The room is clean and comfortable. Location is perfect in the heart of Melbourne, with Southern Cross Station 3 minutes walk away. Lots of eateries around in walking distance. Nice inexpensive stay if you are in Melbourne.
Stayed 3 nights. Good Location being near Southern Cross Station and Sky Bus. Staff very friendly and helpful. Street Quite. Breakfast was Great. We will go back when next looking to stay in CBD Melbourne.
The issue that I had with this hotel is just that it's old really, the whole place had a kind of sour smell that was partially masked by fragrance. Whilst everything looked clean, due to the smell and age of the furnishings I was still worried about walking around in the room without shoes. The room felt less like a hotel room and more like a dorm. There was very little sound isolation so you could hear people talking all the time, you could hear people watching TV in their rooms and the place shook when people closed their doors. The bathroom was the most modern looking aspect of the room, but even then - I was going from being burned by the shower to cold without adjusting the temperature, it just fluctuated that much. The way WIFI was provided was very strange for an Accor hotel, being that I was given a password that had specific limitations which when exceeded meant that I had to request another. Another thing that occurred was that the heating did not work initially and staff had to provide me with a portable heater. The thermostat was set to 19 degrees, and I went to sleep to wake up freezing with the thermostat reading 15.5.
Great location close to everything. Room was clean and well appointed with a very comfortable bed. Easy commute to and from the airport. I would definitely stay at the Ibis Melbourne Little Bourke Street again.
Very convenient location. Staff were very welcoming from the beginning. Room was clean and bed very comfortable. Television had free movie channels as well as regular channels. Buffet breakfast was terrific and all you can eat!
Staff excellent...room older style just like the pictures but exceptionally clean, highly recommend this hotel for a great value place. Position perfect..a 2 min walk from.skybus and.easy walk to all city attractions
Located very quietly in the small Little Bourke Street with excellent bus- and train-connections (Skybus, Southerncross) this hotel is my first choice whenever in Melbourne. This time I was declared "guest of the day" and my room upgraded to "heaven". A nice idea from a very friendly staff always available to help you with a profound knowledge of everything in the city. Starting with the served breakfast any day will be great!
Greeted with friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. If I was staying longer. Room was bit on small side, but had what we needed, although a microwave would be good if we were staying longer. But good comfortable stay.
I stayed at the Ibis on Little Bourke St at either end of a short trip to Hobart & once again found it to be an excellent choice . I came & went to & from Melbourne on the XPT train from Canberra so the location so close to Southern Cross Station was excellent as was the ease of catching the skyebus to Tullamarine airport to fly to & from Hobart . The rooms were excellent & the service superb with efficient & friendly staff . Highly recommended
We stay at the IBIS on Little Bourke Street frequently and it is by far the best small hotel in town. Friendly and attentive staff, clean rooms and extra goodies for Accor members. And it is close to everything. Just great.
I had a wonderful stay. The room was clean and i even received a little note from the lady who cleaned my room which i thought was lovely. The lady at reception Anastasia was so lovely and helpful when I rang and also when I went to check in. Thank you
I stayed ford 4 nights with my husband. Found the staff very helpful, great little hotel, comfy bed. Rooms nice and clean We had breakfast one of the mornings and it was really nice with a great variety from fruit to the full breakfast. Can't recommend enough
Felt like a VIP guest. Got the call 2 days before asking my preference for room. Welcomed me when I arrived and assisted me with parking. Then during the stay staff checked in on me and asked how things were going and If I needed anything. Great attention to detail.
Excellent position by south cross station also trams around city perfect for me to meet up with my son Hotel very helpful with information local etc they even contacted tour company for confirmation on tour I had arranged in uk Great staff great location use hotel again
Its a great little hotel that is so close to just about everything, Spencer St Station and Skybus terminal is literally 10mins walk away. You can jump on a tram to get around the city sq and out to docklands for shopping and Etihad which is also about a 15min walk. MCG is about 30minutes or so walk, less if you tram it a bit closer. This last time the room was a bit on the small side, it is the first time I have stayed with a female friend so wanted single beds instead of queen which my husband and I have had in the past. The queen rooms are a fair bit bigger with an armchair or 2 and coffee table. But given we were only sleeping there and not spending much time in the room it was fine. Staff always friendly.
The Ibis Little Bourke St is ideal as it is close to Southern Cross railway Station and within 5 minutes walk to Trams. It is also within walking distance to Melbourne's China Town. The hotel is very economical as well.
This has to the worst hotel i have stayed in, not much more to add. Breakfast was ok. The cleaning of the room was very poor, the Aircon was always pointed at the bed, the bathroom was very poor, the TV reception on all channels was very fuzzy. The reception people were friendly and i did enjoy our free 250 ml bottle of water for being a valued Accor member.
Don't normally stop at Ibis , but as the event I was attending was just around the corner, decided to stop here. On the plus side. was room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. Down side, rooms are on the small size and I was upgraded to a queen room., there is no onsite restaurant so little choice if you want to dine in. However the hotel is situated close to scores of restaurants, cafes and pubs so you will never go hungry. Overall its represents good value for money and I would not hesitate stopping there again.
Walking distance to Southern Cross Station and the exhibition and conference centre are a short tram ride away. It's short walk to shops, restaurants and cafes in the CBD. The breakfast was good value. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
the Ibis was fantastic value for money, great location, just near the train station and the room had everything we needed. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. I would recommend the ibis to anyone looking for a room to stay in the heart of Melbourne with access to everything Melbourne has to offer.
