+ Breakfast, good rooms, good location for me, overall it was very good for my purpose. - It is not very welcoming without a reception desk and without telephones there is no one to speak to if you have any problems e.g. in my case my sink did not drain, carpet was not very clean.

Spent 2 nights (Friday/Saturday) at the ibis recently and for the price I couldn't fault the room or the friendly, courteous staff. Breakfast was basic but OK for my needs and there was plenty of it and the 12 o'clock check-out on the Sunday was brilliant. It might get a bit rowdy if it fills with stag or hen parties but luckily for us this wasn't the case. On-line check-in and check-out was also a benefit. Would definitely use it again next time.

I was in Manchester in two very hot days in June 2017. The first day the air conditioning was not working, the second day it worked, but the only setting was ON/OFF, which was not so comfortable. The style of the hotel is minimalist, both in the furniture and in the reception. This is a matter of personal preference, but I would have preferred a more "traditional" environment. Apart from these comments, everything was OK.

Room a bit small and very plasticky . The hotel was perfect for city and university and we will defiantly use again, the staff were very friendly and helpful , Large car park nearby, but at £10 for 24 hours it's a bit steep if your staying for a few days .

I stay regularly at this hotel and it is in a great location with easy access to the centre of Manchester. I am a trans gender woman and the staff always make me very welcome. I will definitely stay there again.

The check in was quick and easy, allowing us to get in to our room early so we could go to the festival. The room was spacious and very clean. The shower was great. This location is brilliant as it is only a short walk from the town centre and also is very near a pub and a Spar supermarket if you need anything.

This new-style Ibis has done away with the traditional front desk. While that's great for a number of reasons, placing the check-in/out area at the end of the bar is not. WhIle I think empowering staff to be more engaging and hospitable (and not hidden behind a desk) is a great step forward for Ibis, the current layout at this hotel is weird and confusing - particularly if the staff are busy with other guests. Its just not clear what you are supposed to do. Sadly Accor/Ibis don't seem to have thought this through. I understand that this new check-in is 'on trial' at several hotels. I expect that for frequent travellers this should work well, but for the occasional traveller its very confusing.

Conveniently placed just outside the centre of the city, but near the car parks. Beds are very comfy, rooms quieter than they used to be and a bit nicer in general. Bathrooms sound. The free internet is fast and easy to use. Breakfast has improved a bit with the introduction of guacamole and the bread is as good as ever! The only downside to this stay was that my night did not qualify as a night on the loyalty account. This appears due to the hotels inability to change my 'no show' status to a 'turn up status', and I certainly did turn up and I enjoyed the hospitality and the breakfast! Apparently I wasn't checked in properly and there is no way to change it ... downer!

Room clean and tidy and well up to standard. Shower and bathroom area clean and tidy. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of food and plenty of choice. Staff are friendly and helpful and generally the hotel is very good

This is a fantastic hotel - great value for money, room and breakfast. Fabulously friendly staff. Reception and rooms look great after refurbishment. Will certainly be back again later in the year for another visit.

Easy to get to with a short stay drop off point outside. No on-site parking. Usual Ibis with quick service at check-in and easy walk to all parts of the city. Stayed 3 nights with Saturday being much more expensive (Manchester) but Friday and Sunday good value. Have stayed before and will stay again.

The hotel is about an 8min walk from Piccadilly Station and about 10mins from Piccadilly Gardens and the shopping centre. A short walk to Oxford! Road and all the buses there. The hotel seems fairly new and the rooms are good, with very comfortable beds. The only downside is that there can be a lot of traffic noise. The breakfast range was exceptional and the best we have had anywhere in a mid range hotel. All fresh. Check in is "interesting ".and different as it is all done on a phone. It works though! If you are there to go to meetings, there is provision to leave bags until later.

We booked our stay on the hotel website and were delighted to be given the option to pay an extra charge for early checkin, as we would be arriving on an overnight flight. What a terrific option! The other remarkable experience was the breakfast. It was excellent, and lasted us well into the afternoon each day as we toured Manchester.

friendly and helpful staff. Room was very clean. Shower was brilliant. Breakfast was very good with a good variety of food available. Some noise from outside during night. Within easy walking distance to city centre.

Stayed at this hotel many times Staff are excellent and the rooms are clean and well looked after. Would recommend to anyone. First class on all fronts. Free wi fi is an added bonus and grest u can check in on line.

Friendly, helpful and efficient staff. Comfortable, quiet and pleasant stay (surprisingly quiet for a bank holiday weekend). Hotel is well located for public transport, cultural events and shopping. Ibis breakfasts are excellent.

The location, the rooms and reception were good... I really loved the variety of breakfast products. The staff was very kind, just a little problem .. they could not find a medicine I asked them to keep in the fridge (since there wasn't one in the room)...sorry for it..... but apart from that overall rating is good.... you can easily walk everywhere..... I'd recommend it!

This is an average hotel with limited services. Rooms need to be cleaned more thoroughly. Staff friendly though. If you get this as on a good deal then its worth booking but there are far more hotels in Manchester that are superior for about the same cost.

The staff were all very lovely and pleasant, whether at check-in, very early breakfast, a special request or check-out. I've stayed in many Ibis hotels, and these staff members were among the nicest. The biggest disadvantage to the site is that it does not have its own restaurant for an evening meal, and the bar menu was fairly basic and uninspiring. However, the rooms were Ibis-level clean and basic, and this was a usefully close base for a two-day conference at the university.

The hotel was clean and pleasant enough. The food menu could have been better, never stayed in a hotel that didn't serve chips (fries), there was also no room service, the hotel room I stayed in was excellent especially the bed and shower. I would stay again.
