I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Rooms clean . Breakfasts was excellent. Right in the city centre. Close to all the bars and shops. Will definitely stay again. Soon.😃

Absolutely deafening non stop booming music from a bar next to the hotel that was vibrating our windows at the far end of the hotel ruined our entire stay at the Ibis Cardiff Central. The room was immaculate and the Ibis staff were delighted on a positive note!! We really enjoyed our meal too. Sleep quality was terrible because of non stop trains and people leaving clubs in the early hours. We couldn't open a window because of the hotels location near a train station.

I have stayed at this hotel previously, so knew what to expect - and I found it good as I anticipated. OK, Ibis as a brand is predictable, but that is part of the attraction. The hotel is very well located for my purposes. The catering turned out to be a little better than I expected. I am very pleased to say that the Wi-Fi worked well.

Great location for staying in the centre of Cardiff if you are planning a night out, it's an ideal location as its only a few minutes walk to the pubs and clubs. The rear of St Davids shopping centre is also just a walk through the carpark so quick and easy to get to the shopping area. Plenty of parking nearbye (there is a carpark directly opposite) although Cardiff can be quite expensive there is Cardiff Pellett Street car park which at £7.20 pre booked online for 23 hrs parking works out a fraction of the price of other Carparks. The hotel itself staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are plenty big enough, nice and clean and comfortable beds. Was a very warm day when I stayed there but the room stayed nice and cool. Breakfast was very good and a nice enough selection for cooked breakfast, cereals, fruit and pastries. Overall would recommend the hotel and certainly stay there again.

Checked in online, so when I arrived my keys were ready. There was flavoured cold water at reception which was well received as it was a very hot day. The room clean and tidy. I had a shower and the water was easy to control to the temperature I wanted. But the size of the towels is unbelievably small - they are the smallest towels I have ever used and when you have long hair the towel just about fitted but around my body when I will not say anymore except when you are 5ft 10 ins tall, the bits do not cover very well. The mattress was a bit hard for me but..... I did not book breakfast but at £8.95p there are many places around where you can have better value breakfast.

Excellent nights stay. Friendly staff, nothing too much trouble for them. It was a very hot and humid day and the lemon and lime iced water at reception was most welcome. Basic but everything you need for a short stay. Superbly clean. Would definitely recommend.

Where do I start? Rooms not cleaned properly by housekeeping. Toilet flush not working consistently. Pressure of water in bathroom tap and shower not high enough. No A.C. in hotel, which in the summer is a nightmare. Fans were provided but the room was still hot!

The hotel was centrally situated in Cardiff, minutes away from shops and restaurants. Rooms are clean and beds comfortable, although I like a softer pillow, generous with tea and coffee. Staff are willing and very helpful.

Check in was quick and staff were very pleasant; room was fine, although somewhat noisy when the arena (which my room faced) were packing away late at night. Wifi kept dropping out on my phone and would not connect on my laptop, but this was not a huge problem for me as I had a lot of off-line work to do, so the lack of internet distractions was welcome!! Bed was comfortable and I slept well, bathroom was also fine, with a huge shower space! I used the restaurant downstairs for one night, which was fine but nothing special, pizza could have done with another minute in the oven I feel, but it did the job. I am happier to say that breakfast was very good, with a good range of food on offer, the warm offering was also good and seemed high-quality, and I would also not have been disappointed with the continental selection if that is what I had fancied at the time; and as ever, the staff were friendly and helpful. Speedy check-out lived up to its name and I received the invoice via email soon after, once again staff were friendly and helpful, offering me an umbrella for the day as it was very wet outside. I took the options to leave my bags at the hotel while I attended a conference locally, the £2 charge for this was a little unexpected, as I have never paid for this service before in a hotel, but needs must!

The bedroom was very comfortable ,sleep quality good .The shower was excellent ,very safe to use . Near central station and opposite a large car park - I will stay at the Ibis when going to the Rugby or Cricket .

Ideally placed for Motorpoint Concerts etc. Easy stroll into the centre for shops if you chose. Cracking breakfast buffet with top class cheese and ham, breads and croissants provided by a helpful and well lead staff. Definitely use this one again - but parking is much cheaper just away from the Arena area itself.

Stayed overnight as had tickets for concert at the Motorpoint arena adjacent to this hotel. So location rates perfect. Cardiff is a walkable city and access to transport and excellent museums are easily available from this location. Ibis Cardiff complies to the usual standard of the chain and holds no surprises. Good bedding and sleep ensued. Breakfast area is small and menu reliable. No delay in obtaining a vacant table. Staff efficient. Bar prices somewhat high. I observed a guest paying £12 for two glasses of red wine but I could be a miser! Overall, ticked all the boxes. Would return.

5

Very happy with the Ibis Cardiff hotel. Perfect location, nice staff, clean and sufficiently spacious rooms, nice breakfast. The only minus is that the hotel does not have its own parking, it offers a discount for the nearest public parking (just opposite the hotel), but still the discount for the guests could be bigger, given the high price of the parking.

We chose the Ibis because it seemed much better value than the neighbouring Premier Inn, and we weren't disappointed. And of course, it's even better value when you sign up to their hotel group's loyalty scheme, Le Club Accor!

Had a great stay at the IBIS cardiff. Location is most ideal - in the heart of the city square. Walking distance from museum, city center, train station and great restaurants/pubs. Staff is friendly and make you feel at home. Rooms are comfortable for a business traveler and there is free wifi.

I just noticed the price breakdown. I happened to be there during the 6 Nations Rugby Tournament and WOW. Pricey for that night. The room was spacious, simple and quiet. I could have used more restocking on a few of those days of hand soap, toilet paper and tea. I had a nice view of a university and trains going by. The tv had a good selection of channels. The only improvements could be a safe and refrigerator.

We paid £300+ for the first night, £90+ for the second then £30+ for the last! All for the same room! We only had one towel each. The breakfast at £25 per person was too expensive so we went to a nice little place just round the corner. The hotel wanted to charge us £10 for early checking in and £2 to leave our bags after we'd checked out. It wasn't even that busy! A terrible place, talk about day light robbery!

Had a delay at check-in because the assistant did not know reconize the loyalty card. The room was clean, tidy and spacious for what I needed. Very handy for Motorpoint, St Davids Centre and cineworld. The room did not have a Do Not Disturb sign. Breakfast was interesting - there was a queue at the beverages machine which prevented guests from using the hot food plates. Bacon, sausages etc were replenished regularly. The staff were slow in removing the used plates and cutlery.

This is a better than average budget hotel. It is clean and very convenient for this wonderful Capital City. It is close to the shopping and attractions. We travelled by train and walked to and from Central Station

Great hotel & lovely staff, we stayed for two nights and were woken each morning at 0630 by laundry delivery on outside of building. Same thing happened on our last stay & we did tell management about problem. Sorry to say nothing has been done, surley laundry can be dropped off later in the day so as not to wake guest s.
