Located just opposite Midi station (platform 19 end) this hotel is convenient for public transport to access this interesting city. The reception was friendly and efficient. The room a good size with a comfortable bed and nights sleep. My room was located opposite the lift so there was some occasional external conversation noise. The breakfast selection was excellent and very enjoyable.
Conveniently sited for flying visit to some EU Offices, mostly using the Metro. Very comfortable beds and efficient and courteous service. Excellent breakfast set one up for the day, and friendly bar for a relaxing chat before bed.
I stayed in Karim's Belgian Beer Room. This room was amazing and I learned a lot about Belgian Beers. Service was great in the bar (as always). The breakfast was magnificent. I am very much looking forward to my next stay in July 2018. All the very best to the staff of this hotel.
The room was very cold - the window had been left open and the heating was inadequate or not working. The room could have done with a deep clean and refurbishment. The bar and reception area are nice.
Perfect location for travelling people - just across the street from Grand Central Station (Bruxelles Midi) The area is busy and crowded, but rather safe. Ibis seems to be pretty busy - sold out when we came on Friday night. Good place to stay when you have plans to visit places near the city (we went to Brugge by train)
Generally Ibis always offers good value for money. It has all the basics you need in a hotel and nothing more. The beds are good quality and the rooms are clean. I'm a big fan of vinyl flooring in hotels rooms (much more hygienic than carpeting). This counts also for Ibis Brussels Centre Gare Midi. Very good location if you travel by train or plane (direct train to the airport). If you travel by car in the weekend it's very cheap to park in the parking 'Hallepoort' (3 Euro for the whole weekend).
It is the second time I stayed at this property this year and the service got lot better from the first time. Although still some space for improvements, specially of the cleanliness of the room and restaurant.
Location is good, lobby is cosy but the room needs facelift. The smell is much to be desired. We have to buy some air freshener to get the room smells nice. Hope Ibis will renovate its dated and rundown rooms.
This place is a let down for Accor. The reception wasn't a real welcome, it may look modern but its the sort of arrangement one sees at a seedy club. In my room I fought off an insect. yuk. This place lets down the good name of Accor.
The best Ibis you can expect anywhere. Spatious rooms, excellent wifi, friendly staff. Very well located near metro and trains to the airport or TGV. Slow lifts at peak times, could be improved. So, take care if in a hurry.
Hotel near the main train station gare du midi. I was so close to the station, that I could take my time to catche the train. Unfortunatly, I miss it... Very nice hotel, good people are working there. Nice welcome and early checking granted (I've flight all night, it was good to have a rest for a few minutes in the morning. By the way, it is direct connection from the airport to gare du midi by train (about 20 minutes for less than 10€) Good ambiance on the hotel, always busy, nice bar, very nice breakfast for this hotel class. I recomand. Its 20 minutes walk to Brussels'center and grand place. It is not an expensive hotel and you can sleep well. The rooms are clean and quiet. Une bonne adresse pas trop loing du centre
Very good hotel.Bedroom more than big enough. Breakfast the best we have in Ibis hotel Reception staff and bar staff top rate especially Iga behind the bar. Perfect location.for train and trams metro and midi market.Hhere was nothing to dislike about this hotel .would we stay again, definitely
The hotel was convenient for the main station and within a short walking distance. The breakfast was a hot and cold selection of baked beans, bacon and sausages The hotel staff were very helpful and rooms were very clean and tidy
Right across from the train station, this is an affordable choice when you use the Eurostar from London. Very friendly helpful staff. Comfortable beds and soft wonderful pillows - something I rarely say in Europe.
I always stay here. It is close to the Eurostar terminal. The rooms are spacious and clean with free wifi. The buffet breakfast is excellent. The hotel also has an excellent bar with a very good range of food.
The hotel is located near the Brussels South railway station. The city center is on a walking distance but it is also possible to travel by metro. Hotel rooms are basic but sufficient for a good sleep. Breakfast buffet offers all you need for a good start of the day.
Not the most salubrious area of Brussels but very convenient for the Midi station and Eurostar. The centre of the city is walkable (just about) and, while basic, the rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, the bathroom functional and the breakfasts adequate and with a reasonable choice. Whilst the checkout time is quite early, there is a luggage locker system in the basement if you want to leave gear until catching a train later in the day or evening.
No air conditioning, seriously? THIS WAS REALLY DISAPPOINTING. I called the front desk and the guy told me that they only have a/c on summer season. If I was aware of this I definitely will not book this hotel. Especially because it was really hot on Brussels last week. Also there are a lot of areas of the hotel that smells like cigarette. THAT WAS DISGUSTING. Last but not least, I didn't feel secure. There was a lot of people outside the hotel and on the corner in front that make me feel insure.
The hotel is near to the main station as I needed somewhere convenient for an early morning onward train to Liege and Luxembourg. It is under a five minute walk through the tunnel and is easy to spot. It is in the mid range price category that I needed
The hotel is obviously popular and sees many guests throughout the year. Its not a fancy place and with the number of guests it services it obviously could use some renovations, but if you're not after luxury, then this is great value for money.
