We have stayed at this hotel several times before. The reason we choose this hotel when we visit Madrid is summed up in three little words "Location, Location, Location" for a city centre location it is the best in our view. It is on a side street in the centre of everything like nightlife, bars, restaurants, and walking distance to all the main tourist sites and shopping, so all you need from a short break hotel. The rooms are basic as you would expect from a budget hotel, but they are modern and clean and are of a comfortable standard including the bed. One thing we like most is the rooms are quiet with little or no internal hotel noise like doors banging, although expect some outside voice noise on party nights and the young Spanish do love to party long into the night or should I say morning!. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful although the ACOR main IT system is a little less reliable with booking requests often overlooked on arrival. Another frustration is the unreliable WiFi it keeps dropping out for long periods as the hotel wifi system is not the best or strongest. They have though improved the safe box facility a little, still not in the room which I would prefer, but at least now they give you a box in reception that has a selected electronic private code to operate as before you needed two keys to open it. So in summery overall a good city centre budget hotel at an affordable price in comparison to others.... not much to complain about so I am sure we will be back!
