Having had my first stay at the IBIS in Manchester this one was a disappointment. Glasgow seems like the poor relation. I now know that there is no reception desk, but staff should be more attentive. The breakfast compared to Manchester was poor - sorry. Big purple storage boxes in corridors and stairwells - did mention to staff but ws told that store rooms not big enough. Stairwells.... they are fire escapes and should not be used for storage. Rooms were ok for what we paid but will think again before booking an IBIS hotel.

This place is really handy when I have a research day at the Mitchell Library planned on a Monday. Check in on Sunday and relax then a ten minute walk on Monday morning to the library. Hotel always seems to be full of tourists which is a good sign.

Arrived early and was given a room without much fuss , Room was clean and quiet , What more do you want. Tour Bus was a bit in the way when they arrived only because reception is small.Only 10 min walk to Central Station.

The name of the hotel is Ibis Glasgow City Centre but it's not located in the city centre at all. The area is a little downgraded. The room and breakfast were very good. The employee at the reception was really kind.

Budget night out easy to book and check in. Bar busy later in evening. Just round corner from bath street near Charing Cross so handy for westend. Room at back of hotel no view but with window open street noise quite loud.

The central location was veryk nice and made walking around the city very convenient. The parking was easy, but icity park I n g was expensive, 6 pounds for two hours. However, if you arrive after 6pm and leave by 8 am, parking was free.

Good hotel situated not far from Kings Theatre. Staff very friendly and hotel had a relaxing atmosphere. Beds were comfortable and there was plenty choice for breakfast. Will certainly use this hotel again.

Rooms spacious enough. Single beds in twin room seemed narrow and are a divan with thin mattress top - but surprisingly comfortable. En suite is a "pod" that wouldn't be out of place on a cruise ship. Shower very roomy. Waste water from other rooms caused our pipes to rattleand vibrate. Noise from adjacent rooms.View from our room was straight into office block to north. Dining area is tragic........very much like a fast food cafe, with food to match.

I had a standard Ibis experience - comfortable, practical and with friendly staff. The location was convenient for the City Centre and is a 5 minute walk from Charing Cross (Glasgow) train station. I didn't use the restaurant or the bar but both looked fine.

The staff were very friendly and informative and the hotel room was small but clean and well maintained. The free WIFI was surprisingly competent. ...a larger kettle would have been an improvement, but that's just a minor gripe.

Super place to stay close to the centre of Glasgow. we were made very welcome when we booked in, and the staff gave us great service during our stay. slept very well in a very comfortable bed. Had a drink and something to eat just before midnight ,you don't get this everywhere

I am a regular at this hotel because I have to come to Glasgow every other month for 2-3 weeks. For the last 4 years I used almost exclusively Ibis because you get the best value for the money. I like that I have Internet access and telephone in the room. The staff is helpful and kind.

Hotel is centrally placed with good access to the shopping area, good services, good breakfast. The level of accommodation corresponding to the price, but very satisfactory. The transport services mainly by taxi, quick.

There is no tv in the rooms if you like that when you sleep. Also the bathroom felt like your in a space ship if that's the best way to explain. It's like a mobile home bathroom in the room. There was a good amount of plugs around for getting ready and charging phones

A good budget hotel, my second stay and have found it clean, comfortable and good value. Convenient location and generous checkout time. Havent tried the food so cannot comment. Plenty pubs/restaurants nearby. Recommended.

I have stayed at Ibis hotels in other places and I think this one in Glasgow is quite nice too. The rooms are clean and tidy. The good thing I found that my room was very quiet and so I could have a great night sleep. Parking is at a public car park a short distance from the hotel and is discounted at 12 pounds per 24 hours. Check in and check out are swift. This is a real boon compared to other more pricey hotels where you can be standing in a queue for a long time! It is about a 15 minute walk to the city centre. I would stay here again.

Stayed here before I went on a gold card member .I was greeted with a warm welcome .Was checked in very quickly . Ibis is very close to a lot of pubs and restaurants .For £27it was a great deal .

No complaints whatsoever. Ideal location, Staff courteous. Room was spotless. I will certainly use this Hotel again, for future visits to Glasgow. Ideal location for my visit. Plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance.

This hotel describes itself as quiet and cosy, and it should be given its location away from the hustle and bustle of the hotspots. It certainly isn't quiet due to it's surrounding streets being used as racing venues for high performance vehicles with loud exhausts. My wife and me experienced this the first time we stayed (feb 2016), but this time it was far worse. Our biggest grievance is with the idiots that do it, however the way the hotel describes itself, contrasted with a notice in your room describing it as "city noise", and provides earbuds free of charge is nothing short of a sham. Who gets back to their hotel at midnight, and wants to start moving room because they cannot rest for the din outside? I've since read other reviews and seen that the hotel is trying to "work with the council on the road layout" to reduce the problem, so until they achieve this, my advice would be: if you are a night-clubber that gets in at 3am, this hotel may be right for you. If you are a theatre goer, shopper or sightseer, avoid this hotel. The rooms at the opposite side to the road are hardly any quieter

Ideal spot to stay, lots of lovely eating places within wakking distance from the hotel. The staff were all very friendly nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely recommend this hotel as a great place to stay.
