I think this is the best Ibis we've stayed in and we've stayed in a few! The room was immaculate and the beds and pillows lovely. The Internet was very good and the TV had an English news channel. We had a meal and a bottle of wine for a very reasonable price and the waiter was very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was excellent too! The two receptionists we came into contact with spoke good English and couldn't have been nicer - the manager should be very proud of his staff!
We recently stayed in Las Ventas Madrid, at Ibis, and was offered a welcome drink, which was an extremely nice red. In Alicante we were also offered a drink, which was an inferior warm white. Could you not have a standard house wine.
We enjoyed our stay in Alicante very much. The stay was great! We have only one suggestion : we would like more breakfast choices. Otherwise, we had a wonderful time in Alicante. We would lobe to return.
Excellent room and the food was very good. I would recommend this hotel as a bargain. We stayed for a night before getting the train to Madrid to watch a football match. The staff were very helpful as well
I stay at Ibis hotels often, throughout Europe and the Ibis Alicante (Airport) was as welcoming and friendly as ever. Good staff, good location (though the road outside is being dug up/improved and the traffic is a nightmare. But that's not Ibis's fault.) The only problem I - and it's a surprising one - is that the bed was the worst I've ever slept on. No, I really mean it. I had a terrible night's sleep the last night I was there. Since then I have been to two other Ibis hotels in Spain - I'm in one now, sitting on the bed - and in both cases the beds were perfect for me. It's a mystery - but if you go .... do avoid room 419.
I spent three nights in the hotel. I arrived late and was hungry luckily the restaurant was open until 11pm nevertheless it was 11 they served me a nice meal and good glass of wine. food was really good and fresh. The bar is open 24hours. The room was very clean, the bed was comfy. They offer a breakfast buffet with fresh fruits, veggies, freshly pressed orange juice, cold cuts. huge selection only for 7.50 euro. Very good price. It is a little far from city center but for that price is really good because the airport is not that far so you are in between. I definetly will stay again on my next trip to Alicante.
Great place to stay if using the Airport in Alicante especially now the builders are out! Back in March. Love the new bedding. THe decor is fine although the illuminated display behind the checkin is hard to read in the sunshine
This was my first time ever in a IBIS hotel. We were looking for a cheap hotel and a good night's sleep as we would be arriving late in the hotel and leave early for the airport. The hotel is close to the sea, next to a busy road. There is a parking in front, closed with a fence. It's a 15 minute taxi ride from the airport. Staff at reception was very friendly and the hotel foresees 24 hour beverages available downstairs. I had a room on the 2nd (top) floor with the new bedding. This was a guarantee for a good night. The acoustic isolation was not so good as I could hear people speak on the corridor. The bathroom is very small, but contains everything that is needed. For putting the clothes, everything is small, but efficiently organised. Everything was clean! I would go back if i need a cheap night on the way to the airport. I would not book it to visit Alicante as it is too far away (+/- 10 mins taxi) from Alicante city.
Would stay again and again in the ibis alicante. But we also stayed at the ibis Elche hotel where the check in experince was Very bad,And we were given a dirty Room.I pay £65 a year for ibis buisness account.i dont expect to be waiting 17 mins to check in then also given a room that has not even been cleaned,I was sent an email 2 days before arrival for online check in.and after completing this it said your key will be waiting for you when check in.I was asked by the receptionist was i staying 1 night where i replied are you looking at my booking or someone elses.as i said i did online check in for 3 nights. Then we spoke to the manager.where basicaly he made me feel 2ft tall.no one will speak to me like that.and for ibis buisness next year i will not be renewing my membership its a big con. This is directed at the Ibis hotel Elche.AS THEY HAVE NOT HAD THE TIME TO SEND ME AN ACCOUNT OF MY STAY THERE.IF YOU WANT PICTURES I HAVE THEM TOO.BUT MOST OF ALL OUR 2 STAYS AT IBIS HOTEL ALICANTE WAS GREAT.
Needed somewhere close to Alicante airport to stay overnight as inbound flight arrived too late to drive to ultimate destination. The Ibis provided the solution being reasonably close (€12 taxi), decent standard and good value. Comfortable room, nice bar/terrace area and good choice breakfast buffet. Very satisfied overall
Some changes going on. Why change the dining area? It was better the way it was. What is wrong with trays instead of people running back and forward all the time? Two African couples were making a right mess of the orange crushing process. My main complaint is that I would have chosen the 'Budget' annex instead of the main block but wasn't given the choice, by 'stealth' it would seem. Otherwise very good value for money. Staff, as usual, excellent. Doing away with the little bars of soap etc is that a worthwhile economy? It is those small things which add value and cost little.
Everything we kind of expected except dinner. Menu choices a bit vague but we chose burgers and a drink. Some while later a salad arrived, we did not order a salad. Waiter said from the hotel as service would be slower than usual. We were then told microwave broken, a some soup arrived which we had not ordered, looked awful. A while later we were told that the grill had broken so no burgers. We then chose pizzas which took over 30 min. to arrive, we saw then waiting and just got them ourselves. Otherwise it sort of suited our purpose of being near the airport.
Stayed there for 1 night before departing from ALC airport. Perfect location for people with a car - 5 minutes to airport and 10 minutes to city center. Pleasant surroundings - some other hotels around, very little noise from the road, nice staff, clean rooms. PC with printer was very helpful to print the airplane tickets. And the perfectly comfortable beds, yes :-) Everything was good, would definitely stay again
A typical Ibis Hotel located about 3 miles from the city of Alicante, The staff were both pleasant and helpful. Clean room and good shower facilities. Just across the road from the sea. Ideally located for the airport.
A very pleasant stay. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Very close to the airport. Enclosed parking. Although some of the rooms look out directly onto the beach and sea, you cannot access it directly as it is sealed off with a fence. Enjoyed the food in the restaurant too... will definitely stay again next time I'm in the area. Thoroughly recommend.
I arrived a day earlier than planned, but booked on a separate booking,I asked if I could have sea view but was turned straight down, gave my passport in,told them I was arriving a day earlier, but on my original booking I had asked for a sea view,I was told maybe when I check out in morning and re-check in,again they might be able to give me one,So much for being a silver member,Well after checking in I had to ask for my passport back, was not given a drinks voucher,Well went to my room, which was clean and looking over the main car park,Later that evening went to bar got a drink and a meal,I then asked do I get a free drink for being a silver member, after looking they said yes, after meal got my food bill, then went to bed, next morning went downstairs had breakfast, check out, then checked in again, asked for a sea view, I might one was told, then I was told I had to pay 1.75 euros.for a drink I had not payed for,So I checked my receipt from lastnight and found I was being charged for my FREE drink,I get for being a Silver member,Well got it Souter out,by being given a free drink voucher for my new check in,and also a sea view. room,I also payed for breakfast for the Sunday morning,But on the Saturday night I had another meal,Got my soup at 21.00 then had to wait till 22.15pm for a ham & cheese toaster, which I must say when looking at it,it looked disgusting, anyhow I took it to my room and had a couple of bites,Unfortunatley I ended up being sick most of the night,When I came down to reception I asked to speak with the manager, which turned out to be a very rude receptionist,I told her and showed her this sandwich, told her I had not been down for breakfast because I had been sick most of the night over this food,so could I just have breakfast on Monday morning instead,No I will give you a refund for your breakfast,So am I going to get a refund for my meal lastnight,No I cannot authorise that, you will have to see the manger at 08.00am on Monday morning,I said I would not be here,as was going for a early flight,OTHER THINGS,I booked an early morning call for 06.00am Monday morning did I get it,NO,not till 06.25pm by someone knocking on my door,I checked the phone that night that the volume was turned up,There was a dirty towel down the side of one of seats in eating area,Before you check in they are supposed to send you priority check in,which in never got,Also they have a thing where you get Extra points on Places by leclub hotels,Well I got points for the Friday nig
The staff were all brilliant, going the extra mile to help with anything we asked. The rooms were cleaned thoroughly every day with fresh towels and bedding provided. Buffet breakfast was usually well stocked and available from 7.30 am - 10.30 with staff on hand to help with special requests. Didn't have evening meals in but the smell was always good from the dining area with staff attending every need. Bar well served with variety of drinks. Very relaxed time with everything taken care of - would recommend highly
As a regular user of Ibis hotels the Ibis at Alicante fully met our expectations. However it is a popular resort and the hotel is showing some signs of being busy and ready for a lick of paint here and there, however, it is still kept clean and tidy and I wouldn't hesitate to use it again or recommending it to anyone. The only downside it's about 3 miles out of Alicante so you need a bus or taxi. It didn't affect us as we had our own transport (motorcycle) which was kept overnight in the free secure gated car park.
Clean room, good bed, airco (absolutely needed this time of the season). Breakfast was just correct, as what you need. Not with extra luxury and we also don't expect that. Nice to see that the parking area is surrounded with a security fence. We have had a hired car, so no problem that we stay more far away from the city and the beach (you can't go to the beach in front of the hotel, because a railroad is their, what you need to cross). Good to know that you don't hear anything of this railroad. For people without a car, a busstop is nearby.
Pleasant staff. Clean and good room. Cheap. Perfect location near the airport. Free parking in a closed area. (Imagine the rented car had been damaged/stolen during the night and I'll return it at 6 in the morning! I have enough other worries.)
