This will be my second visit to Porto and each time my friend and I have stayed at Ibis Porto Centro because its location is easy to find and reach by Metro -just 16 stops from the aeroporto !!! We find the Portuguese people very very welcoming and helpful and they cannot do enough to make sure that visitors have their questions and concerns answered asap and that their visit is a success and enjoyable in every way. We will return to this wonderful, progressive city in which we feel very comfortable and relaxed and happy. I am even trying to learn Portuguese so that I can communicate more with these lovely people. the ibis Porto Centro is clean, functional, in a good location and the staff are helpful and hospitable. phyllis

Spent the week at this hotel. Rooms were typical IBIS rooms - functional and clean. Not huge, but more than big enough for my needs. There is a big supermarket underneath the hotel so very easy to get any supplies. Walk into the main square is about 10-15 minutes downhill, and there are local buses running close to the hotel if you don't want to walk back up (301, 305, 801 etc all come uphill, 302 downhill). if you don't want to walk down to the main bar area in town then there are some nice local restaurants and bars near to hotel as well. Breakfast was available until 12 midday and was varied. Coffee, juices and fresh fruit. Cereals, cold meats and cheeses, a few different breads, plus pastries. All the bread and pastries seemed to be baked on the premises, as I saw bread and croissants being baked. Personally I would have liked a boiled egg to mix it up a bit, but what was available was more than sufficient for most people. Reception and breakfast staff were friendly. Apart from breakfast I didn't eat in the restaurant so have no feedback. They did do a drinks 2 for 1 Happy Hour at the bar until 8pm.

The Ibis is a good central hotel in Porto, easy to get to from the airport and easy to walk from down to the Cathedral to start the Camino. Good room, nice staff and good breakfast. We are well looked after.

great location, great staff room is a bit "boring" and not modern compare to another ibis hotels. breakfast was chip and really nice but without eggs or bacon. i would recommend to friends to stay in this hotel if they looking for nice place to sleep in the center of Porto. The parking service was great and cheap!

- It was a last day in Portugal tour for us and as we stayed in Porto for several days the week before , we were familiar with the city , so that we could act a citizen of Porto. - We could reach the hotel by metro , even the metro station was not next door. People needs to walk approx 10 minutes. Hotel location is close to the famous shopping street , Majestic Cafe , but a little far away from the riverside. If you know the city and like walking , it is still easy to reach the riverside by walking. It takes approx.25 - 30 minutes. - Our room was as Ibis standard , no surprise . Small , clean , tidy and easy going !!! - Wi-fi connection was very good.

Our 2 hour flight to Porto was 5 hours late and we did not get to the hotel until after 0100 hrs. We were delighted with the welcome and efficient check-in as well as being able to get a drink before settling down for the night. The room despite being small was neat and tidy and the en-suite shower and toilet appeared to be newly refurbished. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel was centrally located and within walking distance of the city's many attractions. There were several restaurants nearby which offered good value local dishes as well as international cuisine.

The staff here all understood and spoke English very well- we had an early flight and the front desk person called a taxi for us and had the driver come up to the third floor reception to get us, which was much appreciated at that time of day. Our room though a bit small had lots of storage and a well lit bathroom that was quite spacious. The Portuguese egg tarts were available at the Continental breakfast.

We stayed in the hotel in February 2017 only for one night and were satisfied. However after requesting the same room (809) but this time it was very hot outside and the air conditioning did not cool the room adequately if at all. When I brought this to the attention of reception I was told 'it was very hot outside' WHAT!!! that is the point of air conditioning. As a reasonably price central hotel its OK.

I really did enjoy the stay. I'd recommend to everybody book Hotel Ibis if going to Porto. I have no complaints at all. The location is perfect, lovely staff, outstabding service, appropriate breakfast. Cheers

Once we found the best route it was only 5 minutes' walk to Bolhão Station, with Metro services to Campanha Station (main-line rail) & the airport. No problems with the hotel. All walking routes to tourist attractions in Porto involved hills - impossible to avoid in that city!

Noisy to sleep, Very Friendly personal, Clean, I like to stay in IBIS hotels. Location is very good. It is near metro, easy to find for travelers. Rooms are large. Shopping are some feet from hotel, There some family restaurants with good meal and good drinks:)

Hotel located in downtown Porto, near a metro station ( Bolhão) and easy to access everywhere around. The staff is really helpful. A simple breakfast, but totally satisfied us. The hotel offers a discount to park a car ( if necessary) in a parking next to it. The bedroom was big enough to a couple, a 7-year-old kid and some suitcases. The shower was good, as well the bathroom. For us, it was perfect.

How much extra would it cost to provide customers with a more comfortable chair in room instead of hard school type chair which appears to be standard in all hotels.I am sure most customers would appreacite this rather than sitting on bed

I really enjoyed the Hotel and the staff very helpful. Recommend to friends and, next time, optarei by the same hotel. Need to improve the quality of television because it was difficult to pass directly to the channels.

Good place to stay at Porto for young people willing go be in the hotel and quite close to the party place. Arround few nice places to eat and go out for a beer. ery good localization to the Metro and shops.

The hotel is clean and well located. Although the front desk is in the 3rd floor it is easy and fast to get there. Good breakfast for a fair price. It's a good option if you are mot looking for luxury.

Have stayed in a few Ibis Hotels with my wife on various breaks. This Hotel was above a shopping complex and was rather like staying in a block of flats. Having put that to one side the hotel was lovely reception on the third floor and good security as well to all floors for the rooms. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful, room suited our needs and was clean. The breakfast was good. The location is perfect for the centre of Porto everything was within walking distance. Metro at Balhao is 5/10 minute walk away and there is a good supermarket under the hotel. No noise and good air conditioning. All the staff were friendly but a special mention for Pedro on reception and Carla on the restaurant. Recommend tips that are given at reception, including the yellow bus trips hop on & off good value for two days. R&A Jansen

We wanted to explore Porto, the lifestyles of everyday people, Portuguese attitudes and culture, wine, cuisine and art - and found it all easily right on our doorstop. The hotel had everything we needed, consistently healthy and diverse breakfast buffet choices, and within walking distance of excellent family-run local restaurants and cafes. Reception seemed a little haphazard at times, but everything happened as it should regardless. A real bonus was the security of the enclosed elevator access and the Pingo supermarket right next door (under cover). The range and quality of their products meant that we were able to pick up a BBQ chicken, fresh crusty bread, cheeses, reserve quality red wines, etc and picnic in our room within 5 minutes. Everything we wanted to see was walking distance.

The Ibis Porto Centro was clean, comfortable and staffed by friendly people. It is only a short walk from the historic sights and some very good restaurants and bars. Like any Ibis the room is basic but was perfectly fine for a four night stay and the air conditioning worked very well. Buffet breakfast at 6.90 Euro was fresh and plentiful. Or there are many other options in close proximity. Much better located than the Novotel, Mercure and other Ibis in Porto unless you have a car. Tip - if you want to catch a cab back to the hotel (less than 5 euros from anywhere in the old town after hours) it is pronounced "e"bis, not "eye"bis
