This was my return visit to see more things in Cardiff. It is a short walk from main train station. There are many restaurants, stores and the mall nearby. The room is spacious. I enjoyed the view. There is a good selection of tv channels. Two years in a row, the lift (elevator) was broken during my checkout. Thankfully, you came and got my luggage to take downstairs.

Standard of room and general facilities fine but the hotel is let down by breakfast. Food and service are not up to the standard expected. Needs more space for serving food and make sure all items for breakfast are available all the time.

This is an excellent city centre location but outside can be very noisy overnight at weekends. The facilities were first class and the staff were brilliant. There was an issue as we had pre-paid including breakfast which wasn't on the hotel system..but within a couple of minutes everything was sorted. Parking : No hotel car park but they get discount at open air NCP car park opposite £17 per night!! 2 minutes walk away there is a NCP multi-storey car park which cost me £8.10 for 24 hour stay!

Online check in was quick and efficient. The room was clean, spotless and tidily made up. I slept well in the very comfy bed. Breakfast next morning (for once I had enough spare time to relax and take my time!) was good value and top quality. My thanks go to all of the staff who helped my latest stay such an enjoyable one!

We stayed here for two nights to visit family just outside Cardiff. We had a top room, which was disabled access (kind of?). The room was incredibly dated and very small, so small that the door kept getting stuck on the bed and we had to keep shoving it back. The door to the disabled toilet wasn't working correctly and I needed two hands and to lift the door to open and close it, I am not sure how ibis see disabled people doing this. The hotel corridors were noisy and no attempts were made by signage or hotel staff to keep it quiet, unlike premier Inn who have much better sound proofing and enforce a quiet time. The first night was near impossible to sleep due to the drunken revellers coming back and shouting down the corridor and slamming doors. Unlikely to stay with ibis again.

Checked in and told lifts out of order. I had disabled room on floor one. Poor layout as door just passed bed by millimeters. Carpet coming away from walls in two places, shower had marks, on the second morning from 6:45am I could hear music coming from downstairs. When I went down to reception the lady said it was impossible to be coming from reception. I offered the lady to go to my room to listen as I was popping out, When I returned nothing was said.I must say that I had stayed there for xmas 2016 and it was much better

Stayed for 2 nights at Ibis Cardiff found hotel well located. The hotel is typical Ibis which I find to be consistent across the world. Room was clean and comfortable breakfast in the hotel was plentiful located would have no problem in staying again at this hotel

Very clean, ideally located. Very efficient check in and departure. Rooms were well equipped with good black out curtains ensuring no street lights or noise affected our sleep. Would definitely stay here again

Personal was Friendly althou Service Not that good. Hotel was Loud (Arena next door). Rooms (Twin) small with Hard beds. Breakfast expansive. Not enough Bread. Payed Breakfast cash. Still billed the Credit Card. Should Not Happen!

Generally acceptable all round. However, it's not acceptable to hike up the prices of the rooms on an event w/e. Parking difficult to find. Room basic but ok. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Location close to cit ycentre.

We have stayed at this particular hotel quite a few times. As always the rooms were clean, comfortable and well appointed ,the service from the staff was very good. There was a problem when we arrived when I was asked to pay for the room I thought I had all ready paid for in June but the member of staff was insistent. I paid by credit card thinking the system had changed. I went to my room, fortunately I had my original invoice with me which confirmed the account had been settled. I went immediately downstairs where the Manager agreed a mistake had been made and credited my card with the amount. If I had not had my paperwork with me I would have had to check at home which would have involved correspondence between us which would have been inconvenient. Nevertheless this will not have any influence on me booking future accommodation with your company Regards Robert Beales

Convenient, clean, comfortable (if basic) but much too noisy. You have the choice of being the railway side of the hotel or the road side. The location can't be beat if you go to the Motorpoint Arena since it is right next to it and you can come straight out and be back in your room within 5 minutes. However, you are right by the unloading bay and if the Arena is striking the night's set then you have lots of noise from lorries and equipment. If the hotel improve the double/tripple glazing then it would be majorly improved.

convenient location, easy check in and out. Standards rather like a student hall of residence that I stayed in. Slept well so did what it said on the can-a budget room for the night. Friendly, helpful reception staff to be commended

Not a great trip frankly. The lift was broken, and despite the apologies on the door and at reception, it did not seem like this was going to be fixed very soon. The fire exit on the ground floor was blocked every day by the cleaning trolleys, full of nice flammable towels, which was also far from ideal. Other than that, the room itself was fine, but marred by the bar outside playing music every night. Apparently the rooms were soundproof... Not so!

Very efficient booking system and the usual good welcome on arrival . Staff are efficient and friendly . Really appreciate the 13 check out time when so many others are moving this back to 11 and even earlier

Use this hotel frequently when staying in Cardiff. Prices are reasonable (especially for a city centre hotel, opposite Motorpoint Arena and 5 mins from St Davids Hall!) The staff are very friendly and helpful, rooms always clean. Could do with a larger choice of food but that's it really.

Have a lovely stay with Ibis Cardiff on Friday 29th, staff were very helpful and explained everything and the breakfast was lovely. I would recommend this hotel if coming to Cardiff, great location within the city. Would definitely stay again. The only thing I would suggest is maybe the hotel could make some arrangements with the NCP across the road for a better price for an overnight stay. £22.00 for an overnight stay is rather expensive, I appreciate there are cheaper car parks for overnight stays, but I prefer to be able to see my car whilst in the hotel.

Have been to the Ibis hotel on several occasions and have never been disappointed. The staff are wonderfully helpful and friendly. Rooms are clean and practical. Stayed 4 nights and apart from the last night had great nights sleep. On last night was woken by some drunken man shouting the odds for a considerable amount of time. Having the window open probably didn't help, and not sure if the "gentleman" was in hotel or outside. This would certainly not put me off staying again, and infact booked for 1st week Dec. This hotel, as far as I am concerned ,is great value for money. Brilliantly situated for railway stations and the amazing shopping precinct, restaurants and other amenities

I an registered blind. From the time I booked in there were issues with payment. The guy took payment even though I paid online. Ended up with two lots of payment taken. It was paid back eventually. Issues with the card keys not working, constantly having to return to reception because cards wouldn't work. Breakfast was poor on the first morning, no fresh fruit, but managed to have fruit salad on the second.

Great Stay, great staff breakfast is a must . Parking is at the NCP is very close and cheap for a city. would recommend the bay number 6 bus for getting around. The bus stop is directly out side the hotel.
