Greeted with friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. If I was staying longer. Room was bit on small side, but had what we needed, although a microwave would be good if we were staying longer. But good comfortable stay.
I stayed at the Ibis on Little Bourke St at either end of a short trip to Hobart & once again found it to be an excellent choice . I came & went to & from Melbourne on the XPT train from Canberra so the location so close to Southern Cross Station was excellent as was the ease of catching the skyebus to Tullamarine airport to fly to & from Hobart . The rooms were excellent & the service superb with efficient & friendly staff . Highly recommended
We stay at the IBIS on Little Bourke Street frequently and it is by far the best small hotel in town. Friendly and attentive staff, clean rooms and extra goodies for Accor members. And it is close to everything. Just great.
I had a wonderful stay. The room was clean and i even received a little note from the lady who cleaned my room which i thought was lovely. The lady at reception Anastasia was so lovely and helpful when I rang and also when I went to check in. Thank you
I stayed ford 4 nights with my husband. Found the staff very helpful, great little hotel, comfy bed. Rooms nice and clean We had breakfast one of the mornings and it was really nice with a great variety from fruit to the full breakfast. Can't recommend enough
Felt like a VIP guest. Got the call 2 days before asking my preference for room. Welcomed me when I arrived and assisted me with parking. Then during the stay staff checked in on me and asked how things were going and If I needed anything. Great attention to detail.
Excellent position by south cross station also trams around city perfect for me to meet up with my son Hotel very helpful with information local etc they even contacted tour company for confirmation on tour I had arranged in uk Great staff great location use hotel again
Its a great little hotel that is so close to just about everything, Spencer St Station and Skybus terminal is literally 10mins walk away. You can jump on a tram to get around the city sq and out to docklands for shopping and Etihad which is also about a 15min walk. MCG is about 30minutes or so walk, less if you tram it a bit closer. This last time the room was a bit on the small side, it is the first time I have stayed with a female friend so wanted single beds instead of queen which my husband and I have had in the past. The queen rooms are a fair bit bigger with an armchair or 2 and coffee table. But given we were only sleeping there and not spending much time in the room it was fine. Staff always friendly.
The Ibis Little Bourke St is ideal as it is close to Southern Cross railway Station and within 5 minutes walk to Trams. It is also within walking distance to Melbourne's China Town. The hotel is very economical as well.
This has to the worst hotel i have stayed in, not much more to add. Breakfast was ok. The cleaning of the room was very poor, the Aircon was always pointed at the bed, the bathroom was very poor, the TV reception on all channels was very fuzzy. The reception people were friendly and i did enjoy our free 250 ml bottle of water for being a valued Accor member.
Don't normally stop at Ibis , but as the event I was attending was just around the corner, decided to stop here. On the plus side. was room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. Down side, rooms are on the small size and I was upgraded to a queen room., there is no onsite restaurant so little choice if you want to dine in. However the hotel is situated close to scores of restaurants, cafes and pubs so you will never go hungry. Overall its represents good value for money and I would not hesitate stopping there again.
Walking distance to Southern Cross Station and the exhibition and conference centre are a short tram ride away. It's short walk to shops, restaurants and cafes in the CBD. The breakfast was good value. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
the Ibis was fantastic value for money, great location, just near the train station and the room had everything we needed. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. I would recommend the ibis to anyone looking for a room to stay in the heart of Melbourne with access to everything Melbourne has to offer.
My experience on arrival at Reception was awful, I was sent off to my room with just a plastic card key, no explanation, no proof of what I had paid for, was asked for a $50 security withdrawal to be made on my credit card & advised that it could take up to 10 days for that to go back into my account if it wasn't used, nothing about internet access or breakfast tokens. Someone in the lift advised me about the how the card key worked. I had to request info about accessing Whyfi. And it wasn't till next morning at breakfast that I learnt I was supposed to have a pass to give to the staff in the breakfast room. I'm sure the girl on Reception was either brand new or a kid on work experience! Understandably I didn't go back near reception for the rest of my stay till when I checked out when I asked to leave my bag there for the day, the same girl took my bag and initially wasn't inclined to give me a document to prove I was leaving it there, that only happened after I requested it. Cleaning & breakfast staff were wonderful, very polite & helpful. Based on what happened at Reception I'd never stay Ibis again!
My son and I enjoyed our stay on trip to Melbourne for tennis open. Hotel while not luxurious was able to suit our needs for the 6 nights. Our room had all required for our stay. The breakfast buffet was good and always replenished when required. Hotel was close to the Skybus and Southern Cross Rail station but a bit of a walk to catch tennis trams. Staff were always friendly and helpful.
I have stayed at this ibis Hotel many times over the past 15-20 times. As always. excellent value for money clean room, good reception, great location and satisfactory breakfast. I will stay again next time I stay in Melbourne.
Good location for where we wanted to go. The bed was so comfortable and we didn't hear any noise, very quiet. We will return. Would be fabulous for football games. Would recommend this hotel to our friends.
Catch the Sky Bus and your hotel is 300m up the road, with trams in the next street in the free travel zone! This spot is one we've used for years and have never been disappointed. Cheap, clean and handy!
This was an excellent hotel for a solo traveller. Nice and close to all amenities, station, tram, shops and food outlets. Staff were helpful and pleasant, room was generous and quiet. Would definitely stay here again.
This is a great place to stay for business. It is 400 metres from Southern Cross Station and the Sky bus stop. It is also only 3-4 minutes to the Burke Street Mall and most other City stops. The facilities are good, clean, basic and everything works. The breakfast is good and convenient.
