Basic parking lot considering a car had its window smashed the day we were there. Very noisy air conditioner in room - no sleep if left on, hot if we turned it off. Bed had 3 pillows instead of 4 and the mattress was uncomfortable and spongy on one side - seemed to have layers of mattresses. Breakfast day 1 was.poor but day 2 a bit better. .
Very noisy hotel, no welcome and no thank you for being a loyal Le club platinum plus member, rooms are run down and need a face lift, concrete stairs need maintenance. I cancelled a stay for a few nights after my initial night as the double tree by Hilton was only $104 a night, bargain. Better hotel, better rate and modern/quiet.
Our 5th visit to Ibis Styles Alice, Very well located, excellent Bar, Restaurant, Pool set up with outside dining and shades over the pool. Ideal for families with small children, but also relaxing after work/site seeing. Great bed comfort as per all Accor facilities.
We arrived an hour before check-in time but we warmly welcomed and told that our room was ready for us and we were given a map of what is quite a large site comprising 5 2 storey blocks each of around 20 - 24 rooms and several single storey buildings forming the public areas of the hotel. There are also 2 pools one quite large and a smaller one. Our room was on the ground floor of the "Fern Wing" it was a good size with a queen bed and a single. It was reasonably well furnished and decorated and the bed was very comfortable with crisp white linen, there was an good supply towels. The en-suite shower room whilst being a good size and well supplied with was in need of a make-over, mainly a re-tiling of the shower recess in which the floor tiles had been poorly laid such that the floor of the shower didn't drain properly, I should say that the both room and en-suite were clean. During our stay we had the continental breakfast (included in the room rate we paid) which we really enjoyed except that one morning there was no yoghurt (previous mornings we had a choice of natural or fruit) though there was plenty of fruit, cereal and breads. We had dinner in the restaurant one night of our stay and though the menu was limited the meal we had was cooked to perfection and was reasonable in price. The hotel is well located just a 10 minute walk into the centre of town and though we didn't have a car on this occasion there looked to be plenty of parking space around each of the main accommodation blocks. The Wi-Fi was easily accessed and most of the time was a good speed though once, in the afternoon, it was running very slow. Overall, we shall be happy to stay at the Ibis Styles Alice Springs Oasis next time we are in Alice Springs
Food was pretty good but the restaurant is very basic and felt like a mine site dining room. The room was nicely revamped but the air conditioner struggled with the heat of the afternoon sun. The bathroom is in desperate need of renovation. Cracked handbasins are not really acceptable even at 3 star level. Staff were pleasant and it is well located.
Upon arriving we were sent to a room that someone else was in, after trundling our luggage back & waiting we were reallocated another room without too much fuss. The big pluses were that the beds were comfortable, the rooms large and fairly quiet & the air-con worked well. Unfortunately that's where it stopped. It is an old motel that is having work slowly done (with some early noise outside the room from the gardener), tiles are cracked, the lounge was very stained & linen is very worn (holes & stains). The crockery or vanity wasn't cleaned the entire time we were there. I was left standing at the bar on one occasion & when I wanted to use the bbq (which the surrounds were filthy) I was left, with excuses from 2 lots of staff, in the heat, for almost 30 minutes...yes I got apologies in the end. I also asked for a late check-out but after looking at my booking (I am an accor silver member) I was told I could have an extra 90 minutes but after that I would have to pay. There doesn't seem to be enough parking for the number of rooms (due to where I had to park one night). There doesn't seem to be much pride in the upkeep of the motel. A 4 star rating usually means something different than this motel provides, & by putting this rating on this motel, at this stage of its life/development? I feel it only hurts the brand. Also, no matter the star rating, no motel should be this unkempt. It is a little far out of town to walk when it is hot, but do-able. The laundry is a useful room.
Stayed for.a night and got a.great deal. Staff are attentive and always ready to help. If you want a good place to stay and value for money, this is the place. Decent brekky but car parking could get filled easily so go early and secure your car parking slot..
We enjoyed our stay at the Ibis Styles. We were pleasantly surprised by the room size and facilities. Price is reasonable and there is no problem parking. Meal and bar service in the evenings were high quality and the food was good also. We appreciated provision of a guest laundry which worked fine although you may need to wait for a free machine. Reception staff helpful and provide good service. My only criticism is of somewhat indifferent service at breakfast.
Very Pleasantly surprised with our room, compared to our last stay here. Apart from one hiccup, which was sorted quickly and pleasantly our stay very enjoyable. One black mark is the terrible breakfast, but the Todd Mall is not far away. We shall be back as the location is central and close to the city centre and it is safe and secure.
The rooms have been updated and are clean but basic. If you would like to go into the town centre it is only about a 10 minute walk. The staff were very friendly and I would probably look to stay at this hotel again if I was ever back in Alice Springs.
We came here to take a trip to Uluru. First time around here. Didn't know what to expect. So it was OK I think. Do not know what are standards there. The trip itself was better than expected. So the overall experience is good.
stayed 3 times over a week period - at all times staff were great and friendly. rooms were basic and for an Ibis Styles it was what i would of expected. only thing that that let it down were the couple of cockroaches in the bathroom running around - this happened in 2 out of the three rooms i was in.
Was placed on the road side and next to room renovations and was staying for 3 nights so didn't get much sleep. The rooms are ok, very basic. Our power also went out for an entire day which was frustrating coming home at 2am. Service was good, the general manager was very friendly!
Excellent location, nice relaxing grounds. Good bistro, important when quality food choices are limited in town. We will use the bistro more often on our next visit and avoid disappointments and a night drive back to the hotel. Stairs to the first floor should be upgraded, but the room is comfortable with a excellent bed and linen. We will stay here again next year.
Basic Ibis. (No moisturiser or clock). Not crazy about lugging bag up stairs. Nicely surprised by bar and restaurant with limited menu, if gloomy interior. Two pools looked nice,, too cold to swim. good location.
Rooms were clean as were the bathrooms but the latter were 'tired' and need of renovation sometime in the future. Staff excellent. Heating (middle of winter) was excellent. Restaurant food reasonable, nothing startling.
Excellent value for money. The only problem we encountered was at breakfast on the Sunday morning, at 8:30am. We paid for the upgrade from a continental breakfast to a full breakfast ($11 extra per person) (as we had done the day before) but there was no hot food out, except for hard, dry scrambled eggs. They were out of beans, bacon, hash browns etc. Even the continental breakfast was lacking, no fruit, coffee cups, the coffee machine was broken. Finally they brought out bacon, but we had already just eaten. Disappointing as the rest of our stay was great.
A very dark and dingy room, sadly lacking and in need of a renovation to the bathroom and a coat of paint. Very difficult to think of enough to write about this hotel, very disappointing and won't be going back
We were upgraded but the room was in need of repair, mostly the bathroom, we stayed 3 nights but no housekeeping on the first day and nothing until we asked on the second day - the restaurant was closed, we think permanently apart from breakfast. Our dinner in the bar was akin to a backpacker experience and very noisy. The pool at night has no lights on and I wondered if anyone fell in, it would be morning before the body would have been discovered. Yes, this was not the best we have stayed at, but we received a complimentary bottle of wine and chocolates which was most appreciated but would have preferred simply a better staying experience.
My husband & I stay every 3 months & the service we receive is always fantastic. Little treats that we receive each time are always well appreciated. We stay in many places around Australia & find our stay in Alice Springs is always made very pleasant. The staff are friendly & very efficient in all areas.
