I frequently use this hotel, once a month in fact. on my last trip I was greeted by a very rude old female staff member. She was doing her paperwork on the front desk, I went and stood next to her and she kept ignoring me. As soon as I said I 'hi I would like to check in' she looked at me and called her Male colleague over and said help these people out. poor guy was serving someone else, he asked her if she could ..and then she replied to me oh you can't check in before 2pm. when I told her I had booked an early check in, then she said we have no rooms available (without checking the system). she just wasn't bothered. we had nowhere to go so we sat down and the male assistant, after he finished helping another customer sorted us a room out within 15 min. this attitude is pathetic and I suggest IBIS remove her from the front desk!
Have stayed beforecand would definitely stay again. Needed somewhere we coul have our cat with us and this fitted the bill. Owing to his presence we declined the breakfast option but had used that before and it is very good value.
Stay here on a weekly basis.Staff are excellent alway polite and very efficient Rooms are clean and there are tea and coffee facilities in the room. Good variety at breakfast Cannot fault the hotel or the staff
I booked four rooms check in was seamless no problems at all. This hotel is perfect for our needs. The breakfast was nice and fresh. The bar area is comfortable with a tv and pool table 1£ a game though. This hotel is adjacent to the M18 so motorway access not a problem.
As Always the rooms are adequate and the beds comfortable. There was an issue with an ill fitting window in room 301, which meant that all the noise from the road and drive through Macdonald's very loud
We think that tomatoes and mushrooms should be replaced on the breakfast menu not be replaced with very fatty hash brown. As someone who cannot eat fatty food the only choice I had on cooked breakfast was srcrambled eggs.
Stayed here for visiting an antique fair in Doncaster and The Caves in Nottingham, very convenient to motorways! Good budget hotel, everything was spotlessly clean and beds were comfy. Staff were very nice and most helpful.
Always a friendly welcome. Friendly and helpful staff. Room clean. Very conformtable bed. As a disabled person, my special needs are always accommodated (by prior notice). Very handy location for travel around the area.
As this hotel is in one of the most travelled to areas for me, I have plenty of opportunities to sample the competition - if I wanted to. The reality is that this hotel, and the staff who work in it offers me everything I want or need, so I am more than happy to keep coming back. Clean fresh rooms; good beds; good desk/light and wifi for working, sensible range of food at decent prices, and exemplary friendly service day or night. Very happy customer. Its even close to a cheap fuel station, McDonalds (not used but there) and a pub. Whats not to like!!
Got to the hotel after traveling from New Zealand, payed for early check in to be told "if you got early check in you can't because we were full last night and staff don't start till 10:00am" so if it's not guaranteed why take the money off you !!!!!!!
Easily found just off the M18 the Ibis Rotherham east has a reasonably sized car park. On entry we were immediately confronted by a member of staff who wished to book us in there in the entrance having only just entered the building, I don't know about you but I'm accustomed to booking in at the reception desk that's what it's for. Our room was larger than I'm accustomed to in an Ibis for this I'm grateful but with virtually no soap in the dispensers which ran out by next morning that at the sink was refilled that in the shower never was replaced even though requested several times. After a succession of dirty towels and failure to replace the bath mat it is felt that housekeeping could do with better supervision. Breakfast on the Sunday morning was not up to the standard provided by Carol on Monday & Tuesday thank you Carol. I almost forgot due to the proximity of the Motorway the noise levels are very high in the bedrooms this is not alleviated by being on the other side of the Hotel where in addition you can enjoy the the sound of the kids screeching around in their cars presumably visiting the Mcdonald's in the adjacent premises.
I drive past two other Ibis hotels to stay in this friendly hotel just off the M18 @ junction 1. The staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and are always trying new ways to keep you entertained.
Very handy stopover point with easy access to M1/M18. The rooms were very comfortable with no noise either from the motorway close by or neighbouring rooms. The. Rooms had everything we needed for a short refreshing stopover and would recommend to others.
Another very successful visit. Originally one planned for 1 night, the staff happily extended it for a second, and found a room for a colleague when plans changed at short notice. Friendly, helpful. Quick service, clean and well presented rooms. Good hot food.
We are regular users of Ibis Rotherham and have never been disappointed. It's a budget hotel and what you see is what you get. The hotel has everything we need; comfortable, warm, friendly, close to motorway and retail/food outlets. Staff are so nice (especially Carole who always remembers us). Breakfast is excellent and good value.
Great little hotel clean quiet and very comfybed excellent shower facilities would easily recommend.well done and thank you. Can't comment on dining as we didn't do the food experience .Staff also lovely
This is a budget hotel ideally situated for a stopover or a short stay. North Sheffield (Arena or Sheffield Ice) can be reached by car within a few minutes. There are fast food restaurants and a hypermarket in the vicinity of the hotel. All staff we met were friendly and approachable. The room was clean and, like the breakfast, of expected standard. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anybody who wants a cheap and convenient accommodation.
Great budget stay with easy access to motorway network and overall good value for money. Excellent conferencing facilities with wonderful home cooked food. Staff are very polite and helpful and do their best to please.
Really enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and comfortable, the shower was good, plenty of hot water. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room. There was a hairdryer in the room too. Breakfast was all you can eat buffet and was good value. Staff at reception were friendly.
Rooms are rather big and comfortable. Very comfortable beds. Bathroom clean, but carpets do not seem to be hoovered or cleaned at all. Morrisons store is in the direct neighbourhood which is very convenient. Close to the motorway, but it does not disturb your sleep. Good value for money.
