBIS shares parking with a few other local businesses, so get there early. Carpets are a bit threadbare in the rooms, and could do with being replaced. Bathrooms are clean and functional with large shower area. Tea/coffee facilities in room, but no biscuits....Tut tut IBIS. Would I come back - Definitely

I was recently up in Carlisle as I have done in recent years and have always stated at this hotel as for me it has the best location. The showers and rooms are always spot on . The food is good and the staff are always friendly and helpful and make you feel welcome. It's always good to see the same faces there as well. Thank you team at Ibis Carlisle. See you next year!

The hotel was clean and comfortable but the service from the staff was haphazard and we were pounced on when going for breakfast as though we had not paid. I was also asked for a donation for our bags being held after checkout

Good location right in the heart of Carlisle and welcoming staff.Large rear car park and City Centre position right on your doorstep.Quiet and comfortable bed allow for a great nights sleep with a more than adequate breakfast awaiting.

I received quick polite service upon arriving at the hotel. The room was clean, warm and quiet room. The ibis hotel is located centrally in the busy centre of town; with good public transport links to and from.

The hotel itself and staff were OK. The location is terrible. It is right in the pub/nightclub district with crowds of people in the street smoking and loud noise late into the night. Worst part of the experience was someone trying persistently to get into our room at about midnight (presumably drunk) when we were asleep and the hotel provides no house phone to summon help.

'Does what it says on the tin". I thought that the staff were particularly charming and helpful. I note that a reviewer felt disappointed because of the noise from stag and/or hen parties along the road. This might be a variable factor. The pubs and take-aways were busy on the Friday night I stayed, but not unduly noisy, and it settled down by mid-night.

I stayed 3 nights. It was very close to station and the centre of the town with all the main attractions. Room was compact & spotless, bed very comfortable, bathroom excellent. The breakfast was great- with lots of choice and all the staff wereriendly and very helpful.
