A well located hotel with a friendly staff and ambience. The breakfasts represent good value and are to be recommended. The hotel is undergoing refurbishment at the moment. Rooms are already very smart and the breakfast area is under renovation at this very moment.

Stayed here whilst visiting Leicester on business. Booked room as was cheapest option but after arrival was extremely impressed by the quality, modernity and cleanliness of both my room and hotel in general. Will definitely visit again! Liked the free smartphone in room. At first thought it was just a gimmick, but actually found couple of nice places to eat using it and other useful info.

Great location right in the middle of the City Centre. Very cheap and excellent value!! Spotless room.. Staff very helpful. Had a few problems with the door cards but a member of staff came up to the room to try and resolve and then moved us to another room immediately.

I use Accor hotels and would normally prefer Novotel or Sofitel. I booked IBis and was VERY pleasantly susrprised. Good location for central Leicester. All amenities excellent and really good value for price pad. Breakfast in am is fine not extensive but for price paid really good. Would recommend

Reception staff didn't seem entirely clear about what they were doing (but may have been training a new staff member). Rooms feel dark despite adequate windows. Otherwise, a good experience & I'd return again.

Normal good value Ibis experince great new decor in rooms comfy bed did not use restutant and left to early for breakfast, staff very helpful and pleasant, car park small you need to be there early to get a space (free)

I was in Leicester to put on a show at the Comedy Festival, so I wasn't looking for five-star luxury, and I didn't get it. My room was comfy enough - I even had a daytime nap following my opening night (which is a rare thing for me). And the shower was great. However, my room smelled strongly of carpet cleaner (I think); I had to leave the window open for 24 hours to get rid of it. And, when I got in at gone Midnight on the second night of my stay, my key card had stopped working. Reception sorted if for me quickly enough, but the lift was out of order and my room for on the fourth floor, which meant I had to run up the stairs twice (not what I wanted at that time of day).

Check in was great , room was fine, sadly the whole visit was let down badly by my experience of the very poor service in restaurant/bar. Shame as otherwise its not a bad place to stay. The person working behind the bar hid in the back room the whole time. I had to order food from reception after my mediocre fish and chips were given to me ( i had the same meal the evening before in Ibis in Shoreditch and it was a different class), at no point did anyone approach me to ask if I was happy with meal, offer me another drink, or ask if I would like desert or coffee etc. This was a real shame as I would have liked to have spent the evening in the restaurant but give up leaving my plate on the table and again had to go to reception to arrange to settle my bill. The service from the person running the restaurant was shocking. I use Ibis hotels and indeed this hotel frequently and sadly this level of service stood out against what I normally receive. The reception staff were great as they always are.

I know the Ibis hotel branch in Germany and I was happy with the service last year, that is why I chose the hotel in UK. In Leicester there was not an EU adaptor available, the room was not cleaned so one can be pleased about. I asked for hangers and never got them, so I kept half of my blouses on the chair. At that time refurbishment took place in other rooms, so that there was a lot of noise during the whole day.

Very basic stay at the hotel. Clean room, extra pillows, TV wasn't too bad. Bathroom was a 'pod' in the room. Very small and very wet! Shower space was a good size. Bed was on the hard side but larger than expected.

We chose Ibis Leicester because of its proximity to the central part of the city. It readily provides this as well as friendly and welcoming staff to make you stay more pleasant. The venue is convenient to all the sites and the rooms bright and comfortable.

Good location within walking distance of the town and train station. Parking is very limited at the hotel with the staff taking up much of the space. Room are what you would expect from an Ibis, functional without being luxurious. Parking is the biggest issue, quite difficult in Leicester anyway particularly if you want to stay over one night.

Location was good, there is work going on in the hotel so got noisy after 10am on the Saturday, bed was comfortable but pillows were awful. Shower was great. We didn't eat in the hotel just had some coffee it wasn't great and was overpriced

Hotel close to train station and the town , all walking distance to the university which is why we stayed here. Staff were all very friendly and helpful , however the room we had was very dated and the shower room was like one you would have in a caravan . Saying that it was a great shower though . Personally I would have preferred to pay more and stay in the premier inn which was closer to the station but full when we booked. The hotel is on he process of renovation and I'm sure it will be much nicer then .

Stayed here for one night recently. The staff were both polite and helpful. The room was spotlessly clean and warm and the bathroom and shower pod very impressive. Although the hotel is situated on the busy ring road the traffic could not be heard at all. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

A clean & basic bedroom, but perfectly adequate for a city weekend stopover. Comfy bed, good shower, free wifi, clean bathroom. Normally would have rated 3 stars but for the staff, especially Michael, who were extremely helpful & efficient with parking and getting family and disabled rooms organised close together for our small family group. If you're looking for chic, fancy & upmarket this isn't for you, if you want comfy, friendly, safe, nice breakfast, 3 minutes from the rail station, at a good price, this is fine.

The room and en suite was perfect no fault whatsoever.. It was my first stay at IBIS and I have to admit it has beaten Premier Inn for me. I usually stay at the 5-7 star hotels but needed a quick room for one night and got a room booked at IBIS would highly recommend.. The car park is limited but I got a space and cannot moan about anything quick and easy no problems.

Very clean hotel and excellent customer service. When I asked for a taxi the member of staff on reception ordered one immediately. Thought it might be noisy as the hotel is located on a main road but it was fine.

Very nice, clean hotel in good location just a short walk across to town about 5-10 minutes. Nice and friendly staff, good choice at breakfast. A spacious room with good amenities and luxury shower. The only downfall is the rock hard bed which is extremely difficult to sleep in. Would put me off staying here again because of this.

Had a great six nights in this Leicester hotel - a superb location minutes from the station and city centre and also handy for the Queen's Road and Stoneygate areas. Staff were brilliant and room and other facilities great. Certainly it would be at or near the top of my list for any future stay there.
